My second floor patio was leaking water, and it caused damage to the ceiling and walls of the garage beneath the patio. I had to waterproof the patio first so it could survive any rain, and now I need someone to fix the ceiling and wall. You can see from the photos of how bad it looked before. Leor came very quickly when I was looking for who was available. He gave a price quote that turned out to be quite reasonable. He worked on the project for two weeks. And I can tell he took the project very seriously: he showed me all the steps he took to strengthen the various components, and he explained to me why he wanted to choose those routes. With his years' experience he was also very knowledgeable about many other things for the house, and he showed me other issues that my house could use some help, even though they were not part of this current job. He was just knowledgeable and friendly. When the project finished, the wall and the ceiling are fixed quite well: I think the structural enhancements are strong enough, and they look just normal after the fix, as the new photos are showing. After rescheduling the job several times, Leor came to do the job. I took him through the particulars. As we were discussing the work, he abruptly punched holes in a temporary patch we had over a light switch and then almost doubled his bid. Then, he was arguing with me as to whether I knew how to re-hang a light switch to be level with the wall. After discussing with my wife and telling him politely that we didn't want to pay that much more for the work, he stormed out of the house clearly angry. I'm sure he's competent at his work, however, he's aggressive and pushy. Leor asked for a picture, gave me a fair estimate, came over ASAP and fixed it right up within 2.5 hours of my original call. And he was super friendly to my toddler who was going gonzo, and my wife. We had a pipe burst in our wall leading to floor to ceiling holes on two floors. We live in a townhome and as such, damage was also done to our neighbors, leading to holes on two floors of their home as well. I called three handymen, Leor called me back immediately and gave me a quote over the phone (based on pictures sent). One other handyman called me back, but when I left messages asking if he could start soon, I never heard from him again. and a third contractor never bothered to call...Obviously, we wanted to get this handled as quickly as possible, and Leor made that happen for us. I talked to him Thursday, he came out to give us a final quote on Friday and his guys started work on Saturday. Mike came and checked on the status of the work each day. They were fast and friendly and did very good work. I wouldn't think twice about using them again. I just got off the phone with Leor and he quoted me THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS for drywall repair!!! Are you kiddling me?! DOCTORS, Lawyers, and Engineers don't make this much every 3-4 days which is what he thought the job would take. I have the bottom 12 inches of my bathroom that need to be replaced due to water damage and the same with laundry room... and that is worth 3,000? I had General Contractors reject my job because it was too small a job to do (IE they need to make a minimum 2,000 and this job was less than that, 1,000 to 1,500), but this guy wants to charge 3,000? what has this world come to? students are in debt 250,000 saving lives and doing brain surgery, but this guy wants to make more than them. Leor fixed some holes behind our flat screen TV. The drywall thickness wasn't a standard size- but Leor was able match it and complete the job. He also installed a proper box to hide the cables behind the TV. We also had a patch under the bar sink to repair the drywall damage from the plumbers. It was a tight space to work, and several pipes coming out of the wall- but he was able to replace with drywall and seal it up. Both areas look great. I was so surprised by the excellent, attentive, personal service that we received from Leor that it made me aware of how used to poor service I am from the vast majority of businesses. We have been doing a lot of work on our house recently, and I have been amazed at how often these businesses do not return calls for days, if at all - how they do not appear particularly motivated to get more business. I find myself practically begging people to come do a job for me. With this recent experience, I am still in shock with the extraordinary service I received from Leor. When I called and asked if he would be able to remove an attic access door, he immediately asked me to take a photo of the door and text it to him while we were still connected on the phone. While we were talking, he looked at the picture, asked some questions, and right then and there was able to tell me what the job would entail and how much it would cost. I have become so accustomed to being told that the workman will come out to offer the estimate, knowing that once he is here I am likely to have him do the work, that I was shocked that Leor was actually letting me decide over the phone whether to go ahead or just end the conversation there. He offered to come the next day and called and texted to let me know when he was close to the house. He was right on time. I asked him to look at some shelves we have that are bordered by an old-fashioned molding that I wanted to have removed - he told me that removing the molding would look bad because of the way it had been attached to the shelves. What? A workman having the integrity to refuse a job because he could not guarantee excellent results? Unbelievable. Although I intended to only have him remove the door, I had such a good feeling about Leor that I also had him drywall the remaining opening. And, he saw some small dents in the wall where the couch had taken out some of the plaster and offered to patch the wall just as a favor. I purchased a flipped home, which was flipped as fast and as cheap as possible. A few weeks after the purchase I already had buckling drywall which I naturally assumed was due to workmanship issues.
