I purchased a dining table set. One of the 2 bolt that holds the top table to the base was not tightening. I determined it was a defect in the actual bolt. The first tech came out and said one bolt had more thread then the other. This had to be rescheduled so that they could order new hardware. I finally get an appointment to install the new hardware with there 12-6 window. I wasted another day waiting for these guy to show up. Sure enough these guys show up 10 mins after 6pm with the wrong hardware! Really?! I called customer service to see if I could come pick up a hardware from another set of dining table they had. The lady said the only thing they could do was replace the whole table. I only needed one bolt! I had to rent a uhaul truck to get this table here in the first place now they want me to bring the table back just because policy won't allow you to pull the hardware from another set they had in stock already? This is ridiculous! Had you guys given me a non defective hardware in the first place we wouldn't be where we are at now. We purchased a rug from living spaces two months ago, the first rug delivered had damage it was replaced, now the new rug is starting to fray, I called living spaces and was told they don't have a warranty on rugs , it would of been nice to have been told that prior to purchasing, we did buy the protection plan and I was told to file a claim through them which I did, I get an email from the protection plan company saying fraying isn't covered. So why did we buy the protea plan. We have purchased a few things from living spaces and have had some issues. I will NEVER buy anything again from them, they do not stand behind their products and have horrible customer service. The warehouse was prompt and courteous. I assembled the chairs but, when I got to the table there was a defect that put me at a dead halt. I called immediately and they scheduled a new table to be delivered today. They were right on schedule and even assembled it for me! ALL FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE! These stars go to our sales person and our delivery drivers. Unfortunately my overall experience is negative, but the sales associate and drivers deserve some credit as they did nothing wrong. I ordered $3500 worth of furniture and unfortunately one piece (desk) did not fit in our door and we had to refuse it. We had another item in mind that we knew would fit, so we called to see if we could do a return and exchange. We were told that no matter what we chose to do about exchanging, we would be charged a restocking fee for the returned piece. I asked the rep if there was any way they could waive that fee if we were purchasing another item of equal ($800) value. I was told no. At that point, out of principle, I decided to just go ahead with the return and not replace the item. While I understand that it was our fault for not measuring, It is sad to me that this company would rather collect on a restocking fee than practice good customer service which would have in turn have actually helped them as we would have been spending that $800 for a new desk. PHX LIVING: DO NOT PURCHASE FROM LIVING SPACES. I ordered 8/22 for delivery 9/12 delivery, it came with a broken headboard (looked like a returned piece compared to the other packaging). Called for the replacement, then the person said check all boxes, rest were fine. Told me it will be delivered 9/19. I got a call TODAY, "sorry we never shipped it, it will be there in 7-14 days." Mind you I just put in another purchase yesterday, told me I'd have it Sunday, then called back (GOT HUNG UP ON THREE TIMES) and said, "oh, it'll just be another 7-14 days out. It's my understanding that their sales people are not paid on commission. This makes the whole buying process better. The sales people are knowledgeable about their products and listen to your needs. Great selection - but tough luck because it's probably not available! We found the perfect sectional and all that was available was the rug which we bought but it took them thirty minutes to pull it from their inventory with no wait. Unbelievably slow - we were in a huge rush and will not be purchasing any more items from this store due to the lack of organization and time it took all to buy a rug! Brian in Revive Department was a tremendous help to my husband and I on June 4th. His knowledge of all the mattresses regarding body type and sleep style and the best comfort level mattress to fit those specific criteria was right on target accurate. Not only that, when my husband and I couldn't agree on our choice, he was a neutral but helpful mediator for us. We did buy a Sealy King mattress, plush comfort level, and we LOVE it. We were more than a little disappointed that the mattress was on back order with a delivery date way out in June. To our delight the mattress did come two or three days after purchase not the anticipated delivery date of three weeks out. This was such an unbelievable convenience to us. Brian has excellent people skills as we were a challenge to him as a sales representative, but he was patient and did not give up on us until we were completely happy with our decision. They lie about the delivery fee. I paid $29 for a chest of drawers to be delivered inside the front door. When the delivery men came they told me they do not take the furniture out of the box and they were going to drop the box inside the door and leave. I was not told this when I purchased the furniture and arranged for delivery. I am not physically capable of removing furniture from the box and then disposing of the box. For this reason I refused the delivery. I immediately called the store to advise them of the situation and the individual I spoke with was unbelievably rude and said I was at fault for not understanding the "delivery" procedure. No, the salesperson is at fault for not telling me that delivery means they drop off furniture in a box inside the front door and expect me to set it up. (This had not been the procedure for past purchases.) This person really didn't seem to understand what the process was for a refund, so I asked for a manager to call me. What happened is someone (not a manager) called and said that I had requested another delivery with an upgraded delivery fee of $99. I never requested this and it was never even discussed! Again, more deception. In the past I have purchased furniture from Living Spaces and it was a great experience, which is why I returned to purchase more furniture. Obviously something has changed because now they cheat the customers and when asked about it they lie even more. Someone called me back and said that I had asked for a re-delivery for an additional $99 and told me she was the manager. I doubt she was the manager because she had a very difficult time communicating, to say the least. There are many places to buy furniture, and I will never again buy anything from Living Spaces. I wish I had read the reviews before going there again because obviously things have changed and it is no longer a good place to buy furniture. The worst experience! I head to living spaces and I order a queen size bed along with the dresser. It arrived seven days later but I was unable to set it up because I then start assembling the bed and noticed the hole on the headboard was too big and the screws were going straight through. I called for an exchange, I was told that they did not have the bed frame and they would give me a call and let me know once they get it. I then wait around for a few days and I get an email stating they do not have the bed but then I go online and they have the same exact bed( still no call). I then drive to living spaces and asked for an exchange, I was told it would take another 7 to 8 days to be delivered. Although, I was frustrated I was willing to wait 7 to 8 more days. Then finally, after 7 days bed arrives. I open the boxes to assemble it's cracked and chipped. I call customer service and then they tell me we will do an exchange but I would have to wait another 7 days. Scheduled delivery of Amos Extension Dining Table and Amos Bench on Tuesday 3/16. Scheduled delivery time was 2:45-5:45 pm. Order clearly stated "Full Service" but thats not what I received. Delivery people contacted me at 11:47 to ask if they could deliver in 30 minutes. I informed them that no one would be home until scheduled time. Instead of waiting for me to execute the $99.00 "Full Service" and bring the packages into my home and into the room of my choice and then commencing to assemble the furniture in a clean and open space, these guys decided to assemble the furniture in the back of the cramped delivery truck. I drove into my street to find them not only blocking my driveway hence access to my garage, I saw my Amos Bench in the street, not on the curb IN the street and found them hunched over the table trying to assemble the legs. I walked up and immediately noticed a big sliver of wood missing on one of the legs and it had remnants of a blue moving blanket within the splintered wood. Most likely from the blankets in the back of the truck. Unless China is now shipping their furniture wrapped in household blankets and not in foam sheeting it is pretty evident that the damage to the leg was from them trying to maneuver it as they tried to manipulate the space to turn it on its back. The Amos bench had bowed legs and with the damage to the table I refused delivery and proceeded to call Customer Service. On Wednesday I received an email with the heading "WHAT TO EXPECT WITH YOUR FULL SERVICE DELIVERY" Are you kidding me?!?! The email went on to announce that I could expect delivery of replacements between 5/25 and 6/8!!! Because your company's inept delivery men damaged my furniture by NOT honoring the "Full Service" protocol, I have to wait over 2 months for my dining room furniture?! Where is the "Customer Service" and restitution for this BLATANT misrepresentation of what the extra $99.00 will guarantee you. I will continue to try and contact someone at Corporate Headquarters in La Mirada, California to take this matter up with them and of course there will be a scathing YELP review as well. I recommend that someone who may or may not be capable of using a computer or a phone there, start calling daily to find the replacement table and bench from another location ASAP. read more

"Customer service/Warranty"? I have made four calls and waited over 2 months for missing hardware for a bedframe purchased in June 2021. The first call, I was told I would have the hardware in 7-10 days. That time passed and I called back to follow up. Call number two, they said the parts would come from the vendor and could take 8-10 weeks. Nothing arrived! The 3rd call, I was asked to submit photos and wait 72 hours for a call back. No one ever called back! Today, call number 4 and still no resolution. I was told to wait (again) 48 hours for a call from the store. If you shop here make sure your order/delivery is complete down to the last bolt/screw. I myself have no plans to purchase anything from Living Spaces again. After many weeks and several calls their solution was to wait for a replacement product that isn't in stock and weren't sure when it would be in stock or return the item for a refund. Four things constituted this poor review of Living Spaces. 1 - On the LS website we asked a question via their online form and never received a reply. 2 - Their website showed which stores had the item we were interested in on display. Went to the store and it was not the correct color. (Drove 60miles to store) 3 - Their salesman tried to explain the color difference from the store display and website picture was due to the lighting. (Website explained fabric as "Dark Grey" store display was a variegated Taupe. Not remotely close) 4 - Via the LS website, asked a question on the item page about the item and actual colors and receive an email the next day saying "our question had been rejected". Glad we did our due diligence on researching the product and store so we never made the mistake of purchasing from this poorly rated business. After how my family was treated tonight and my nephew was endangered by their furniture I am NEVER going to shop at Living Spaces!!!!! Know that this company doesn't care about child safety or company integrity! She even tried to call the company up for help or an explanation and they were unconcerned with the entire problem. Below is her story that happened tonight. I have added the photos taken to this page. "Friends and Family, Please DO NOT SHOP AT LIVING SPACES!!! Tonight around 7pm, Jude found something VERY disturbing that came from the sofa we purchased from Living Spaces just over a year ago . He had been playing in the family room with his toys, and crawled towards the couch. I had gotten up to through away a piece of trash and when I came back he was pulling his arm out from under the couch and put something I didn't recognize in his mouth! I quickly grabbed it to retrieve it and it was a dried chili pepper with 3 upholstery staples in it! Seeing as though Ryan and I have never owned dried chili peppers nor do we use upholstery staples we flipped over the couch to make sure there weren't anymore. But when we did that, what we found was that our supposedly "NEW" couch had been patched on the bottom and the original bottom layer of the couch has a massive hole! This patch is made out of the same material but was just poorly adhered over the hole to cover it up. The hole is about 12 inches across! Big enough that the bottom fabric should have been completely replaced but was decided to just try and cover it up and not tell us! I tried calling them but all they could say is I've owned the couch for a year and they won't do anything. They didn't even care or blink an eye nor show concern about my child! We had a warranty claim problem with Living Spaces and their bogus warranty company Ultra Shield before, we bought their warranty but when we tried to report damage they just told us it wasn't covered, meanwhile their fine print basically says nothing is covered. Even so we moved on, but this is absolutely ridiculous!!! Not only has Living Spaces sold us DAMAGED furniture as new without telling us but there is HAZORDUS material inside! Ryan and I just finished baby proofing that room but there is NOTHING we could have done to protect Jude from this. The sales clerk was pleasant but failed to mention that we had to add and pay for full service delivery so they delive people can bring my items in to the house but instead it was curb side drop off. Living spaces draws you in with low prices and quick delivery. The furniture is pretty much ' lipstick on a pig' , meaning good looking but Low quality . They'll even tell " our furniture will last you 2-3years. But you better Pray your order is correct and no damage or missing pieces/parts because your chances of getting it corrected are Slim to None!!!! I was excited to get get my sectional couch and dining table. The Stores (Phx & Scottsdale) do NOT have incoming phone lines. You CAN NOT call the store. I challenge you to try to find a number!! We did actually purchase something though. A dinning room table set in clearance. Everything about it was totally fine. Very good price for a table and 4 chairs. Don't Do It! Don't purchase anything online cause these Mama Jama's will tell to Call UPS when your package is missing. UPS will tell you to call them. You make a claim but UPS will only talk to them after the claim is made. IT goes on and on and still goes on. Customer Service just reads the screen. I know whats on the screen. I love your store, the staff on the floor were courteous and attentive. Exceptional experience. The delivery experience was good until the two man team started rushing. The legs to our nightstands were on the top of the package and when one gentleman decided he was going to move it indoors by himself, he did not move the legs from the top, they just fell off onto the asphalt street. If he would have just placed them on the truck or the second person, could have seen them to catch them before they fell. Even though the furniture was meant to look distressed, I do not think he though of that prior to lifting the nightstands with the furniture dolly. They drug the boxes across 80 feet of our floors instead of a two man team, lifting it off the floor to make a more professional approach. The last thing, after making the bed, they insisted on putting the box spring and mattress on the bed for a completely built bed which I thought was awesome. In doing so, they knocked over a fan into the new media stand, also distressed that put a quarter size ding in the cabinet. After it happened, he said "Oh Shit". I get it, I would have said the same. I acted as if I did not see it to see if they guys had integrity. They did not mention anything of it and I left it as it is. Integrity is everything in a representation of a company. Although this has nothing to do with your company, I am writing this as I am a business owner and this has nothing to do with me running your business. At the same time I ordered furniture from you, I ordered from American Furniture Warehouse. I have ordered from them about 3 times so far, all pleasant, enjoyable experiences. I had ordered an entertainment center that was not prebuilt, but in a box. As they started unpacking it, I noticed out of the corner of my eye that a shelf was cracked. One of the men, asked the other man to come check it out. After checking it out, they came to me and said that the top half was damaged, they needed another one in. They repeated that they were sorry 4 or 5 times for that, nothing they did, but still pointed it out and made mention of it. I had to furnish a new place recently. I am generally indecisive so the prospect of buying all new furniture was overwhelming. The staff at Living Spaces doesn't get commission so they're helpful and not pushy. I teamed up with one of their designers who looked at my floor plan and helped me pick out pieces that fit my needs, personality, and budget. She made the process so easy - 5 stars for her! The delivery is where they lose a star. I was given a 3-hour window for my delivery. The delivery guys arrived 45 minutes after the end of my 3-hour window and they delivered a box spring that had a 3-inch rip in the fabric so we had to schedule an exchange. Again I had a 3-hour window for the delivery (3pm-6pm) and they arrived at 5:55. The third delivery was my custom couch and they arrived well within the delivery window and delivered it with no problems.. read more

Once I purchased the item I went in back to pick it up and leave and was even told they were going to put a rush on it so I could get going. After driving to the back and backing my truck in, they attempted to give me a piece that wasn't fully wrapped. I later came to find out the feet on that sofa weren't properly installed either after the shipping employee and myself inspected the item. Bought a 64' TV stand from here and picked it up from this location because it is their central hub and was available same day. I got there and had absolutely no issues. Pick-up zone was well marked and they had a waiting area with water and couches while they grabbed the item(which only took about 10 minutes). The guy helping us load was very nice and carful with the box. I read a lot of reviews about the staff being rough with the furniture and rude(a lot about the delivery team) I didn't experience either of those while there. I also read that the furniture showed up broke and poorly packaged. I took the liberty of posting a few pictures to illustrate the care taken. The TV stand was on a pallet and wrapped and cushioned with foam. Not much else you can do to help protect it, unless you work for NASA..Took it out of the box and it was in great working condition. Of course if something breaks that was clearly manufacturing's fault and my drill can't fix it I'll update the post but I don't see that happening. It's real wood and sturdy. There were a lot of mixed reviews on here so I figured I would add my 2 cents, hope it helps. Last thoughts- The Majority of the reviews had complaints about when it was delivered. That's why I picked it up. If you have a SUV or a Truck I suggest you get it done yourself. If not make some friends with people with trucks, they come in handy. read more

Holy shit what a wretched experience. I wish I would have read reviews before pulling the trigger on a couch from here. Total nightmare. We searched ever chain furniture store in town to find a couch to fit a certain dimension in our living room. Settled on the LEFT facing version of the "Raines" sectional from Living Spaces. Purchase was pretty painless, however, PAY ATTENTION when the cashier goes through their return policy. They charge some sort of restocking fee, blah blah blah. This is the first of many glaring issues I have with Living Spaces, and if you read reviews all over the internet, you'll see why it's bullshit. The warehouse guy loads up our 2 sofa pieces and our flat packed bar stools into my truck. Even though both pieces looked to be the same length, I never bothered to check the sofa before he loaded; it's packed pretty good and he verified the part numbers. First mistake... Get it home, unload in 113° heat, wrestle it into the house. We unwrap the first long piece, and get it into place. We unwrap the second piece, and before I even cut the plastic, I notice it isn't taped the same way and already has the feet installed. Get it out of the packaging, and discover we're the lucky recipients of a mislabled, returned item. The second piece was the long part of the RIGHT facing "Raines" sofa. We didn't have a corner piece; put the two together and you'd have a 12ft long continuous sofa, not a corner sectional. Lovely. I inspect the wrapping a little more. On the outside is our part number, but then there's another label with someone else's name and sales order number crossed out in pen. I root around inside the plastic, and of course, I find the correct/old sticker with the part number for the RIGHT facing sofa. I jump on the phone. Turns out, you can NEVER call a Living Spaces store direct, only their call center. What the fucking fuck!?! First lady I talk to is clueless, and when I ask when they can redeliver the correct piece, she has the audacity to tell me that I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN IT MYSELF!?! Uhhhhh, why should I pick up the slack when the warehouse incorrectly labeled, restocked and loaded the wrong piece? I was totally livid. So for the next 2 days, it was constant phone tag. Asking for a supervisor gets you the canned response of "they're with another customer" and "they'll call you back." We did that a few times, no call back. Eventually, I demanded that they put a supervisor on the phone, and I would be holding until they did. That worked. Explained the problem to her, sent the pictures of the 12ft mega sofa through their incredibly archaic photo uploader, and she eventually did call back. Assured us the correct piece would be delivered that evening. It did show up, at 9:30pm on a Sunday night. This is the only reason they get 2 stars, because they corrected the issue fairly quick, and I felt so bad for their delivery guys. They told me that had 7 MORE STOPS after mine. Wow. Someone was likely to get their piece after midnight. Who the fuck is running this half-assed operation!?! Back to the return policy. Luckily, the wrong piece for me was the previously returned piece. I paid for a NEW sofa, not a sofa that has already taken a trip to someone else's house and stayed for who knows how long. If they are charging a restocking fee on $1000+ furniture, then turning around and selling as new, then they better prepare to make a deal. Totally unacceptable, and I advise you to inspect your item's packaging very closely to ensure it's not someone else's return, with someone else's funk on it. Read other reviews about this common problem, and don't accept delivery or leave will call without getting a discount. Moral of the story, expect problems, act aggressively to have them addressed and corrected, refuse to let them marginalize you, but most importantly, cross your fingers and home for the best. So last February I bought a couch for $1500. I was moving homes and they told me it would take 2-4 weeks to physically get the couch. No big deal. We weren't moving for a month. Well 9, no joke 9 weeks later we finally got the couch. Btw, every time I would call and see where my couch is they would put me on a direct line to a supervisor. The catch is you LITERALLY will not speak to a supervisor. They put you on a voicemail waiting call list. Personally I think this is cowardly. And it usually took 2-3 business days to finally reach me back. Well after sitting on my floor for over a month I got the couch. Well now it's a few months later and my dog chewed one of the cushions (not their fault). So I called to see how much it costs to either have it fixed or to just fork up the money and pay for a new one. I know it would prob cost an arm or a leg but beats spending another 2k in a couch. Well can you guess what they said?!?!? WE CANT HELP YOU. YOUR ONLY OPTION IS TO BUY A NEW COUCH. BTW they do have a repair service but only if you buy the extended warranty. Well I didn't buy the extended warranty so I told them to charge me double. And of course they said I can not be helped. THIS COMPANY SUCKS WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! BEWARE IF YOU SHOP HERE!! Wife and I decided to stop by and check this place out. Its another big box furniture store similar to American Furniture. Had a lot of different types of furniture throughout the store. But most were modern, not my style. We had a good time walking through the store. Kept us out of the heat. Workers were nice, place was very clean. And plenty of help. read more

Never order from here online, or from the store if an item is not in stock at the time. This company is terrible. Below is the note I sent Living Spaces: Ordering through your company has been the worst experience I have had in quite a long time. First you guys missed a confirmed delivery around father's day, not bothering to call us while we were waiting around the house. We had to call and were told that the item was on backorder and that you had no idea when it would arrive. Then, the week of 7/18 you finally stated called and stated that the item MIGHT be in stock the following week, we stated that we would be on vacation, but ok. On 7/26 we received a confirmation call that our item would be delivered on 7/27. Since we were out of town we chose option 2 to deny this. My wife then called and rescheduled the delivery for 7/30. On 7/27 we then received a text that the driver was on his way. We called immediately and were told over and over again that we would be charged a missed delivery fee (despite the fact that we never agreed to this delivery date). Finally after 30+ minutes on the phone we were able to convince your CSR to NOT charge us a fee and deliver the items on 7/30. (She stated someone would call us on 7/28 but they never did so we called and confirmed the delivery). On 7/30 the delivery men arrived and began putting together the piece. After a good period of time for assembly they notified me that the manufacturer had sent the wrong hardware. When I was put on with a CSR I was told they could deliver the new hardware by 6pm and midnight. Fed-up I just told them to take the bed back and give me my money back. Subsequently I was called by a CSR telling me they needed my credit card to process the return. When I called back I spent nearly 30 minutes on the phone trying to get my refund back to what you guys charged me, because there were delivery and restocking fees applied all over. The poor CSR couldn't find out how to get the total back to what you guys charged me. She has had to forward my case to finance because of the idiocy of your system. I am now awaiting a call back from you and am letting you know that, unless I hear back and have an adequate response to this message, that I will file a BBB report as your company has tried to scam me out of money on multiple occasions. I feel sorry for the people who work for you as they seem like nice people that have to deal with a system setup to scam people out of money. This is behavior that you expect out of a small bargain basement store, not a company like Living Spaces. read more

Could just be the WORST customer service I've seen from a furniture store. I've been calling for 2 weeks for follow-up on some pieces with their "designer." No one ever calls back. No one really cares. Pay them commission please...I bet their service will turn around. I also sent a complaint online through their website. Also no response.
