We visit Pahrump yearly for work. There aren't a lot of places to eat here. But somehow we've missed this one. They basically have bar food with some salads as well. The pictures make it all look pretty good. But the items that we got were very unseasoned. I would give them another try just because it's close, the prices were reasonable, and the food tasted somewhat fresh. But I would set my expectations lower. We got: Fried chicken salad - They forgot to give us dressing. The chicken was very bland. Chicken strips and tater tots - again the same chicken was used for the salad so it was bland. The tots tasted greasy and had no seasoning. Salmon salad - My kids liked this. They forgot dressing for this as well but I noticed and went back to get some. It's little cut up pieces of low quality salmon. Side of Fries - These were cooked fresh but lacked seasoning as well They are in the parking lot kind of in back of the fireworks store so it's easy to pass by. The young lady working in the front was very friendly. She was working all by herself. When I called to place my order, I had to call a couple times. She ended up calling me back. We had a few places picked out that we wanted to try in Pahrump, but they were all either closed on Sunday or closed because of Halloween. We ended up here since it was right by our hotel. Our order: - Heart Attack Fries - Ozark/Sweet & Spicy Boneless wings with Onion Rings - Elote Dog with Tots The Heart Attach Fries were pretty solid. I liked the meat on them and wanted more sauce for sure. The Elote was great, a little weird on a hot dog, but still good. The boneless wings were a mistake. They weren't crispy at all. In fact, they were almost mushy. The onion rings weren't cooked enough--the onion was still crunchy. If you need a place to eat, I'd go for a hot dog or maybe try a burger here. read more

When I tell you this is our go to spot!!! There is NEVER a bad order. Never a bad bite. The wings; we drive from Vegas to eat!! Huge portions the pictures don't do it justice. Frito burger- my husband says is absolutely delicious, has a tiny tiny spice to it, and perfectly cooked. Baja tacos- The crisp crunch of the fish is out of this world. The southwest sauce has a bite to it but pairs perfectly with the fish, everything tastes fresh. What's supposed to be cold is a perfect chill, the fish is so crispy and hot on the inside with no bad fish bites. The parm & tortilla are amazing. It's labeled as an appetizer but the tacos are bigger than my hands! The waitress is the same all the time and she is the cutest, sweetest, most attentive person! We come here for the service, the chill vibes, and the incredible food. Prices match the food and the quality is exceptional! A MUST try for foodies! Get the chicken wings with "spicy honey" and "garlic parm" sauce- the wings are so hot and have a great amount of meat on them, never a bad bite there either! The Place To Go is the name of a small family-oriented restaurant tucked away off of Hwy 160 in a strip mall in Pahrump, NV. Me and my son were craving wings and I found this place on YELP with high reviews. Parking lot was light, but was eager to take a look. We were met by a sweet girl named Janice. Charming and polite service from beginning to end. The Chef, Oscar came out later as well, and he was cool young man. Saying all that, the food was great. Shared the fish tacos and got 24 wings. This is not the place to go. Wish I could give it 0 stars I'm sitting on the toilet writing this review. The food makes you feel horrible and taste even worse after you wait 1 hour 45 minutes for it. I went here with 10 other people after reading some of the reviews, and thought this would be a good place to go. We went in and the lady greeted us and was kind enough to move some tables together so we could all sit together. We had ordered appetizers and they arrived about 1 hour 45 minutes later and then after waiting some more we got our food. We had our hopes up high because how long it took but we were let down really hard. I had ordered the teriyaki burger which was a double patty burger and I looked at it and thought it was a very small single patty burger. I opened it to look at it and the patties were about as big as 3 quarters. It was horrible and my fries were cold. Friday, 8th December 2023 @ 2:10pm. Went to Oscar's The Place To Go this afternoon. I work in the same shopping center and forgot my lunch today. Getting lunch at Oscar's seemed like a good idea. I've eaten here before. The food is usually good and the hostess is usually very nice. Today, this turned out to be a bad decision. The highlight of the experience was that the hostess was very pleasant. At lunch time, I walked to Oscars and ordered Taco Fries. Forty Five minutes later, no taco fries. So I walked back to Oscar's in search of my wayward lunch. The hostess was kind enough to check the kitchen and returned with my order. "They just finished it." She tells me. Oh good, fresh hot taco fries. Got back to my work, sat down to eat and my order was barely room temperature. The grated cheese the cook put on top of my order hadn't even begun to melt. The French fry I did eat was almost cold. The hamburger was barely over room temperature. It was very clear they had not "just made it". I can understand if they were busy and maybe it took them a while to get to the order. But they weren't busy. Not even close. There were a grand total of FIVE other people in the restaurant. And they had already been served. To make matters worse, I could see one of the employees sitting on a chair playing with his phone through the crack in their kitchen door. I'm no chef by any means, but I DO know it doesn't take forty five minutes to make Taco Fries. It's just French fries, hamburger meat, some diced tomato's and unions and maybe a dollop of sour cream. I've made taco fries at home myself and it didn't take forty five minutes. "They just made it." Bullsh@t!!! All that being said, the hostess was polite about refunding my money. Personally, I will not patronize Oscar's again. If you choose to, best of luck. You've been warned. read more

Food was really good. We had the ignition burger and the club wrap. Both were nicely done and tasty. No beer or wine, kind of sucked and as a result we will probably do it "to go" next time. The ambiance was kind of sterile and uninviting, but the wait staff did a great job. We were hoping for the sweet potato fries, but they were all out . The fries and onion rings were still pretty good. It would be nice to have the option to get a burger with only one patty (all the burgers have two patties- and they were great, but too much food for my wife or maybe younger eaters). Went back for a second try at this restaurant. Ordered patty melt and it was passable. My son in law ordered chili fries. The waitress said they were spicy which was ok. When they serve the food there were many burnt edges on the food. The chili was a chopped up hamburger patty with cayenne pepper or maybe chili powder. No sauce at all. Charred in many places. The one thing the cook does well is tater tots. Then the cook comes out and flops down at a table. Never have seen this at any restaurant. Seemed like he couldn't be bothered to cook good tasting food. I would have been ashamed to serve that food. Must say I had the same waitress both times. I hate that I have to write this review, I don't write reviews and I genuinely used to love this restaurant. However, everything from the service to the food quality from this restaurant has been so incredibly poor for the last several times we've ordered. We ordered delivery, and we're told to expect 45 minutes to an hour. It took 2 hours for the delivery to be made. The food is clearly been thrown into a microwave, (probably several times) as the styrofoam cartons have been warped around the food and my wife's salad was hot!!! We were in Pahrump for a short trip and came across this little spot. I can't say enough great things about it. The food was so fresh and tasted amazing. They have a very nice selection of food from wings, angus burgers, sandwiches, specialty fries, quesadillas and all beef hot dogs you name you're craving they probably have it. The waitress was very nice and the owner who's a young man and also the chef was amazing. He came out to make sure all was good and introduced himself. The adults and kids in my family loved everything we ordered. My pastrami hamburger was delicious and don't get me started on the home made big onion rings, fries, sweet potato and tater tots yumm! ....
