I went to LKS to see a used Ford F150 they advertised online. I drove down from Tracy because the ad showed a truck that fit what I was looking for pretty exact. When I reached out online Kevin responded right away and we set up a next day test drive of the vehicle. When I arrived Kevin greeted me, her was very polite, he showed me to the truck answered any questions, retrieved the keys and left me with the vehicle to inspect it at my leisure. After a short inspection I asked him if I could test drive the vehicle and he took a copy of my license and let me take the truck. During the test drive I did a hard acceleration and noticed a sputter with some significant power loss and the check engine light flashed on- it was a misfire. I drove back and let Kevin know what happened and that unfortunately I wasn't interested. He was very apologetic and asked me to wait before leaving and hooked up his scanner to see what was wrong and it was a misfire. He changed it the spark plug from the misfiring cylinder and we went on another test drive and the issue was gone. I liked the truck and the scanner didn't show any other problems so I decided to buy it. Kevin informed me that if the problem came back even though he was selling me a used car as is he would fix it or he would take the car back which from a smaller dealership I've NEVER heard before. We finalize the deal do the paper work and I drive off. During my two and a half hour drive back it happened again so I texted Kevin and let him know, long story short hex was polite and professional and honored his promise. I got the truck home and within the next few days I decided to use my scan tool to see what the issue was and it showed a misfire in the number two and four cylinders so I changed the spark plugs in all of them which I usually do anytime I buy a used vehicle anyway and all codes cleared the truck has been running great now for about a month. I called Kevin to let him know and he was happy it worked it and offered to pay for the repair which I declined. Kevin is a stand up guy, and if I find itself in need of another used car I'll gladly do business with him again. Here's one thing people need to consider though when buying a used car, especially from a small dealer. These vehicles are used they're not certified pre-owned they're usually inspected to make sure they're legal to be put on the road and minor repairs are done. You're delaying with a small business that's trying to make money and most of them aren't going to spend extra money to make sure every major repair is completed because their customer base cannot afford or do not have the credit worthiness to buy those types of vehicles. I could've gone to a certified dealer but I found this specific truck and honestly I expected more issues than what I've had so far. Bottom line I usually don't trust used car dealers but Kevin showed here would make things right during and after the sale. I can't recommend him enough! read more

LKS Auto Sales had an older Toyota that caught my eye but was priced on the higher end. After a brief discussion with Kevin -- no haggling -- we agreed on a fair price. A longer test drive sealed the deal. Overall, the experience was drama free and several months after the purchase I'm very happy with the car. LKS has quality vehicles on the lot and most have CarFax reports. But as with anything used and without warranties, there's always a risk. Do your research (some cars/models have known reliability issues), budget for repairs that might become necessary, and you'll probably save thousands compared to new. I just bought a 2000 Corvette from Kevin and it was by far the easiest car purchase I've done so far. They replaced the two front tires at no charge due to the low tread without me even asking, on top of that after I left the key fobs stopped working and they emailed me a check to pay for a replacement as an apology. We did most of the deal over the phone as I live 3 hours away from the dealership and upon arriving we were in and out in less than 30 minutes. But most of all, he wasn't being pushy or trying to sell a vehicle like most dealerships out there. He was straight forward and answered all the questions I needed and provided any information necessary. Before driving to Fresno from LA, I had asked Kevin if he could take the vehicle to a Toyota certified dealership to have it inspected. He wasn't hesitant at all and agreed. He also mentioned that I asked the dealership to email me the info, that way he wouldn't know any of that information. I had no intention of doing that, but it just shows that he has nothing to hide. Kevin has a great way of connecting with his customers. I bought a 2009 Ford Edge with 92,000 miles which came with problems 2hrs after driving it off the lot. Unfortunately I didn't pay for the 3day cooling off period contract which costs $400 but Kevin provided good customer service and worked out a deal with me. Kevin was kind enough to check out the car at my house the following day and towed it to the mechanic. Kevin gave me different options one being paying half of the mechanic bill ($250) or paying $400 to back date the cancellation contract. I got my money back minus the $400 for the 3 day cancellation contract. This was an odd situation but I am pleased with the outcome and will return again. Kevin was kind enough and said he will lower the price of any other car next time I decide to purchase one at his dealership. I would recommend LKS Auto Sales unfortunately I lost $400 but buying a used car is always a risk. read more
