Shrimp and grits, with crab and egg

Great food, unique ambience, an excellent experience. I hope she's back soon. Waiting for the new location.

Shrimp n Grits with some crab!

Went here on a Saturday - the wait was long, But worth the wait! The staff were amazing and so welcoming.

Tucked away little hidden gem! This southern flair small kitchen café is located inside the Harley Davidson showroom! It has many stools along the bar to eat, as well as two belly bar tables that fit about five at each table. They have a cozy fireplace as well!! it is so cool because you can walk around and shop or just look at all of the neat stuff in the Harley Davidson store! Their breakfast food is kind of unique it has your usual bacon and eggs and pancake pancakes, but the French toast with fried chicken is phenomenal! My friend got that so I did not grab a picture, I got the cheesy grits with shrimp, crab, and andouille sausage... it was outstanding! I can't believe the size of the shrimp, and the amount of fresh crab meat you get on top!! it also comes with two eggs either sunny side up or scrambled. It's definitely enough for two people! The ambience is really cool it's like you're in a little diner but it's wide open in the store! The flavor of my meal was really good I have a very picky stomach when it comes to anything that's greasy, and there was the usual tasty oils from the shrimp and sausage that flavors the dish that I had to avoid, but thats my problem! Lol! The service was so good, the gal that took our order and helped cook I believe, was a doll! Give them a try it won't disappoint!!

So this was quite an experience. In a good way. You would never expect to get good quality food in a Harley Davidson dealership. They have a couple televisions and I did see some outdoor seating but unsure if it's for the cafe. The menu is short and simple. They do take your order at your seat and pay in advance. The waitress was nice and very helpful. Now, the wait was a bit longer than expected. We waited a little over an hour but I also was understanding that they are a small business with just a few people working. The food was all made fresh. I personally didn't like the eggs but the pancakes were delicious. I prefer thicker cut bacon and maybe using plastic cups for the syrup instead of paper. By the way, syrup was delicious! The smoothie was good but a lot of lemon.

I love this place for the chicken and French toast and my buddy got shrimp and grits and I got a blended lemonade! So delicious and the service was amazing I loved everything about this place !

I ordered French toast and was given a side of grits! It was PHENOMENAL!

Located inside of Harley Davison's shop, service is 10/10. Food was phenomenal. I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I ordered from the secret menu and it did not disappoint! It was a breakfast fried rice. Has a kick to it and packed with flavor! I then wanted to try the French toast and was given a side of grits with crab and shrimp and OH MY GOSH my tastebuds were in heaven! I'm already planning on coming back! Highly recommend.

Feels like home cooked food. The best shrimp and grits, special menu, lemonade with home made cream and lemon custard for dessert.

What a hidden gem! Totally unexpected as we walked into a Harley Davidson dealership, but was were greeted by the sweetest woman. Ordered the burger and chicken/french toast and my oh my was it delicious! Delicious food, great service, and very reasonable prices. Love finding spots like this!

The Hangover

Hanging out in the Harley shop having brunch and while I generally do not order eggs in a restaurant (always runny) I did order the hang over. This is scrambled eggs, potatoes (not diced) sausage onions and toast. I love their eggs and I am a picky egg eater. These are so good. And of course I'm in the Harley store so the ambience is perfect. Hubby is shopping while I eat and chat with random people. This was an all around relaxing and pleasant experience. The service is good. The staff are social and quick to help with what you need. It is a cafe vibe so you order at the counter, but if you sit at the bar they will come check on you. Menu is digital and I was surprised when I payed. I only payed for the food, I wasn't asked for a tip which actually made me want to leave one.

Stop in for coffee and breakfast Sammy or grab a sando and soda after lunch. Either way, this is a perfect multipurpose spot. Parking isn't bad, but it's a paid lot. Like $3.50 an hour which isn't bad at all. Long story long, I stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and to get some homework done. I needed the free WiFi and I was not disappointed. The breakfast sandwiches are so good! Fresh cooked eggs and biscuits. The biscuits are so flaky and light and good!! The bottom is soft, but the tops have a crisp to them. I got the sausage egg and cheese. The egg was cooked perfectly, biscuit was superior to a lot of biscuits I've had in restaurants and the gochujang aioli on top was the perfect compliment!! It wasn't spicy, but still added so much flavor. I had a special soda made by Marisa with lime, mint, lychee and soda water. Very simple, but very satisfying and not overly sweet. The chairs are comfortable and there's ample seating. The booths have outlets at each table area which makes it super convenient for laptops and chargers. The crowd is mixed. Young and older people mill about. People were having meetings, chatting with friends and working just like me. It's not sketchy and felt totally safe. 10/10 recommend.

And apparently that closure took place about a month ago. It appears the owners have fully retired and it's something that they really needed to do. I am not sure what event or element came their way to make the decision to close but it was time. The reason why I say this is that I came here fairly frequently for lunch and realized the food became inconsistent in quality. I got a quesadilla once and I could taste mold on the tortilla. I t was a hint and I endured it but it was one of the last times I went back. The owner had health events and issues that made it hard to remember orders if you called over the phone so if you didn't want a particular ingredient or were allergic to something it may have been in there anyway due to that detail being forgotten. It became frustrating for the owner to correct these mistakes. While the health issues were unfolding and prior food items that were previously available like the Korean Pancakes for example became scarce while paying a visit there and eventually not made at all because it was too much work. Again I am not trying to be mean, rude or anything like that but just the observations and transactions I had with them I am recollecting for this update and that getting the time to relax and not stress out over orders can only be a good thing for Penny and her husband. I wish them all the best. Despite having issues with some meals here I had some good ones too and the students that would swing by here to purchase their lunch I'm sure will miss Lucky Penny.

Don't judge this place by the outside - the decor inside is adorable, with lots of unique and fun antique pieces. The staff is extremely attentive, kind, and even fun! We didn't expect it but there was a live pianist, and he was extremely talented (and funny). My BFF and I are a bit of tea snobs; we've been to tea rooms in both England, Kirland, and Seattle; this one by far has been our favorite. I really can't say enough great things about this place. Incredible roasts, great pourover, friendly staff, what's not to love?…read more Most recent visit to Outer Dark I got my first anaerobic pourover: the pink bourbon, very sweet and vivid. It was a very nice smooth cup, an excellent introduction to anaerobics, which I'd never tried before. I also got a couple different bags to take home. The In Bloom, which is the spring seasonal, impressed me by its consistency across multiple years, which is not always achievable in a seasonal. The subtle effervescent quality, the jasmine and honeysuckle, are just what I remember from last year. But the real reason I am writing this review is the Vivanco anaerobic, which I am drinking right now. I've done it as a v60 pourover (4:6, coffee nerds, with emphasis on the first two pours) and I think this is the best cup I've ever had. First, the aroma is *so cocoa nib adjacent* that if you blindfolded me I could have been convinced I was making brewing cocoa. And the first sip *tastes like* brewing cocoa, but then intense juicy cherry and orange zest come out, and then as it cools further I get the warm baked-good brownie notes. This coffee just goes *so well with itself*. Do yourself a favor and pick up a bag. Before I buy it all.
