Maleina was so incredibly helpful when I went in to get something for my kiddos. They loved their drinks and I would definitely come back!

They have great coffee and decent breakfast sandwiches but the service is horrible. They are not friendly and act as though you are invisible. It's as if they think they're "too cool" which is really odd! The Avon location is NOT like this, maybe they need more supervision in Vail! The service is also really slow. Step up he customer service and it would be a five. But waiting 20 min for a sando with one person in front of you is ridiculous. read more

Great spot, great location. Convenient for people who are taking the bus. Great sandwiches, and açaí bowls. Would definitely recommend.

So, it's not coolest place in Vail, however, if you are looking for a great cup of coffee or a yummy homemade sandwich that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg, then you should stop here. It's on Bridge street, right after you come through the covered bridge on your right, down stairs, just across from the river. Just look for the sign. There are two picnic tables outside to enjoy your coffee, pastry, or lunch that face the river. Or you can eat in a dimly lit, tiny, kind of grimy looking little coffee shop. Come on, it's Vail COLORADO! You will want to be outside! : ) Our visit was during the day, but they do serve alcohol and shots and it looks like it turns into a bar in the evening, so we'll have it check it out next time. read more

Thank goodness for the well-placed sign (and Yelp photos, of course) or I would have walked right past the entrance to this coffee shop/café/bar coming through the bridge from the parking garage. The location could only be more convenient if it wasn't about a dozen stairs down. No matter, the coffee is supreme and the breakfast fare hits the spot before dashing to the lift. I thoroughly enjoyed my #2 *get your head out of the gutter!* (eggs, bacon, and swiss) that I chose to have served on a tortilla, and my husband had no complaints about his #1 (eggs, ham, and cheddar) on a croissant except that the ham was cold. Warmed ham would have rendered it a perfect start to the day. On our first visit, the ginger apple juice came highly recommended by the nice woman at the cash register, so despite a somewhat elevated price tag, my husband opted to try it. Absolutely delicious. It's quite possible that elevation + fatigue plays all kinds of tricks with taste buds, but I really enjoyed my sip of this juice. I'm sorry to say we didn't come back to check out the après scene here - although I do really love that it's a café by morning and a bar by afternoon/night. There's not a lot of room to sit, so I would imagine to take advantage of their drink specials, you'd need to stash your gear quick-like and snag a seat pronto. read more

What an awful, disorganized, mess of a coffee shop. Their website shows that they are open until 2am. The first night I walked by at 7pm and they were closed. So, I called the second night, the recording states open until 2am and then the manager answered and said that they close at 8pm and haven't been open until 2am for 3 1/2 years. I walked in at 6:20p that same night I called and the girl behind the counter starts motioning a cut throat movement and yells "we are closed." I simply said that I had just called 20 minutes ago and was told you were open until 8pm. She (very nastily) said, well, we are short staffed and closed. Some of her wiseguy, hippy friends were sitting at the bar laughing and had wiseass comments. Horrible, very unprofessional, discussing excuse for a Vail business. Should be run out of town. I am shocked that the owner is so desperate for help that this nasty girl would be the only option to represent your name. Wake up owner! read more

I feel like the general Vail experience is just expensive, expensive, expensive, so I was super pleased to find that Loaded Joe's was reasonable! Yay for a decently priced breakfast/coffee spot in the village. They are hiding on the lower level of some shops just passed the covered bridge. Chances are Starbucks is jam packed, so do yourself a favor and venture a little further if you're needing your morning coffee and light breakfast. I had a egg and cheese breakfast croissant and it was ready in just a few minutes, which was nice because I was starving! I also really liked their coffees. All in all - two thumbs up for being cute, cozy, yummy and affordable. Will be back! read more

Food is fine but service is terrible. Asked for a large cup for my water because I was thirsty and they have 6oz cups with their water dispenser, which I would've had to refill like 6 times. Was told they don't give out the big cups, so I offered to pay for it (most places will charge a few cents for a plastic cup, I was fine with that). The response I received was "if you're going to make such a big deal about it you can just have one." WTF? How about you check your attitude when serving customers. Also they have 4 sandwiches on the menu so calling it a "deli" is a massive stretch. I don't see any need to return here when I'm in Vail. There are plenty of place with friendly service that are worth going to. read more

Whenever I'm in a new town, I tend to support the local business and experiment with new coffee shops. Loaded Joe's was a great recommendation from the tourist information people. Their Kick A** Hot Chocolate was delicious and service great. After a long day of skiing we heard that Loaded Joe's had $3 beers, which sounded right up our alley! We meandered our way down to it since it is kind of in a basement location off the main street going through Vail Village. We were welcomed by a quaint little bar filled with some local ski bums, which also ended up being an espresso bar (to my surprise). While a $3 beer didn't sound bad by any means, a caramel latte sounded much better to me so that's what I ended up ordering. I wasn't expecting very good coffee since it just seemed like a run-of-the-mill coffee shop/bar but was pleasantly surprised by a damn good latte. Their prices were very reasonable and the espresso was nice and smooth. The latte wasn't overtaken by sweetness; it had just enough caramel as to not overwhelm the delicious espresso and frothy milk. The other people I was with got some Coronas, a vanilla latte, and a chocolate croissants and all seemed happy with what they got. This place is definitely on the tiny side so you may or may not find somewhere to sit, but I would definitely check it out for an après-ski drink! read more

Such a great idea! I read the website and all about the owner, its so cool to combine nice beer, good coffee, and lounge-style ambiance. The place gets crazy some nights though, as they do themed nights with trivia, free pool, karaoke, etc. Although, that does not seem to deter some nerds from coding it up in the corners. I love it here! There is no better way to start a day of skiing than with an almond milk macchiato and a fresh breakfast sandwich or protein shake. It's the only thing I want in the morning in Vail. I wish I'd have stopped here our first day of a Vail vacation - definitively would have trumped every Starbucks trip! It seems like one of those places that could be kind of "exclusively" local - which I get from the small resort town I grew up in - but every encounter with staff was extremely welcoming in a not at all feigned kind of way. My sister got a latte and me a Spanish coffee, and both were delicious and topped with a bit of froth perfection. It had been an adventurous day driving with my BFF from Denver to Vail with a semi-open hood and up and down the mountainous slopes when we finally made it to Vail- paradise on Earth. We arrived and it seemed like all of the problems that we might have had before disappeared; however, as we were venturing town it began to rain.
