After the repairs were completed, I inspected the truck and immediately concluded that the work was unacceptable. I informed the repair facility that I could not accept the truck in its condition because, in my opinion, the moving box had sustained more damage as a result of the repair process than it had from the original accident. To obtain an independent assessment, I retained another body shop with extensive experience in commercial truck body repairs. After a thorough inspection, that shop prepared an estimate exceeding $30,000 to correct the defective workmanship and repair the additional damage resulting from the prior repair attempt. The fact that the corrective repair estimate exceeds $30,000--substantially more than the original repair estimate--demonstrates the extent of the deficiencies in the work performed and raises serious concerns regarding the quality of the repairs completed by Oliver Doyle's body shop.
