Although I usually order online, the few times I've gone in person, they were extraordinarily helpful (especially for someone like myself who when asked what flowers I want, can only respond with 'something that looks nice?'). I got my wedding bouquet here because the owner spoke at my grammes flower club. The arrangement was beautiful. A periwinkle and green rustic arrangement. They use many different foliage. I had great success with Liz Lee! I wanted a very specific arrangement at a very specific price delivered the same day at a specific time, and Liz Lee checked all the boxes. When I called at 11:00 a.m. they were busy with a customer, so I asked for their email address and sent an email with all the details, plus a few photos that showed what I was looking for. They called back within 10 minutes and confirmed everything. She stayed in my price range by using a variety of white flowers rather than all roses. They send me a photo of the arrangement and delivered it right on time. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you, Liz Lee! One photo shows what Liz Lee created in my price range ($50 including tax and delivery). The other two photos are ones that I emailed to them as examples of what I wanted. This flower shop buys it flowers from Jewel Osco. I went to buy flower this week and was told that Liz and Lee came in and bought $700.00 dollars worth of flowers for their Valentines arrangements. The manager at Jewel said they are trying to stop this as regular customers that buy flowers at Jewel are disappointed when there are no flowers left . How can a this flower shop sale arrangements as if they were higher quality then you can get at the grocery store, when they are getting the flowers from the grocery store. We hired Liz to create our Chuppa for our wedding earlier in April. It was absolutely magnificent!!! I had a great experience here yesterday. I ordered anniversary flowers for my wife. I called about 12:30pm and asked that they be delivered before 3:30pm that day in case my wife decided to leave early. They were very helpful, double checked all of my info before placing my order, and the flowers arrived about 1.5 hours later. (Tip: I ordered the Teleflora Enchanted Cottage, my wife loved them so much she left them at work for the next day.) I can't believe the ratings I am seeing. The flowers are very beautiful and very well arranged especially if you want something different. While they're good at normal classic arrangements, you'll see that they are good at the minimalistic Zen type of Asian arrangement also. She usually puts in a lot of flowers for the price too. Call in and buy flowers whenever possible instead of using the website (A Teleflora website). If you want more bang for your buck, go call the store or go to the store itself. Teleflora takes a good percentage of any flowers sold. If you buy out of the store, the quality will be much higher. I know because I used to work at Swanson's as a delivery driver. I love all these one star Yelpers who only post when they don't like something, not to actually contribute to the community. These people are a joke. read more

After reading the YELP reviews, I decided to give this local Lincolnshire flower studio a try. I drove over yesterday to pick out flowers (and look the place over) for my beautiful wife on our 42nd wedding anniversary. After doing so, and waiting over 10 minutes while they tried, 4 times, to finally checked me out, we agreed that I would pick up the flowers at 10:00am today 10/21... our anniversary date. I arrived today at 10:15... to utter confusion... my order was not ready, didn't seem to remember the pick up time, and the had to look thru the file to see my order, clearly marked for 10:00 am 10/21 pickup. Silence... until they finally said.. they would deliver it at no charge. Nice, but misses the TIME I wished to present to my wife as well as wastes my time driving to their business. I have been using The Flower Studio in Rolling Meadows, where my wife's office was located, for 15 years. Even thought they are much further away, and charge more for delivery, I will soon be back to them. Liz Lee's place seems somewhat detached from customer service... sort of a "ahhh.... yea... we'll get to it" philosophy. In this day and time, customer service will make or break your business. I wish them the best, but unless they improve significantly, they will not be getting any of my business in the future. The driver did deliver the flowers as promised. I was very pleased with my experience here. I don't know anything about flowers, and they easily could have taken advantage of me. I called yesterday because I needed flowers delivered to a family friend's house who was recently taken quite ill. I told them I wanted to spend $50, I wanted something unusual and that would last, and could they figure out the rest? This morning I woke up with a picture of the gorgeous and huge bouquet that was delivered in my inbox from the friend. She adored the pictures, and honestly, I don't know how anyone could have not. It was beautiful. The first time they tried to process my credit card, it didn't go through, so a gentleman called me to verify all the information and we found that somehow the expiration date was wrong. Then, they delivered the flowers, but no one was home, AND the number I had given them wasn't working. They wanted to call to make sure that the friend knew that they would be waiting at the front door. I was very pleased, they could have just given up and just left the flowers there and hoped it would all work out, but instead they took the time and trouble to make sure everything was done right. Sorry but Liz Lee doesn't even deserve one star... And like the poor girl in the last review, Liz Lee has now ruined my chances of ever receiving flowers again from my boyfriend. He ordered the True Romance bouquet for me today, especially for the red roses and SILVER colored vase. The arrangement I received looks nothing like it. I got red, pink & white roses in a glass vase with no baby's breath as shown in the photo on-line. In fact, the arrangement I got looks like her kid took the leftovers with some fern and plunked it in the vase. My boyfriend spent $100 on the upgraded True Romance arrangement and when we called about it the owner yelled at him in a manner in which he couldn't understand and hung up on him. When we called back, of course there was no answer. Too bad, the last time he ordered, the arrangement was beautiful. This time - garbage. We won't use Liz Lee again. read more

Liz was phenomenal to work with for my wedding. I had a tight budget, and she was more than happy to work with me to make my dreams come true. She was very professional, and followed up often to make sure my husband and I got everything we wanted for our special day. She arrived at the venue and set up all our centerpieces and flowers for the gift table and place card table. She checked in with me before she left the venue to make sure everything was as expected. Liz Lee Flowers was recommended to me. Since I wasn't from the area that's all I needed. The flowers were to be an extra surprise for my wife on the anniversary of the date I proposed. I picked out a beautiful bouquet and worked with someone at Liz Lee who was very helpful. The flowers were to be delivered to the Lincolnshire Marriott hotel so they would be in our room when we checked in. Unfortunately when the day came I ended up in the hospital. When I called to cancel, they had already made the flowers. Since we live out of town, it was too far for my wife to drive alone just to pick them up, plus she had to help take care of things at the hospital. Liz Lee Flowers graciously reversed the charges. I'm writing this review because I want to warn others of how rude this company is. My boyfriend sent me flowers for Valentine's Day to my work. They arrived a day early and I thought they were absolutely beautiful. I posted pictures to my Instagram and Snapchat and sent them to my boyfriend so he can see what a great job this company did. I noticed the flowers had droplets of water all over them but thought it was pretty and didn't read too much into it. Well the next day, (today) when I went back into work, I noticed A LOT of the flowers were completely wilted. I didn't want to tell my boyfriend because I didn't want him to feel bad. I noticed on the card, this company said to call within 48hrs if I wasn't completely satisfied. Well, I called...and wow....they were so rude. They told me they would send new flowers if I gave the wilted ones back. I said fine. Then they called me 6 more times...once to ask me to send pictures of the dead flowers to their email (which I did) then again to ask me if I took the flowers anywhere (no, I didn't) then again to tell me they were probably frozen and they didn't know what happened because their flowers are "always fresh", then again to ask me if I wanted a different arrangement (no, I want the flowers my boyfriend ordered for me). Whoever I spoke to the last time they called was so incredibly rude because I told her I was at work and had to stop taking all their calls. She got upset and ended up hanging up on me. The most embarrassing part was when they came to my work. I work in a doctor's office and was seeing patients when they stopped by. They told the receptionist that they needed my flowers before they would bring in the new flowers (so mortifying!) The receptionist tried to explain that I was seeing patients....the florist got upset and said to go get me because they couldn't wait all day. The receptionist came back to my treatment room and told me about this....I handed her my dead flowers and she brought them to the florist that was waiting at the front of the office. They took them and left. A few minutes later, they brought in the new flowers and left them at the front desk. I've never had an experience like this in my life. I usually don't complain, but so many of the flowers were dead in such a short amount of time. I'm sure my boyfriend paid a lot for them and I just didn't think it was right. Had this florist handled the situation differently, I wouldn't be writing this review. Added in response to below comment from the company: I was never told it was the specific roses that my boyfriend ordered that "wilt easily" as described in the response from this company. I was asked if I took them out of the building and was told they were probably frozen. What's interesting is the replacement flowers didn't die the next day...they lasted about 6 days. I understand that flowers die and things happen. What I don't understand is the rudeness I experienced. It is unacceptable and I have never experienced anything like it. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience with the owner of this store. I came in to ask for his help with a community project and he was very rude to me. As I started to explain the help we were seeking (which would not have cost the store anything in terms of time or money), he said, "Hurry up! I'm very busy!" and wouldn't even look at me. The other florists in the area I spoke with regarding this project were very nice and more than willing to help. Given that others have also complained on Yelp about the owners being rude, I suggest you take your business somewhere else. read more

Sent an arrangement that looked nothing like what was ordered online. Tiger Lilies began to fall off TWO hours after delivery. Very few actual flowers in display, mostly filler. Called to complain, woman barely spoke English and said new flowers would be delivered next business day. They never arrived. When called to inquire I was told the driver never dropped the vase. That's not what I said. I was told I didn't have my story straight. I was hung up on. Extremely unprofessional and a flower arrangement that looked like half dead flowers and filler leaves. i work right across the street and it was my friend's birthday she is also my boss so i thought it would be fun to get her flowers delivered so all of her clients knew it was her birthday i placed my order about 8:45am and was hoping to get it earlier in the day considering the business is within walking distance from here, i called at 1 to check on the status and they said they were just starting the arrangement understandable considering i placed it last minute but then i didn't get them until 2:45 over half our business day was over so she barely got to enjoy them, i was charged 8$ for delivery despite the fact we are across the street and the arrangement (which i ordered offline) although pretty was not as large, full, or pretty as the pictures depicted on the website. Additionally it cost $45 total which i feel was not justified for the product received it feels even worse when a couple of my co workers wanted to chip in $ if i could say it was from them also but when it got here they changed their mind! the card's message was right but was written sloppily. =/ read more

I ordered flowers from here for my friends birthday and all I asked was for them to be delivered to her work anytime EXCEPT between a one hour time frame while I was meeting her for lunch. The flowers were delivered as soon as she left for lunch which defeated the whole purpose of me sending them to her work. I may have well given her the flowers myself. I am writing on behalf of my 85 year old mother. She was sent an arrangement on the anniversary of my father's death, and within 2 days the flowers were brown and wilted. I called the florist, sent pictures, and was refused a replacement. My mom threw the flowers out one by one, and threw out the whole bunch on day 4. I called and spoke with the manager and got screamed at for about 10 minutes on the phone on how I ordered the wrong thing and that everything was my fault. They did send a replacement which I said I did not want because they will die in a week again. A week and a half before Valentines day I ordered flowers and chocolate to be delivered to my girlfriend at her office on February 12. There was no delivery on the 12th. On the 13th they called my girlfriend to deliver to her home. However, she lived to far away for them to deliver. On the 15th flowers were delivered but no chocolate. Worst customer service I have experienced with ANY business for quite some time. Order for flowers and box of candy was placed online. I never received a confirmation email after delivery (which reputable florists/businesses provide), so I emailed (no response) and then called to confirm delivery - they were confused, rude and chaotic. I had the order number ready for reference, but they insisted on name only - and then I could hear the man and woman trying to figure out if the order had been delivered. After confirming delivery with my friend, I realized the order was incomplete - candy wasn't included. Another phone call resulted in more confusion, rudeness and arguing with me - without checking the order details. I politely requested delivery of the candy or a refund. Again, I had the order number ready for reference, but the woman kept asking ME the price of the candy. Then she tried to tell me the flowers were "upgraded" to make up for the missing candy, which was a flat-out lie. The flowers my friend received were exactly what was shown/advertised online. The woman raised her voice and continued to talk in circles, wouldn't let me talk - so I had to firmly interrupt and tell her, again, the two choices - candy delivery or a refund. She said she would process a refund, then hung up on me. Yes, hung up on me. I realize mistakes are made, but never once did she (or the man) apologize and offer to make things right. The ensuing confusion and rudeness added to my frustration/disappointment. My experience with Liz Lee Flowers was so bad that I took to Yelp for the first time. If I can help others avoid experiencing this abomination of customer service, this review is time well spent. I wouldn't order from this place again if it were the only florist in town. read more

I'm not too sure if many of your realize how hard it is to own a small business, but I see plenty of that in one of the Galesburg, IL. Although you sacrifice service because of a lack of employees. You sometimes find quality. Liz Lee Flowers is about quality of the flowers. I have never seen flowers as beautiful as hers and I have bought flowers from several companies and even dabbled into a little flower arranging myself. If you guys are looking for special treatment then you shouldn't order it through a wire service company like Teleflora or FTD. The flower shop does not receive any information beyond what the wire services tell them. You should either walk in or call them, and the owner will be more than happy to add in extra flowers so you can get the most bang for your buck. If you haven't tried actually talking to the shop directly then you should definitely try once again. You just have to have a little patience on the phone and repeat yourself several times because the floral designer is foreign born. read more
