He also leveled out the floor because there were low spots that had water pooling up. The repairs that had been done before were less than desireable and now that the holes are all filled in and we have nice flat surfaces to store food on our storage is much more effective. We had previously discussed with Aaron about having one of his Water Walls installed on out patio so we could have a newere updated look but as spring came at us and everything started to thaw out our basement at Nacho Mama's started leaking water everywhere due to being right across the street from the river and having an older natural stone foundation. As soon as Aaron came in for lunch we started to discuss our concerns about having the water problems in the basement and he replied very simply, "I can fix that". So we went downstairs and right away he started to notice all the pinhole leaks that were in even the stairs going down. He just listened as I walked him around showing him where all the major spots were that we were accumulating water. After I showed him the spots that I thought were the major contributors he took another walk around with me showing me even more holes that I had not even noticed. He really has an eye for detail and notices even the smallest things. I was quite surprised in this, most contractors that we have dealt with just wanted to to the bare minimum so they could get to their next job it seems. We told him that if it was at all possible we wanted to hold off on having the water feature installed so that we could get the basement fixed and he told us that whatever was the most convenient for us is what he would do. He gave us an estimate about an hour and half later and it came in about 1000 dollars lower than another estimate we got. He encouraged us to get estimates so that we felt comfortable and new he was giving us a fair price. I called him after I got the estimate and asked when he thought he would be able to get out to start the work and conveniently enough he just had a delay on another job so he could start the next day! He spent the entire week working in the basement and gave us a heads up that with the way the foundation was there was no possible way to eliminate every pin hole leak due to all the storage and machinery we have down there but he would try to get everything that he possibly could. I saw him bringing down bag after bag of cement and as we got near to the end of the week he completely transformed out basement. While I was hoping for at least 50% less water he cut down I would say 90% which is HUGE since we will always have some water coming due to the river. He assured us that if we need anything as far as repairs or even small additions to fix other areas that he was just a phone call away and he would take care of us. We absolutely LOVE having Aaron around because he seems to do everything and what we have had him do has been perfect! We will deffinately be using him for all our needs here at the restaurant and at

I had an old patio that was failing and needed to be removed and replaced. The team not only installed a beautiful new patio, but also helped solve underlying issues by regrading the area and assisting with a drain solution to improve water management. They took the time to do the job right instead of simply covering up existing problems. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Every question was answered promptly, scheduling was quick, pricing was very fair, and they kept me informed every step of the way. What impressed me most was their efficiency--they completed the entire project ahead of schedule and finished everything in a single day without sacrificing quality. The craftsmanship is outstanding. The paver work is clean, precise, and completely transformed my backyard. When they were finished, the job site was spotless. No mess, no debris, no headaches--just an incredible finished product. If you're looking for a landscaping or hardscaping company in the Vadnais Heights area that delivers exceptional quality, honest pricing, great communication, and truly cares about customer satisfaction, I highly recommend Happy Gardens Landscape. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for future projects.

Don't make the mistake we did by selecting Homestead for a construction project. We worked with…read morethem for a four-season addition and it was nothing but issues, delays and excuses. I will list out the major issues but know that the list is much more extensive: 1. Project timeline: We were told it would be done by Thanksgiving 2022. It was not finished until February 2023. Delays were largely in part due to their lack of planning: ordered the wrong size windows which set it back 4 weeks; multiple times where they didnt schedule subcontractors, either at all or in the wrong order. 2. Quality of work: large gaps and crooked drywall (see pictures), LVT flooring installed incorrectly (and with gaps in subfloor) that already needs to be replaced, dents in the wall that were never fixed (see picture). I had to have the city re-inspect the posts because Homestead didn't bolt down 2 of them, creating a significant safety risk. Then they took 6 weeks to fix even with a correction notice from the city. 3. Payments: 3 people called both my husband and I the same day they sent the 2nd invoice. And for the final payment, they harassed us again while we were in the middle of the stonework and flooring installation. They argued that it was "substantially complete" when I had a list of 10 items still to be completed. The best part was in March when we received a certified letter in the mail that there was a lien on our property because Homestead didn't pay a subcontractor (over 1 month after we made our final payment). Again, excuses from Homestead, trying to cover up the fact that they didn't pay the bill until after the lien was processed. 4. Communication: From the Project Manager to the Owners, there are significant issues with delays in response, and making excuses. I could go on but the main takeaway is: Do not use Homestead Remodeling!

They stalled, made excuses, and changed employees for 10 months. Once pushed, they FINALLY obtained a permit and we began demolition ourselves. They waited until demo was complete and then sent an email saying "Due to unfortunate circumstances, we are no longer in business." Our backyard is destroyed and we intend to prosecute. I highly recommend everyone stay away from TCR. TL;DR several roofing installation mistakes made,…read moresevere lack of communication from TCR throughout the entire process, and I was asked to write a review before work even began - red flag. After getting roof replacement quotes from 5 different companies, I decided to go with the second to cheapest option - which was Twin City Roofing. And of course, I got what I paid for. The problems began after I signed the quote and handed over the deposit check. I live next to a day care and young children play outside all of the time. Paul, the project manager that was working with me, suggested they perform all of the work on the 4th of July week since kids likely wouldn't be at the day care then. I arranged with my neighbor to not have kids there that week. A few weeks go by and I didn't hear from Paul or anyone else at TCR. The Friday before the 4th of July week, I reached out to Paul to find out when they would be coming and he said "Next week I believe". Then on Monday when no one arrived, I reached out to Paul again. He responded by saying he was on vacation and that Robert P. in the production office could help. I reached out to Robert and he said "I can tell you it won't be this week." Obviously I was unhappy that the roof wasn't going to be replaced that week but I was more upset with the lack of communication throughout the process. It should not be on the client to have to contact the company multiple times to try to get answers. Nonetheless, when the roofers came to replace the roof on my house, garage and shed, they came unannounced. The concerning issues came from work on the roofs. The shingles on the ridge of my shed transitioned from shingles that are meant to be put on ridges to what look like starter shingles. It is very obvious this is not correct. And on my garage, there is a full 15" of a starter shingle that is literally just hanging from the edge of my roof. How did this get missed?? And the biggest issue is with the flat roofs on my house. I asked all of the appropriate questions to Paul from the outset to make sure that there would be grading on the flat roofs such that all of the water would flow to the spout and drain. Alas, a few days after the work was complete, we got our first rain storm and I saw water pooling along the edges of the flat roof and heavy pooling in one corner. I contacted TCR on July 14th and sent pictures of all of these issues. I didn't get a response so I sent a second email on 7/20. I finally got a response from Tyler and he asked me when would be a good time the following day for him to check out my issues. I responded with a time in the morning. I then didn't hear back from him and he did not show up the next day. I was later contacted by Robert and he said he was working on a game plan on getting my issues addressed. Five days later (7/26), he sent another email saying he would have a game plan the following day and he would let me know. As you can imagine, I did not hear from him on 7/27. I emailed Robert again on 7/28 with no response. Finally on 8/9, Tyler came out to my house to take pictures of my concerns. He agreed that all of them need to be addressed. He said he would let me know soon what the next steps would be. I have not heard from him since. I emailed Robert on 8/16 telling him Tyler came out to my house and that I was looking for more information when the fixes can occur. I have not heard from TCR since - at all. I should have known from the get go something was off because after I gave Paul the deposit check, he asked me to write a good review of his efforts to boost the company. I was certainly not going to write a review for services that had not yet begun. If you do go with TCR, make sure to pay as little as possible up front so they have to come back and fix issues before they get their full payment.

The crews showed up without warning three times, which is dangerous and disruptive for my tenants. They attached my gutters to rotten wood that was supposed to be replaced and left the gutter guards with space so debris can get in. I have never felt so helpless and trapped in a contract with a company that does not communicate about what is to come, what has happened, and what will be. I am not certain or confident that the work has been finished and finished well. They really broke my trust. The stress, anger, and fear that I have felt for the past six months cold never be worth the price.
