They have a few rows of fruits where you can shop and pick yourself. Sometimes they will also have pre selected boxes where you can't swap, just take as is. I do think it's better to pick your own fruit. We've gotten pre selected boxes before and haven't had great luck, with some fruit being old and on the verge of expiring. Good to know: they have a giant pokeball for decoration by the parking lot, which makes a good photo op for kids (and adults too).

They have well stocked fresh fruit and vegetable choices and a full selection of nuts, other unique snacks and juices as well as cold canned sodas. Although more expensive, you get what you pay for. They have different honey options and a lot of samples too in case you want to try before you buy. We always try new honey and end up purchasing a new flavor each time. They have different sizes so you can buy a small batch if you want to try something new or they also have small tubs if you use a lot of honey. My mom likes to buy the tubs and pour into smaller containers and gift it to her friends when she visits. Especially in colder months when everyone is making teas or just getting sick from flu season. They also have honey candy, candles, soaps, etc. so it's fun to browse around. This time I took the lavender honey and I've been adding it in my coffee and matcha at home. Gives it a subtle hint of lavender and sweetness from the honey. I don't usually enjoy lavender but I feel like the lavender is subtle and not so perfumy. Not something I would've gravitated too organically, but I had the sample in store and here I am. On my commute, I went a different route in the hopes that one of the farms in Somis would be open before 9AM, and thankfully, Patty's was. I stopped by and bought a full flat of strawberries for $44. Despite the berries being smaller than the ones from Las Posas Berries, they were equally sweet, and the staff kept stuffing the flat with more berries as I got my card to pay. Pick an open spot and park right there. Environment: After paying for admission, we got to explore the animal portion of the area. There were many different animals to see and you can also purchase food to feed them. There are also swings and slides in this area. Some areas will require extra tickets that you can purchase separately. We had a quick look around and then headed on over to the tractor-drawn wagon ride which took us over to the strawberry fields. It's a pick yourself experience and there are boxes and bags that you can grab to fill up (the best thing is that you can sample them while you pick). There are also various vegetables that you can pick as well. We wanted to check out some of the bok choy, but they were not available, boo. Once you're done, head back to the front Farm Market near the entrance and pay for your items. I will say that their strawberries are juicy and sweet! What was ordered: - Admission (Weekday: $8.00, Weekend & Holiday: $12.00) - Pick your own strawberries ($3.50/lb) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. This was a fun experience. We got to see some of the various farm animals and then we got to pick our strawberries. A fun experience with some yummy strawberries to sample and take home. Credit cards are accepted.
