I came in looking for a quote to fix the lower chrome trim on my front bumper as I lost a piece during a minor fender bender. I also asked to replace the entire trim as a whole with a blackout part. Instead of just charging me a high price for their own profit, Michelle came out and explained with much detail on how I can do the job myself for much cheaper then they would charge. Aside from this, she also gave me many more suggestions on how I can further blackout my car and make it look nicer. I will be following her wisdom! I appreciate the honesty and helpfulness, even if it meant they wouldn't be making a sale. Stop by Montclair Autobody just to get an estimate on my car. My wonderful wife decided to make a right hand turn to soon before clearing the garage, which left major white scuff marks along the passenger side of the car. Montclair autobody took the car inside the shop and quickly was able to buff out all the paint from back to front! If I can give a place 0 stars I would. This place is the worst. Waited over a year to get my Jeep back. And to top it off the Jeep has issues and I'm trying to contact them and won't answer to file a claim and has a check engine light and missing parts. I am extremely disappointed the number they have does not work. And I live about 1 hour away and work so I can't make it on time. My car was perfect before I brought it to this shop. My car was picked up March 20th. It was evaluated and came back with it'll be ready In ten days! Very little correspondence in the 10 days. I called several times to get a progress report. No response!! 30 days later. Still calling and I might get a call and BS as to why my car wasn't finished!! Long story short!! They had my 6 months!! I could a did a ground up on the car In months!! Got the car back. Charged me for tires 160.00 and I never got the hub cap for the front. Till this day won't return my calls. Never every go to this place!! It's been a nightmare!! First and for most, I am fairly reasonable when it comes to time-frame as long as I am notified professionally. I brought my car in at Montclair Auto Body at July 6, 2021. They told me they are going to work repair/replace the suspension, clean driver & front passenger seats, fix/readjust the front bumper. Now, it's August 13, 2021 and I am still waiting for them to get my vehicle back. I am a full-time nursing student and I work on weekends; essentially,  I need my car everyday to get to school and work. I don't think they realize the importance or severity of my strong need of transportation or even genuinely care about anyone's (at least mine)  circumstances. I spoke to a gentleman a week ago, estimating that the vehicle will be ready by today (Friday), August 13, 2021. I called them today to check-in, praying and hoping that my car will finally be fixed.... surprise surprise.... my vehicle is still sitting in their premises. They informed me, when I made the phone call, that they are still waiting for the part and it will take 2-3 days for repair after receiving the part(s). So, I have to wait 1 to 1.5 weeks???  This is just ridiculous! I understand the Covid-19 excuse (frankly, that excuse is already used up), but give me the decency to notify me ahead of time so I am not keeping my hopes up. Had they sent me a courtesy e-mail, text, or phone call earlier this week, I wouldn't be terribly upset and disappointed. Do they not realize the cost of renting a vehicle for almost 2 months? The professionalism in this business is just lacking- slow and poor communication. To paint you a better picture,  I brought my car in the beginning of my summer semester and, now, summer semester is over, I am still waiting for my vehicle. I will not recommend this place if you worry about time sensitivity and proactive communication. read more

Okay so as far as the body shop they were amazing to me ! Michelle was such great help! I had dealt with my insurance company lagging in responding to the body shop to begin the process but after them finally getting a hold of them they ended up finishing my car. It looks amazing ! The receptionist never knows what to say when we call to check the status of our car. She gives us the most vague description. Then when we talk to John he gives us a whole different story from the previous story. UNRELIABLE. DO NOT come here if it's the first place available with your insurance, browse around. My rear door and window had been taken apart by the dealer, so it was in pieces. I had already received various estimates including someone who said they wouldn't fix it. The manager, Frank, was very professional and informative. He looked at the parts and explained what he thought was wrong. He then gave me a referral to repair the window instead of him charging me a fee for him to install it, so I could get it for cheaper.
