This place crushes breakfast every time. The staff's chill and friendly, and the pancakes? Next-level good.

Unfortunately, our experiences have been consistently disappointing. We have eaten here four times. The only genuinely positive service experience we had was when we sat at the bar. The other three visits, when dining with our kids, involved long waits to be seated and then extended periods sitting at the table without any service or acknowledgment. Our most recent experience was especially frustrating. We brought friends who were considering purchasing a home in Mountain Falls and wanted to introduce them to the community over lunch. We stood at the entrance of a half-empty restaurant for roughly five minutes before anyone acknowledged us. When someone finally did, we were simply told they were "behind" and that we would "have to wait awhile." There was no estimate, no effort to make us comfortable, and no attempt to improve the experience by seating us at one of the many empty tables so we could at least look over the menus and order drinks while they caught up. We waited another 15 minutes without any additional acknowledgment before deciding to leave and go elsewhere. The unfortunate part is that this place has real potential. The location, views, and atmosphere could easily make it a destination spot for people coming through Pahrump or for residents looking to entertain guests. But mediocre food can only survive if the service is excellent. Right now, the combination of mediocre food and consistently poor service makes it difficult to justify returning. I genuinely hope management turns it around because this restaurant could be far better than what it currently delivers.

We had to wait 30 minutes for a table. The restaurant was not busy at all We had to wait extremely long for our food. There was another table that was seated, served after us and was able to leave before our food was presented to us. My husband orders his sandwich lightly toasted and the bread was rock hard. It had to be remade and it took longer to come back out. Our server made the excuse that the other party had a much simpler order. The TVs had soccer game on them and we could hear the cooks cheering from the kitchen when a goal being scored. It was really annoying. My teriyaki bowl was okay but the veggies were burnt and chewy. The chicken was tasty. My friend ordered the French toast and quesadilla but both were mediocre.

I asked the person who seated us to describe the gravy that came with the biscuits and gravy. His words, "It's a country sausage gravy filled with chunks of sausage." I ordered that meal with hash browns extra crispy, eggs OM and bacon. I wish I had taken a pic. The gravy had ZERO meat in it and was thin, flavorless liquid you could see through. It just ran off the biscuits and puddled on the plate. The hash browns were almost raw inside and the eggs and yolks were cooked hard (with some gelatinous stuff in the white) and dumped in a weird pile on the plate, no effort was made to even make them look like two eggs on a plate. I did eat the bacon. When I paid for the meal, I looked the guy straight in the eye and asked, "You've never actually had the B&G here have you? Next time someone asks about the gravy, don't lie to them." I would go on to describe the steak and eggs one of us ordered, but I don't have that kind of time. He just put it in a to go box for his dog. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, the coffee was burnt and easily in the top 3 worst coffees I've ever had in a restaurant. I definitely won't be back here again.

There is a difference between slow and bad. Easily overwhelmed? Yes they are. Bad servers? No, absolutely not. Paris, our server, was actually very quick to take our order, quick on the refills, and brought the food out hot (well, one exception, not her fault). Hostess is super slow to sit you and the cooks take a bit but overall was very happy. Actually adding a star just for Paris, she was great. Again, witnessed other guests acting inappropriately, shocked at the composure the staff kept, makes me think they get it a lot. Food - adequate, prob should be a three star for the food. For starters, we got the lobster Mac and cheese bites. Sriracha sauce okay, not spicy at all tho. The "bites" are huge, it took like 4 bites to eat one. Three per order, unfortunately one was still cold in the middle, oh well. Both of us got the ribeye, fairly standard, a little overpriced but you're a captive audience, where else you gonna go? Came with a side of grilled veggies, these were pretty good, a winter squash, parsnip and carrot that seemed fresh. Baked potato, standard. Drinks - they have a separate bar that makes several cocktails, fairly good list actually, even have two fairly respectable whiskey flights. Wife ordered a sidecar and they ran out of cognac, so bartender asked if brandy was okay, turned out alright. I had a jalapeño margarita, jalapeños were pickled, still not sure if I liked it this way but overall drink options were nice touch, more than just blank and coke, gin and tonic, etc. Wine list very small. Didn't make it to the bar to see the beer selection but it was just a few handles on tap, the evil blue oval of bud light was the only one I recognized from a distance. Ambience - sitting by the windows watching the snow fall made us forget that a patron assaulted a server and police came to arrest them. Over wait times. WTF is wrong with ppl? Can't fault the restaurant for who shows up. That aside, there's a few fireplaces that give a warmth and glow, but also look like they need a deep scrub and some new paint. The country music playing has all the top hits from 1995. The view really is excellent and the huge vaulted ceiling with log cabin decor adds to the feeling that you are in Colorado not Nevada. I overall thought it was pleasant and enjoyable.
