After the initial visit and the issues I had, Dr. Clark reached out to me personally and offered me an appointment with her to review my situation. I accepted her offer. During the appointment, we reviewed my case and she was able to offer suggestions that were more reasonable both in scope and price. I had also gotten second opinions from other providers during this time. But after comparing the different providers, it was obvious that Dr. Clark's office was the best fit for me. I really appreciated Dr. Clark's personal touch. I will be getting hearing aids in the near future and Platinum Hearing will be my provider.

There was no volume, they squealed and screeched in my ears. The people around me could hear the noise. The Audiologists told me to try the Phonak, and again the Audiologists could not adjust them and again they screeched and squealed in my ear. I bought several microphones as they told me they would help, still no calibration. Again, at their suggestion, I bought a Widex Allure. After weeks their Audiologists could not adjust them to my hearing needs. They led me on to believe if we kept trying, which took me out of the 30 day window. I finally decided I was being a fool. I kept doing the same thing over and over expecting a different answer. After thousand of dollars and way to much time I returned the Allures, in which, Platinum Hearing took a $500.00 return fee. They were the ones that couldn't calibrate them, as they never stopped screaming into my hears. I now have a pair called Signia. American Medical has them where I can actually hear better than I have in years and they don't make any screeching sounds. By the way, their Audiologist and owner only works 1.5 days a week and the second one 3 days a week. They were just not qualified to take care of my hearing needs.

I give my very highest recommendation to Todd with Great American Hearing Aid Company. The…read moreHearing aids I recently purchased from Great American Hearing Aid are my third pair. I bought a set from Costco about ten years ago and a set from Bose last year. The ones from Bose were over the counter and they amplified all sounds which helped in some ways and hurt in others. Very quickly the negative outweighed the positive and I didn't wear them. The Costco ones might have been good if the person who fitted them for me took half the time, half the effort and half as much attention as Todd did. These new hearing aids I just got are great but they are great because Todd took the time and effort to make them fit for me with my hearing loss and my ear canals. So far this new set has been perfect in every setting from watching TV AND being able to simultaneously hear and understand what my wife is saying to hearing little birds chirp at sunrise. I play in an amateur orchestra and I can better hear the instruments around me and hear the conductor. I am now part of conversation going out to dinner. Great American Hearing Aid Company is a family business and I feel like I am one of the family. If you think you have a hearing issue you owe it to yourself to go see Todd. You will not find a more caring or technically competent person to get fitted for hearing aids. For me, the entire experience was a good one and the outcome a great one. What I've learned is; you can buy hearing aids almost anywhere but to find a place and then a trained person to work with you to fit them to your needs and then assure, with included follow up appointments, that the hearing aids are working properly for your needs... that is found almost nowhere but it is at Great American Hearing Aid Company.

I met with Mr Todd Fasse, who turned out to be an extraordinary audiologist with highly professional skills. Todd walked me through a series of tests, then we ordered the appropriate hearing aids for my situation. Although they weren't cheap, but honestly, you get what you pay for in this case. Todd, who is an absolute pleasure to work with, took me through a series of thorough instruction and measurements to fine tune these aids for me. My whole world has changed dramatically, thanks to Todd. He is a true professional, with very thorough knowledge and wonderful personality to deal with. I have had follow up visits that allowed him to tweak the aids for improvement. In this world today, it was such a pleasure to be treated so professionally. Please.. do not waste your money on the cheap OTC hearing aids! The professional prescription hearing aids are a world of difference.

After many decades of drumming and taking every opportunity to see the awesome bands of my day, my…read moretinnitus became more than a minor daily annoyance. I knew I needed help with my tinnitus and hearing loss, but I didn't want to be one of those persons who spends a gob of money on hearing aids, then doesn't use them. And here's where Dr. Kelly Hanscom really helped me out. I sport a shaved head, so it's not like I have luscious locks to help hide hardware behind my ears, so I really wanted to go with jamming the whole shootin' match in my ear. Dr. Kelly advised me on the available options and clearly explained the pros and cons of the different styles of hearing aids. I used a set of loaner hearing aids until my ordered units came in. Dr. Kelly tuned the loaners (and then my person devices) so that I would receive greater amplification of the frequencies in which my hearing is deficient. But she didn't overdo it. This seems to be where a lot of new hearing aid users experience frustration. I've heard several people say, "I'd wear them, but they're too dang loud!" Dr. Kelly artfully managed the acuity and volume of my hearing aids over the course of three months. As she explained, if a new user gets too much volume at first, it can be "jarring." That's the perfect word. So, over the course of three months, Dr. Kelly eased me into the "power" of my new hearing aids, and she also spent plenty of time ensuring that the fit is perfect and that I understand how to maintain and care for my new devices. I love wearing my hearing aids. It's been four months. The tinnitus therapy is wonderful! In fact, my wife can tell by my mood at the end of the day if I have been wearing my hearing aids. Without the tinnitus therapy, she says I am noticeably more anxious by day's end. And don't forget to say 'hello' and be nice to Franchesca at the front desk. After just a few visits, she had my name down and she regularly offers me cookies when I visit. Don't struggle another day with your tinnitus and hearing deficiencies. It's not only affecting your quality of life, but it's also affecting the quality of life of your family, friends, loved ones, and co-workers.
