Went there today and was done very quickly. They found several small lights that were burned out and changed them for me. I also appreciated them informing me of my serpentine belt. I pulled in at random because they were close by. Small but busy place, clearly popular! I asked for an oil change and they homed in on my van's needs immediately. Without my asking, my windows got cleaned during the wait, they checked various aspects like my headlights and blinkers, corrected my tire pressure. Of course they recommended a new air filter, to which I agreed because it had been long overdue. They also made a recommendation about my diff fluid, to which I also agreed to a service right away. I had one headlight bulb out but was pretty sure I could change it myself. Not only did they not push it, they recommended alternatives if I turned out to have issues. That day, $95 for full synthetic on a 2019 GMC Savana if it helps. At least for me, that's great value for the whole visit. read more

I found Oil Guys on Yelp for an oil change near me in Sunnyside and liked that they had mostly positive reviews. My experience was a little different, and underwhelming. The line to the stalls turns directly from the street so there were cars backed up to main street with incoming traffic. With cars coming up fast i maneuvered in to a 2-car parking area only to be told when I was in the office that I had to wait in line but since I hadn't, they would pull my car in when they were ready. The waiting area was straight out of a Tim Burton movie, Beetlejuice comes to mind. After 4 or 5 other cars that came after me were serviced I went out into the bays and asked them if they were still doing mine. I think they just plain forgot about me. 40 minutes later they started my oil change. I had the air cabin filter replaced as well ($$$) and when I drove off my A/C was now incredibly loud as if something was stuck inside and flapping around. I was late for another appointment so I came back the next day and was told pretty matter-of-factly that it's the same filter they use on every car and suggested it was probably my A/C. I replied that it had been functioning perfectly they replaced the filter and was told there was nothing they could do about. I had the sense they were trying hard to not entertain the thought that it may have had something to do with the filter installation. They pulled it out to show me that it was new and then reinserted it. They said to get my A/C checked because there was nothing else they could do. The verdict: Expensive, long wait time, lacking in basic customer service, and argumentative. read more

For my first time getting my oil changed, I had a decent experience. They were friendly and honest about what needed to be fixed/replaced. The total for the oil change, replacing my air and cabin filters, replacing my license plate bulbs, and replacing my windshield wipers came out to $170. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because 1). The wait time was 2 hours, and 2). I specifically requested Mobil 1 synthetic oil (they said they could do that and I agreed to pay extra) but they gave me Quaker State oil instead (listed on the receipt). Thankfully, they didn't charge the extra amount. Even though I made my preferences clear during my visit, they didn't follow through. I'd visit them again for future oil changes, but I'd definitely double-check which oil they are using to service my car. read more

First time here, I first read the reviews and really liked what I saw that's why I chose them over others. Customer service was fast and friendly. They did all I needed to keep my daughters car from ending up on the side of the road. I had an oil change, replaced oil filter and cabin filter, fuel ejection system cleaned with added gasoline fuel tank cleaner, tires rotated and they even made sure all of your lights and turn signals were working. They even told me they found a nail in one of my tires and told me the closest place to fix it. I highly recommend this business. read more

I trusted this place and have used this business many times in the past. But, since their business started to pick up, they started to cut corners. They no longer provide computer generated invoices. They tried to offer you services you don't need. They don't show you the invoice. They just tell you how much it costs and you just pay for it, believing they are trustworthy individuals. Today, I learned the hard way. I had my car serviced there. The cost based on what's written on the invoice was $150, but they charged me $168. When I called to speak to the owner, he did not even offer an apology. He stated they forgot to write down a part that costed $9. He had no explanation for the other $9 they overcharged me. Took in for an oil change. I only been there two times and on the second time, one of the worker told me. I should take my car in to Honda and have them check if there was a gasket valve leak. Other than taking my vehicles to the dealership for routine maintenance and check ups, I don't usually use corner shop stores for oil changes. However, due to the age and mileage of my vehicle, I started to look elsewhere. I recently stumbled onto the Oil Guys located near Kings Canyon and Chestnut Ave in Southeast Fresno. The first time I went here, was back in October of 2019. It was a random weekend where I just stopped by and got in line to get an oil change. You park your car outside their small parking lot (if you can find a spot), and you wait until someone comes to you. I was amazed that they came out to ask me what type of service that I needed. After letting a technician know what I needed, he directed me to go inside their office waiting room. After about 30 minutes, the same technician came back with a list of items that they've checked (things like lights, signal lights, wiper blades, belts, coolant levels, etc). I paid and left. This past week, I took my vehicle there again for the second time. Due to Covid-19 guidelines, the Oil Guys have you stay in your car for the whole duration of the oil change. The day that I went they were not busy. As soon as I drove up, they immediately told me to drive into one of their repair bays. Immediately, after you drive into their repair bay, someone signals you to stop at a particular point. At one time, one of the workers asked me to see if I had a mask, and asked me to put it on even though I was in my car. I complied. Today, I was able to see what really goes on when they are checking your car. There were two technicians checking on my car. They asked me to turn on my vehicle and turn on my signal lights, head lights, brake lights etc. As one person is checking, he's calling out to another person with regards to the condition of each item that he's checking. While they are doing that, another technician underneath the repair bay drains your car's oil from below. After they were done, a supervisor comes over to do a final check to make sure that all caps are properly put back on. They bring you the oil dipstick to let you know that the oil's at the proper level. At the end of the inspection, you pay them either with cash or card. As I drove out of the repair bay, one of the technicians tells you how to reset your vehicle's oil change indicator in your car's front driver's dash area. After seeing what goes on when they are inspecting your vehicle and also changing the oil, I am very impressed of their level of service. I will certainly return to the Oil Guys. Needed an oil change and it was high time I got one. I went on Yelp on a Saturday to find a high rated business, close by and not too pricey. That's when I came across Oil Guys on Kings Canyon. I took my car for a wash, then headed to oil guys. I was there for about 15 minutes (car wash took longer) to get an oil change and to have my anti freeze capped off. I was in and out no problem whatsoever. The prices were average. What I truly appreciated and loved was that we got to stay in the car while my car was being serviced. The paperwork was touch free, paying was touch free. We had rolled down the car windows while being serviced and when we rolled them back up they even cleaned our windows because they noticed that there were water spots because we had just washed the car. I really don't like leaving this type of reviews but thought it may help others looking for an oil change. I'm now to Fresno and my husband needed an oil change so, I found Oil Guys on Yelp and looked pretty good. Well, we drive 12 miles to find this location and took about 25 minutes but that's fine as we don't know Fresno very well yet. Once we arrived, the mechanic I talked to earlier about the oil change looks at my husband's car and says, "well I don't know if we have the right oil or the filter for this car." I was dumbfounded as it a Mini Cooper and not some exotic car. I further asked him why had he not asked me what kind of car when I called about the oil change and he simply tells me that he's busy. So, I asked him to check and he stated that he can check in about 30 minutes as there were other cars ahead of us. I was not asking him to do the oil change but just check to see if he had the needed supplies. Well, needless to say he asked us to wait 30 minutes and at this point, I'd wasted a total of about an hour so I didn't want to waste another 30 minutes, just to be told that they didn't have the things needed to do the oil change so we left. I don't know how this place has as many stars. I may have gotten the one mechanic who didn't understand customer service. I do not recommend this shop. lied and cheated the shop. They broke my oil pan thread hole after the oil changed, and the oil was leaking for over a night. I went back to ask them to fix it. They said they would order the tool, but it might take about two weeks. I went back after two weeks, and they said they were not servicing or fixing any damaged items in their shop. And it's not just that; just recently, I took my other vehicle for noise brake checking. They said the inspection fee for a brake check is $30, but if I do the new brake, then they won't charge the inspection fee. Then I decided to put a new brake on the back wheel. They charge more than $400. I didn't realize that they included the inspection fee in there until I got home and checked my receipt. I don't recommend anyone go use their service unless there is no other place for oil service in Fresno. read more

I have been using these guys for awhile for my oil changes and they've always checked all the filters and told me what they thought I should consider changing on the spot or on my next visit. They're all super friendly and very professional, no doubt that they know their stuff when it comes to oil changes. However, they also offer brake services. I told the mechanic that my car would make this grinding sound everytime I would brake so they charged me $20-$25 for a brake inspection just to tell me that they were good and that I didn't have to worry. The grinding sound kept getting worse so I went and got a second opinion and was told that my brake pads were down to the metal literally within days of taking it to the oil guys. So, this place is great when it comes to fast, friendly service and oil changes. But, if you need a brake inspection, I'd recommend taking your vehicle to a place that specializes in that department. read more
