Overall, this spot was just okay. The coffee lacked flavor--it tasted like they were using pretty mid beans. The steak was overcooked, and the menu said it came with chimichurri, but what showed up was more like a mystery brown sauce (maybe gravy?). Definitely not what I was expecting. My boyfriend got the banh mi and said it was just okay too--nothing super flavorful and felt overpriced for what you get (a simple sandwich with chips). The ambiance is actually pretty since it's inside a nursery, which is a cool concept. But because of that, it can be confusing for my cousin to find at first. I really loved this cafe, I think it was my favorite cafe food. The inside is so cute, it's inside a greenhouse in the very back. It's a little humid but that's perfect on colder days, a little hot on hotter days though. It's a sit in coffee shop. If your order is for here then you grab a menu and take a seat, if it's to go then you order upfront. They have a good selection of unique things like a flatbread, sandwiches, huge salads. They have a big selection of syrups for their coffee. The servers are very kind and attentive. I asked to be surprised with a funky latte flavor and the barista made me a tuxedo latte (dark and white chocolate). You pay the check after food at the table like a restaurant. The flatbread was delicious, we took off the blu cheese. It's sweet and pairs really well with a salad, however it's not very good as leftovers, but in the moment it's delicious. The salads are huge and probably the best bang for your buck, this was the best Caesar salad I have ever had with some garlic in it, 10/10. It's a nice brunch date area since you can go explore the cute (however, very expensive) greenhouse that they have. Some negatives are that, since it's in a greenhouse, there are bugs, Not flies since we went during winter time but there are ants that sometimes make their way on the table. We moved spots away from the wall and there weren't any ants there. The gps does not lead you to the correct spot, I've had this happen the 3 times that I went there. It tells you to pull into a driveway, keep going until you actually see "Terrace Entry". I would also love to see a list of the coffee syrups that they have, it's hard to come up with something off the top of your head if you don't have a go to. And it's awkward to have the server/barista recite every single syrup. It would be nice to see a list so you could go off that. read more

What a wonderful surprise this hole-in-the-wall was! In a past life I travelled the world on expense account and have eaten in many of the better restaurants out there and this little cafe is punching way above its class. We were strolling the nursery and felt peckish so we checked out what I thought was an overly ambitious menu but we ordered the spinach salad and the potato leek soup along with the house lager and hard apple cider. Every item, without exception, was delicious! The lager and the cider were tasty and unique each in their own way, the fresh salad was filled with surprising and flavorful tidbits throughout (jicama even!) and the soup was subtle and sublime. The house made vanilla ice cream was as good as I expected it would be. Overall, a great little meal in a fine and surprising venue! read more

Entering the amazing place that is Watson's, I was led to coffee bar with my friend. We were greeted and after a moment to put away something our hostess seated us and gave us menus. The next lady gave us waters and got our drink orders. It was still fairly early for their cafe, but our food orders were chosen and taken after some favorites were given by our waitress and food didn't take too long to appear. We got one appetizer, 2 sandwiches, and seasonal soup. Oh and mimosas! Lovely little cafe in the back corner of the business. A friend and I decided to grab a little snack and coffee while looking at all the beautiful new festive displays. We were seated and brought water and menu. Was a bit surprised at the prices. I ordered a large latte and the last slice of eggnog loaf I spied at the counter. I really wanted a scone but they only had apple, not my fav. and there weren't any muffins. My friend had the apple pear crisp. My latte came out warm, not hot so I asked to microwave it but was told no microwave? So he remade another one which was nice and hot. Not any stand out coffee flavor but was fine. The eggnog loaf was sadly plain and dry but I didn't say anything, but did leave half behind. When asked about it at the counter while paying I did tell him nicely my thoughts on it. He said he would pass it on and appreciated my honesty. My friend loved her crisp. They must make them to order as it took a while to get. Service was pleasant. We visited this hidden gem on a whim. We had no idea what to expect and boy were we surprised. The service was a little slow in the beginning but justified. The friendliness by all the staff made the wait worth it. Additionally, the atmosphere was so inviting. As for the food...having been to top tier restaurants in Washington, Oregon, California, New York, etc, we were all blown away. Granted, to be fair, seeing the price tag for the limited menu was a shock at first and we were slightly apprehensive the food would be worth the cost. Fortunately, the price, the wait was all worth it. We couldn't believe the quality of the food and the taste profiles. The fact this little gem is in the middle of Puyallup, a nursery of all places, is quite incredible. We spoke with the server to get some background on this venue and it seems the quality and/or consistency wasn't always this good. This is too bad because the current star rating they have today is not indicative of what they produce. It's way off. That said, I hope more people review so their average rating improves. This is the cafe inside of the Watson's Nursery in Puyallup. We admittedly got there close to closing but there was still about an hour left and we felt pretty rushed and as if we were inconveniencing everyone. We weren't given really any table service until we asked - no menus, not a lot of attention at the table in general and the impression or pressure the whole time that we should speed up. Then we were billed separately - coffees had been gotten at the counter awhile also saying we would order food - they brought two bills, which we didn't realize at first, and they seemed a bit put out when we hadn't paid the coffee bill yet - we didn't even realize they were split like that. Just ate Lunch with a friend. We order chicken sandwhich, grilled cheese and the.potato leek soup. Soup was delicious but we both noticed pieces of crab in the soup. Grilled cheese was very greasy. After 30 minutes I became nauseous and have been vomiting. My friend was burping and experiencing Naseau as well. There was no indication on the menu or by the waitress that there was crab in the potatoe soup. This could be a life and death issue for someone with a shell fish allergy. What happened to this place? I was there just a few months ago but this menu is out of joint. Got a steak sandwich with blue cheese. They poured the chimmi churri sauce ON TOP of the bun, so you had to lick your fingers in between bites to taste the sauce. Weird. This is one of the best places to get lunch in Puyallup. I've been in a handful of times and have been pleased with everything I've ordered. I tried the steak and gnocchi with a blackberry chimichurri and it was fantastic. Other great things to order are the beet salad and the short ribs. Arrived at 3:25 and was told bruskly that we had 5 minutes to order. There were only 2 people in the restaurant and we were seated directly next to them instead of one of the many open tables. A few minutes later another 2 people came in and they were seated next to us on the other side. This made our conversing impossible as we were so close to the other patrons that their conversations overwhelmed ours. All the tables were open but we were seated against the wall in the open small table area. There was no thought about customer comfort or enjoyment. We ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks (sandwiches were just that... no garnish or presentation at all... just a sandwich on the plate.) Bread was beyond stale and falling apart. Bill for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks came to $58. Totally overpriced for service and food. read more

The first time I ate here I had the Quiche and was very disappointed. it was the weirdest quiche I've ever had. It was like a stack of fried eggs placed in a crust. Today I had a bowl of Vegetable and Wheat soup and it tasted very herbal almost medicinal instead of a nice tasty broth. I'm willing to pay more if the food is good but the high prices here don't justify the quality of the food. I loved the cafe that was here before. They had the best Quiches and Rueben sandwiches and salads and desserts. read more

Service was not the nicest, the gal making the coffee fixed our drinks and was nice however. For a $7 cup of coffee, it's not great. Adding flavor for $.80 and you can't taste it. Wouldn't recommend. Watsons ambiance is nice, however you don't get much of it in the cafe. Edit - they do not have decaf coffee, and milk substitution options are limited. A mocha can only be made from 2% milk which I was able to confirm is chocolate milk that comes from a container of Darigold. It then becomes absurd to charge $7 for a 12OZ cup of "coffee" that is coming from a container of pre mixed chocolate milk. The only thing I will say is that their coffee beans had a pleasant flavor which is a plus I suppose since you can't taste the "flavor" you pay to have put in. I think higher quality and for drinks to be made better and taste like what you're flavoring them would be nice for what they're charging. read more
