Right next door is the DMV, and I had to get my tabs renewed. How convenient, a curious-looking lunch spot right next door... several well-dressed professionals walking in and out getting lunch to go... Stopped in and I'm so glad I did!! As others said, a very nice salad bar (more than one lettuce/spinach option) with toppings galore and best of all: a few delicious looking pasta salads. Now look, I love me some cold pasta salad. Maybe it's because my mom has made a mean pasta salad in her day, but in the summer I even crave it sometimes. I included a picture of the green salad on the bottom (chicken, almonds, raisins, Italian dressing). However: wish they would've had cranberries, and more choices for cheese! On the top are the pasta salads: pesto and Italian. The Italian was waaay too buttery and I couldn't finish it, but the pesto was perfect; not too much sauce. The ladies working were fast, efficient and friendly. As a convenient, healthier option in Fife, it's too bad Deli USA isn't in my neighborhood.

We had not been here for some time so we decided to give them another try. Some local reviews seem to give a good rating to a restaurant because it is "cheap" - apparently one of their primary criteria. Well this place will be Nirvana. Even the bathroom has dim lighting. All the ingredients appear to be of very low quality (meat, vegetables, etc.) The service is marginal - when I ordered my Roast Beef sandwich - I asked if the meat is rare - to be informed no - all the meat is cooked - apparently lack of knowledge of meat ratings. (I will say the meat was actually medium rare). While service was efficient - it is robotic - feeling they could care less if you came in or come back. My wife had the BBQ sandwich - and she tried a few bites and quit. The BBQ sauce is not enjoyable and the meat is extremely rubbery. [Same complaint she had last time - a few years ago] I did have my Roast Beef sandwich - with all the trimmings and it was not great but I did finish it. Bread was bland, roast beef marginally OK, tomatoes bland. It did look good as the photo shows but the quality of the product needs significant improvement.

I digress. The dirty chai was unique though and tasty. The stars for us was the food! We got the huevos rancheros and the savory egg sandwich. Both were delicious! Best HR we've ever had probably due to the crema and red sauce. Egg sandwich had unique flavors with the onion jam and the toasted roll was so perfect with the egg and arugula. Very well balanced. I usually never eat all the bread bc not worth the carbs but couldn't resist finishing this masterpiece. All the pastries were very good too! Just needed an option to warm up the orange cardamom morning bun to make it warm and crispy but the flavors were amazing. Also loved the brown butter blueberry muffin. Only disappointment was the ube ginger muffin wasnt fully cooked - tasted great for the parts that were. Wish we had one near us on east coast!

I HAD to order the French onion soup (practically a mandatory order for me whenever I see it on a menu). Le Sel Bistro definitely met my expectations because it was rich and flavorful with plenty of cheesy, savory goodness. Mmmm! Definitely had me satisfied along with my entrée. I ordered the Pork Belly Benedict, and it was absolutely delicious. I love me a good pork belly and this was a unique twist on the classic Eggs Benedict that I had to try, adding a savory flavor that complemented the dish perfectly. Everything was cooked well and beautifully presented. My friend ordered the (classic? Daily special?) French toast and completely demolished his plate before I had even finished mine! It looked incredible, and by how quickly it disappeared, we agreed it tasted pretty good (I had a small bite). The ambience and décor are exquisite, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that's perfect for a leisurely brunch. We dined indoors, enjoyed a great conversation over our meal, and never felt rushed. The customer service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. While the prices are a bit high if you're comparing it to a typical breakfast spot, they're exactly what I'd expect from a bistro. I'd recommend budgeting at least $25+ per person if you're ordering a meal. Between the quality of the food, the inviting atmosphere, and the excellent service, I felt it was well worth the price. I would totally recommend this as a fancy breakfast location and would return to try more of the menu.

Honestly, I was a little overwhelmed at first because there are multiple menus and so many choices. I ended up keeping it simple and ordered a spicy Hawaiian pizza. It was good -- I wasn't a huge fan of the barbecue sauce as the base, but I did like that it actually had some heat. The jalapeños still had the seeds, which gave it a nice kick. I also grabbed a strawberry cupcake, which was delicious and a really good size for only $3. I didn't even get a photo because I scarfed it down immediately -- no regrets. We were the only people in the dining room for lunch the entire time until our last 10 mins. This restaurant is inside a casino in Fife. Parking is interesting, and the casino itself is in the middle of a reno so it looks a bit messy but otherwise it is fine. Kudos to them for trying to make the outside section nice because the view kind of kills it. Pros - it's a very nicely designed space. The hostess and our waitress were so nice and welcoming, even giving me a stool for my bag (and it wasn't even my fanciest bag lol!) Overall, the restaurant is nice, the food seems to be mostly fresh and good quality and service was nice. I actually quite enjoyed my ribeye, despite our broccolinni having no almonds, as stated on the menu. My affogato was good, and the cake frosting and flavors were good. Cons - I say these with love...but we both feel the kitchen was not up to par, or the main chef was off, or something happened because there were quite a few mishaps during our visit. The appetizers were good, but the scallops needed salt and I would not pair them with pineapple, personally. The calamari weren't the most tender, and the breading was interesting - it's definitely not your typical breading, it suited a fish and chips dish better. The sweet and spicy sauce served with it is from trader Joe's...I know because I've bought it before, so I don't believe it's house made. Like I previously stated, the broccolinni was missing the almonds, and the carrots on the side that I ordered for $13 were so embarrassing that the waitress came back after serving us and told us that she spoke to the manager and got those off our bill. That's how ridiculous they were, so thank you to her for having good values at work. While I liked my steak, it was very, very fatty, and my husband asked for medium rare and definitely got medium well. Lastly, the pink champagne cake was disappointing, not because it was yucky, but because the cake itself was clearly days old, and had been freshly frosted. It was tough, dry and stale, while the frosting was fresh and light. Overall, I can see coming back but I'm in no rush due to the price/location/overall food.
