I went in for a brow lamination and tint plus a lash tint. I was never asked what shape or tint color I would like. The tint does not match my hair or skin tone and the shape is not what I would have picked. The lash tint is jet black and left stains around my eyes - I look like a punk rocker raccoon. I never received post care instructions so when I went home I scrubbed my face to get as much of the tint off as possible. I know from getting laminations before that you cannot get them wet same day so this treatment was useless and a HUGE waste of my money. On top of not getting to advise on my service, during the service I was not treated with care. I was left in the room for random amounts of time on several occasions. I had my Apple Watch so I would see if the salon would come back to check on me when they said but the times were always extended which is probably why the tints are so much darker then expected. I cannot stress this enough - do not go here.

My hair was in major repair of color correction....My hair was over processed, severely damaged, and was continually breaking for about three weeks. We all know, anyone can cut/style hair, "good or bad", every hairdresser knows how to apply color, however, finding a great "color specialist" is hard to come by, especially when dealing with color correction. The energy of the salon and of the staff is amazing...professional, attentive, and extremely caring in the services they provide. What was very impressive to me is how they collaborated with each other (throwing ideas off of each other) to determine the best approach to "repairing" my hair.....Paula, my stylist, was a "true" artist and accomplished her mission, to say the least. The color correction Paula accomplished superseded my expectations. Whether you need color correction, a stylish haircut, advise on "wanting a change in style" this salon has it all. This salon is as good as it gets for my curly hair. I recently thought I was going to move out of state, but I would have come back to Luzia to get my hair cut. Honestly, she gives me the best cut I have ever had. I have very fine curly hair that used to go bezerk with the slightest hint of humidity. She cuts my hair so precisely, and with such a wonderful shape that I no longer worry about the weather. I have no weird layers (which often occur when stylists do not know what to do with curly hair), and it grows out wonderfully. My hair grows slowly, and she just tips the ends when she cuts it. Also, I am allergic to PPD in hair dye, lanolin and ammonium persulfate. Luzia researched extensively and found a hair dye, highlight product, conditioners, shampoo and styling products which are free of all of my irritants. I have never had a salon be so thorough. I trust her immensely! read more

My first time at LM Studios--it was friendly and welcoming. I was lucky to have Luzia to make my curly hair come alive again! I just read other YELP reviews and EVERYONE gives Luzia 5 star ratings and they all say what I wanted to say in this review! She's exceptionally good at sharing tips for maintaining low-maintenance curls and really took time to show me what to do and how to do it. I hate fussing with my hair (don't even blow-dry it) and Luzia's cut is just perfect for my style. Also had a DYNAMITE hair wash with a scalp massage that was aaaahhhhhh. read more

I came here to correct a bad cut. Luzia trained with Christo, who used to cut my hair and was wonderful but unfortunately passed away. Luzia was wonderful and listened to what I want and did an amazing job giving me what I want. She was also extremely nice and down to earth and easy to talk to. I will definitely go back. Was it really worth it Salon Etre to lose a 10 yr customer over a policy and a 50% charge for a wash and blow out you did not deliver? I would have given some grace and made an exception for a 10 yr customer who had never canceled in the past, waived the fee, and used the salon's slush fund to cover the stylist. You would have had me for another 20 yrs!

Almost immediately, I was talked into getting this $30 split end treatment, which was 'supposed to' last for three months. SCAM. It lasted maybe two washing? While the hairdresser did provide some good tips while cutting and drying my hair it definitely was not worth what I paid for as I was not expecting to be hit with a $90 charge. The whole point of me going to this salon was the expectation to be charged the Academy fee, which is what I saw online which was like $30. And the only reason I wanted to go to the Academy was because all I wanted was a trim because my hair is long and I just needed a little off the ends. It didn't even needed to be washed. So I walked out of there the $90 haircut plus the $30 split end treatment totaling $120 + tip! All this and I could've waited to go to my regular hairdresser‍
