Eros responded promptly and gave us an approximate estimate right away and it was EXTREMELY fair. All of the other collision repair shops I reached out to had estimates that were $2000 more than the one Eros provided. At first, we thought it was too good to be true, but we looked at his other customer's reviews/photos and everyone mentioned how fair his prices were, how honest he was, and what a great job he did. We called Eros to let him know we'd like to bring our car in for an in-person inspection so that we could get a firm price on the repairs. We're on a budget so we knew if the price had gone up too much more, we were just going to sell the car and find a newer model used car down the road. Eros ended up finding more issues with the car, but instead of tacking on more costs, he gave us a DISCOUNT on the quote he gave us through Yelp! Unfortunately, I recently experienced what I believe to be fraudulent and potentially illegal practices. In July, I was charged in advance for a part that was never delivered. I was told it would arrive in three days, but after multiple follow-ups, my calls were ignored and I was treated dismissively when I reached out. Despite already having charged my card, no part was ever received. More recently, Roadhaus requested $935 via Zelle for repairs they claimed to have performed on my vehicle. When AAA towed my car back, it was clear no repairs had been made--every warning light remained on, and the same issues persisted. I also have texts showing confirmation of payment and repair claims that were never fulfilled. AAA staff even reported seeing concerning activity ("smoking" my car) while it was in Roadhaus's possession, which raises additional red flags. When questioned, the shop rushed payment, citing that they "owed people money." No itemized invoice was ever provided, and despite paying in full, no legitimate work was performed. I have since filed a fraudulent charge dispute with my bank to recover these funds. This company and its representative present themselves with kindness, but in my experience, this has been a tactic to disarm and take advantage of customers. Based on my interactions and the documentation I hold, I strongly caution others to beware of this business. I am prepared to provide copies of texts, bank records, and AAA statements to support my claims. Please let me know how best to proceed in formally escalating this matter.
