About two years ago, someone decided to subject my double-coated dog to so-called grooming at Living Springs as a gift without informing me and not involving my already established competent groomer. Orchestrated by groomer Naomie, the sessions were a complete disaster as my dog's coat was brutally butchered, stripping away the top layer and leaving only the white undercoat. It's disheartening to realize that, even after two years, the top coat has failed to regain its former glory due to the sheer incompetence performed by this groomer at Living Springs . The photos, left to right over a year later five months after two months before Of course, this clinic will pass accountability and recommend seeing a vet as if I have sat on this for years, have yet to test, and have yet to reach out to experts across this state. Despite subjecting the dog to a full blood panel, including a comprehensive thyroid examination every six months across three different clinics, the results came back normal and healthy, and the dog remains highly active. The only sign of any endocrine symptoms is exactly what Naomie physically did to this poor animal. Upon inspection of the dog, my groomer, who is highly competent and has expertise working with double-coated breeds, instantly raised serious questions about the drastic change and the physical disappearance of the top coat. My groomer questioned the tools Living Springs employed on the dog. My groomer said she would never engage in such aggressive grooming over two days as this clinic did. Stating the "lack of a substantial gap between sessions is not just a red flag; it's a glaring sign of negligence and incompetence." I couldn't agree more. . I welcome this clinic to showcase before and after pictures of their handiwork. It is truly disgraceful what Living Springs did. read more

Short version: Don't board your dog here. The owner is a crazy narcissist and has no problem neglecting dogs, then gaslighting owners into thinking it was the dog's fault they didn't get food or water. Long version: I really liked this place at first and was a recent converter around a month ago when they were able to fit my dog in for a same-day appointment for an injury when his regular vet could not see him for a week. I then decided to board him here for our vacation because the assumption is that people in the vet field are more knowledgeable about caring for animals and could recognize if something was off. Then I figured we could neuter our pup at the same time since it needed to be done anyway. All was well. We left him there for 8 days, got a followup call after his neuter went well, and called a couple of times over the course of the week to check in on him with no indication anything was wrong. They discharged him to my husband also with no indication anything was wrong but when he got home I immediately noticed he was very emaciated (all ribs visible and all bones in his face and head very clearly visible), dehydrated, and stressed. He also returned with half the food we sent him when we provided close to the exact amount he should've needed for 8 days. I sat on it overnight because I didn't want to say anything irrational, then I sent a very calmly worded feedback email to avoid posting a negative review online. My exact feedback email is below: Hi there! I found this email address because I wanted to be able to provide you guys with some feedback without leaving a negative review online, because our veterinary experiences there so far have been wonderful and we will continue to bring our dog there for his care. But.... We picked up Gus yesterday after he had been boarding for a little over a week (after a neuter and while we were out of town) and I am very concerned that we got him back smelling of urine, visibly stressed, and extremely emaciated (I can see the bones in his face and all his ribs). The smell is forgivable, and I can understand that he is an anxious dog but every time we called to check on him while we were on vacation, there was no indication anything was wrong. And the fact that he came back with more than half the food we sent him with when I was originally worried the amount would be cutting it close, indicates to me a possible misinterpretation of the feeding instructions we gave. He gets 1 cup twice a day but the scoop I provided was 1/2 cup, so maybe that was part of the problem too and I'll be sure to make clear notes on everything next time I board him somewhere. Gus will be okay. He is already looking better this morning after a couple of full meals with a little extra food. But I think there might be something lacking with the boarding process that could help prevent miscommunication in the future. And if he was really just being a basket case and not eating, I would've supported using mild sedatives and trying wet food and treats if anyone had let us know. If there's not a process for periodically checking on the well being of long-term boarders, that might be a good idea for the future too because a vet would've noticed how emaciated he got in such a short period of time. I was just really stressed and worried about him yesterday. ----------------------------- The next day my husband got a call from the owner basically accusing our dog of being "aggressive" and "violent" and that being the reason he could not get walks, food, or water. At first I felt really bad. I know my dog is a wild 6-month large breed puppy and can be hard to handle but have never heard those words thrown around about him before (we board him in Byers often because he was professionally trained there.) And vets and vet techs are trained specifically to deal with difficult dogs even if that was the case (I WAS A VET TECH FOR 10 YEARS before changing careers and never would've starved or neglected a dog because of their behavior. There are a million techniques to use with hard animals.) Like I said in the email also, I would've supported anti-anxiety meds or sedatives had I known anything was wrong. Overall, I just think it's pretty messed up that I left a calm, civil feedback email to try to avoid a conflict, and the owner's reply basically forced my husband to apologize for them starving our dog rather than the other way around. I HATE TOXIC GASLIGHTERS and have no problem dumping this place now. Avoid at all costs. read more

I took my dog to this place because his leg hurt and they urgently attended him the same day, they told us he didn't have anything wrong just a sore but supposedly he had an infection which they didn't know why he had it or where it came from. They charged us a lot and after taking my dog home we noticed that he seemed very sick. At first we thought it was because of the anesthesia or something but it's been 3 days and he's looking more and more sick every day. The day we took him he wasn't even that sick it was just his leg hurting, now he doesn't want to walk or even eat. read more

We are new to this practice and have now visited several times. The staff are pleasant and professional and take time to answer questions without rushing you. We are awaiting a specialty surgery for a pet and it's hard to get it scheduled but otherwise really good experiences. read more

Unless you want to pay for services rendered and then leave their office and get an additional bill a month later and SENT TO COLLECTIONS, I highly recommend you stay clear of this vet clinic. I had taken my dog there in March and had paid $408.55 for medication, a test and a culture to later receive an additional statement in the mail in April. When I called and spoke with Kim, she advised that the medication that was on the statement was in fact sent back as we never had to return to pick up the prescription. As for the other charges, she was supposed to investigate them and then contact me with further information. As I have never left their clinic not having paid for services rendered. I never heard back from Kim. Its been months since having contact with this clinic and I go home to find a collections letter in the mail for the additional charges ($307.24) they decided to bill me for. I have called and spoken with Kim who stated she "was listening to our previous phone call". Which by the way if phone calls are being recorded, it is federal law that the person on the phone must be advised the call is being recorded. Anyways, Kim went on to tell me that those additional charges were for other items found during testing. I paid $408.55 in total for medication, tests and the culture. Therefore, to my knowledge, I paid for the resources to run the test and culture. Just because additional items are found does not warrant the right to tack on additional charges after the fact. When I asked Kim if there was any attempt to call and advise of these additional charges she stated no. Her excuse was "you were told in office that the cost could increase." How is a company going to give a price, add additional charges and not notify the customer or call them back when requested and then send them to collections? I have never had such an experience with a vet clinic and will never recommend this clinic and will continue to warn any potential customers. read more

My daughter almost lost her cat last year. She had taken him to 3 expensive vets in Denver and they all wanted to do surgery and feeding tubes. He had been wasting away and would not eat. She ended up taking him to Living Springs and they found a parasite, put him on medication and he was back to normal within 2 weeks at a fraction of the cost. We had pre purchased a puppy package through one of the expensive vets in Denver without knowing about the vet here. He gets his vaccines and well visits there but for anything serious, we bring him here even though his care is paid for at the other vet. They are thorough, they take their time and they really care about your pets. I'm sad we didn't know about Living Springs first. They are the only ones that I will truly trust with my fur baby! read more

Every single time I have taken one of my pets here, I have waited a minimum of 30 minutes in the room before someone even comes in. Our last trip here was today. My wife brought my dog in (with our 9 month old baby) for one vaccination. She scheduled this appointment to be outside of the babies nap time since it should've been an in and out appointment. When someone finally came in, 40 minutes after our appointment time, they gave her a shot in 2 seconds and out the door. When my wife asked the desk what was up, it was a generic yeah sorry about that, just busy. If it were one or two times that this service was slow, I'd get it. It has been 100% of our visits there. Warning do not take a double coated dog to groom here. Naomi played like she was experienced in grooming. I even showed a picture of my dog's last grooming. A hour later Naomi called me unsure of what do. At some point she reached out to other techs and on-site veterinary together they decided to shave my dog with out my knowledge. Naomi called 3 1/2 hours later upon speaking she never mentioned cutting her down. Only that she had been trying to brush her the whole time. I told her she should have told me from beginning she was not experienced with this sort of breed. (from the beginning I specifically told her over and over not shave her because this breed tends to get shave shock) Upon arriving I still had to pay before I was able to get to my dog. Naomi came out completely shaken she tried to get me in a room to speak to me that my dog was very uneven. I told her to please just bring out my dog. My heart sank when she brought her out . She was never washed and blown out. She was just completely hacked up uneven dull scissor cut, shave burns around her girl parts and anal area and completely traumatized! I reached out later and was talked down and belittled by Jen the Vet. Worst experience ever! I do not recommend this place for grooming they are not experienced professional or even qualified. My male lap/pit mix had a rough start in life, and he has to be muzzled every time that he needs a procedure done at the vets because he does not trust anyone. This clinic goes out of their way to make my dogs appointment go as smooth as possible. The front desk is always nice, and the Vets always show me the estimate before they do any procedure on my pets. I live in Castle Rock and it is a hike each time to get to this vet clinci but I will happily make that drive every time. Thank you for being amazing. read more

this place used to be really good. They would make an appointment for my cat superfast and actually seem to care but last week we were dealing with my cat and they were treating her, but when she started having issues and bleeding a normally I called to make an emergency visit and they would refuse to get her in because they were busy while my cat was bleeding out. They did not care to give her a spot to come in to get this emergency surgery and the receptionists do not care about you. They just wanna make the appointment or they will deny you. There is no in between. They won't care if it's an emergency they will shoot you away if they don't have space the one in Strasburg is a lot better than this because they cared about my cat. They cared about getting that emergency surgery that day. I called them and they close at 1 o'clock. This place closes at six and they couldn't find me a place. I think this is ridiculous. We have had nothing but good experiences here with both our pets (Golden retrievers) and our livestock (Jersey cattle). We had them come out to do an exam and vaccinations on our calf and we brought the same calf in to be disbudded. Excellent communication and willingness to talk you through the process at each visit. ~Lied to ~Information Left out of Quote ~Way Under Quoted ~Way Over Charged I think it's my duty to inform anyone who has considered taking their pets to Jennifer's Living Springs Vet Clinic. I want to help prevent what happened to me, happening to someone else. My complaints are not about the vet care my pets received. If you want good vet care and you don't mind being lied to, way under quoted, way over charged and talked to like a child, then this is the vet for you. I use to take all my pets to Living Springs, years ago. I brought my dog in to have 6 cysts removed and I was quoted a reasonable price. The reasonable quote is why I agreed to have them perform the procedure. When I went to pick up my dog, they had removed more cysts than what I agreed to, without my permission and charged me $300 over the price I was quoted. I didn't take my pets back there for four years. Foolishly, I decided to give Living Springs another chance and have them perform dental cleanings on two of my elderly animals because they were offering 20% off these services. I got a quote from Jennifer. The quote was reasonable so she performed dental cleanings on my two pets. When I went to pick them up and pay, they charged me $400 over my quoted price! Jennifer failed to mention during my quote that the entire dental procedure and everything that's required to perform it, was not 20% off. Only four of the 28 items I was charged for, was 20% off. Needless to say, I will never bring my pets or business back to Jennifer and her vet. I hope that she's not able to continue to lie to people and rip them off. Now I understand why most of her previous employees left and started their own vet practice here in Bennett. On a positive note, the receptionist was very friendly. read more

We came in because our dog who is very old, developed bleeding from his mouth and we couldn't see where it was coming from. Our appointment was with Dr.Stroberg-whose profile on the website says he was previously retired but now works as a relief veterinarian. He came in and as we were discussing our dogs current issue I also informed him of his cardiac issues and his new cardiac medication and he told me "I'm way over his head and doesn't know those medications," I then began to explain the cardiac medications usages to Dr. Stroberg....he took 1 second and looked at my dogs teeth and said he needed a full dental cleaning with x-rays, I told him of my concerns of this because I have had multiple veterinarians tell me putting my dog under anesthesia is a high risk due to his cardiac history and age, and to do it only if absolutely necessary. Dr. Stroberg did not care about our concerns, did not address the original reason we were there, and made me feel uncomfortable. Instead of rinsing out my dogs mouth, or taking a couple minutes to show compassion to my dog, he went and got the owner to come assist us. The owner, Dr. Gochanour then came in. She was very compassionate and knew my dogs medications and knew the reasons of our concerns. She took the time to find the bleeding and went over options with us. She didn't try and push us to do anything. If it wasn't for Dr. Gochanour we would not come back, but she handled it very professional and we were confident the plan we developed with her. We would come back to see Dr. Gochanour for sure, we trust her and she treats us with respect and understands our concerns and most importantly, was compassionate to our dog. Ultimately Dr. Sroberg is unprofessional and lacks bedside manner-I don't think he should be working with people if he can't take a minute to listen to their concerns. read more

They do take care of your animals if you can get in there for an appointment. The owner is unbelievably unprofessional to her staff and customers. She also talks down to people myself included but I guess if you're desperate and every other place is booked, it's a place to go they will heal your animals. read more

I was impressed that she let me see them, no other vet has done this. She took the time to explain in detail everything she saw. I think they are trying to pay for their new facility - focus is on raking in the dough and not providing care to the animal or professional treatment of the pet owners time. I was scheduled a follow up appointment to check on status of UTI and liver/kidney issues with my senior dog. At that follow up appointment we never even saw the vet - she totally forgot about retesting liver/kidney function (so the 85 dollar med to help liver function we got at first appointment was just for show) She had double booked her time and never even came into the room where I was waiting with my pet at the second appointment. He tech gave urine sample to doc, doc read it and prescribed more antibiotic - no attention to us what so ever (still had a charge for "exam" on my bill) I had no opportunity to ask about the retesting for organ function, no time to inquire about a recent seizure. Felt ignored and rushed out. Staff unhelpful too. Sad they used to care - new fancy building puts pressure to pay bills, less caring about patients. read more

Living Springs is great. They take fantastic care of my horses and Dr. Gochanour has always been exceedingly patient, even when my horses were still half-wild and challenging to vaccinate or otherwise doctor. I will never forget her taking 20 minutes training to help get our particularly skittish Mustang mare vaccinated a few months after she was adopted. They've been great with my cats & my roommates dog as well. I have had several vets see them for their check-ins and everyone is fantastic. The prices are about average for the area, though their farm trip rate are cheaper than some of the neighboring vets travel rates. I also have to give a quick shout out to Joe & Mary - they are fantastic and always so friendly & helpful. read more

I've never gone to this vet but the online pharmacy I work for works closely with them on a regular basis. They truly care for their customers and go above and beyond to help them. They are also incredibly kind and are delightful to talk to. I know we bombard them with faxes and phone calls everyday but never have they been anything but professional and that isn't as common in the industry as you would think. Mary has a fantastic laugh and is absolutely hilarious. Good clinics are the ones who are kind and helpful even when the customer isn't looking and that perfectly describes Living Springs Veterinary Care. read more

I want to take this time to apologize to Jennifer, and apologize to Living Springs Vet Clinic. I was pretty hard on her, I guess in my defense I was a little scared and panic a little. She really has been a awesome vet over the years, she has taken great care of all my pets, and the one time I really knew she cared is when she was pregnant and was ready to have her baby anytime, she crawled up in my pickup to comfort my best friend Zac ,when we had to put him down.
