GREAT coffee! I got a vanilla almond milk latte, it was really strong but you could taste the sweet vanilla, yum! The service was just alright, and like someone else said, it's not a large environment to hang out. But the coffee was amazing. And their other fancy coffee drinks looked delicious (snickers, milky way, mexican coffee). The sizes are a little smaller than starbucks, but so are the prices. read more

Was disappointed when my girlfriend and I walked in expecting a friendly place to grab some breakfast. No one working there gave us the time of day for 5 minutes so we finally flagged down a flustered looking hostess, which, I understand a busy restaurant but the place was half empty, she pointed to a couple of open tables and walked off. After sitting for another 10 minutes waiting for a menu, water or even direction as to where to order (they did also have a counter where you could order coffee but it said "wait to be seated") we gave up and walked out. No one working seemed to notice. read more

The baristas are absolutely the best people to deal with before you've had coffee in the morning. The coffee is phenomenal, the food as well, with an amazing soundtrack of oldies playing I was sold pretty quickly. There are also only a handful of coffee shops I've been to that have a full bar and a wine beer selection. 5/5 would visit again. read more

Best coffee ever! This place is hard to spot but worth the effort. We stopped in late afternoon and it was not too busy- we grabbed our coffee and then sat by the river to enjoy it. Support your local economy and go to covered bridge instead of Starbucks.

What can I say about this place? Anywhere that offers a beer for $2.50 during a fairly long happy hour is great in my book. Their late night menu is great and extremely reasonable. If you are in Vail Village near the covered bridge I would definitely suggest heading down into Loaded Joes. read more

We purchased bagels for an anniversary brunch after letting them know ahead of time we would need them. They were completely hard and clearly a couple of days old. We called to register a complaint and were told they were a day old and that the manager would return our call, but they did not. We were charged $2.25 per bagel for stale bagels. Might have caught them on an off-day. True, it's one of the only places around with semi-sane prices. When we were there they were out of a bunch of sandwich menu items (which is weird for a menu that isn't really that long...) and the guy behind the counter was nice but on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Classic Vail service -- let me take time to high-five all of my friends while the line of stupid tourists (that's me...) backs up. Based on the positive reviews here I'd go back for a second try, but not encouraging. read more

Best coffeehouse in Vail. Cool, funky vibe with great coffee. My husband doesn't drink coffee so he had a hot chocolate. He said it was one of the best he has had. Relaxing, warm, cozy atmosphere. When wandering around Vail in the fall, this is a favorite stop, especially when there is not much else open. read more

I am back in Vail for vacation and my first stop was Loaded Joes....I love this place! Excellent quality espresso, absolutely the best in Vail!! Don't waste your time trying other coffee shops if you want awesome quality espresso and coffee. Very friendly/prompt service. This location is very small, but the espresso is awesome. Not quite mid-day, less than a handful of people in the whole place, yet our family was left to stand at the counter completely unacknowledged by their 3 employees for over 5 minutes. My husband finally asks for some assistance and an annoyed female says "what do you want". The menu on the wall states breakfast items served until 1p, yet at 12 something, we are rudely told they are no longer serving breakfast. Asked for a smoothie, we are told they are out of bananas. Asked for frozen yogurt, (more attitude) they aren't serving that either. Finally we are told that if we want something, there are other places in town are serving them... You don't have to tell us twice! read more

Certainly worth a trip down the stairs - Loaded Joe's in Vail (there are two locations in the Vail Valley) serves the best lattes. Yes, I know that sounds superlative but honestly in all my travels - from Seattle to Paris - this is the yummiest latte I have had. read more

Extremely RUDE was here over the Fourth of July my son and nephew we're excited to get ice cream.... staff was not encouraging "samples" as signage states. I vacation in Vail often and this was my favorite coffee shop until my last visit a few day ago. I ordered two small coffee drinks as usual but when I got my order the size of the cups shrunk in half. It looked like something you should get as a free sample. Everything in Vail is overpriced but as least I used to be able to get a decent size drink for the $. This was just ridiculous. A small size mocha shouldn't be served in a thimble. I hope they go back to their old size cups. Until then I'll have to find another coffee shop. read more

I'm not so sure why this place is so well rated. I've been twice and been disappointed each time. I get the veggie breakfast burrito, simple. I walk in and I'm the only one in the store each time so no rush, but my food is still thrown together as though a crowd of 50 are at the door. Sometimes 1 or 2 Instant eggs, and 2 slices of thin tomato, a small handful of onions, and a quick 10 second microwave then it's "Thanks have a great day!"(only reason it's 2 stars is from the good attitudes and good music) I can only recommend loaded Joes if it's the only place open in the morning, and even then I'm still hesitant about telling someone to go there. If you're looking for a breakfast place that does a good job with the food part then I would head up towards gondola 1 a little bit and stop by Joe's Famous Deli. read more

The service was great. We got some breakfast wraps that were solid with some tea. We also asked about getting a wrap to take with us on our hike. Despite the face that we there at 8:30am, they made us a wrap and even made it very customized for our wants. The wrap was a great hit on the hike. read more
