Found this place on yelp and decided to give it a go. So I took my bf here to get a cut.. called and the owner Zaman said to come on in. He cut my bf's hair and I must say, I definitely think we found my bf's new barber. Zaman took his time working on Anthony's hair, and he was an absolute gem to talk to and work with. He constantly checked in with how Anthony liked it, and overall he was just a nice guy and made small talk. The ambience of this place was really nice, the shop was clean, and I definitely enjoyed Zaman's puppy being around! (That was a plus for me as I waited the ~45 minutes for Zaman to cut Anthony's hair). Loved the end result. Loved the professionalism. Loved the ambience and cleanliness of the shop. Would highly recommend coming here! And my bf agrees, 5/5 stars!! I wrote them a 5 star review right away after getting my first haircut there. The guy was chill and my haircut seemed great. When I showered later that day and my hair was down, I noticed he missed cutting a huge section of hair near the back of my head. It looked fine (almost unnoticeable) when my hair was gelled, but it was pretty bad when it wasn't. I figured I'd give him another shot since he was super cool. Next time I went in I told him what he missed last time. He could tell it was messed up, apologized, and said he'd get it this time. While he did better, he still managed to miss a good section of my hair. He was combing it to the side while cutting and couldn't tell. Again, he styled it when he was done so it was hardly noticeable until it fell down after a shower. A few weeks later I was in a pinch and needed a cut, so I went back in. I figured that if I told and showed him how he messed up two times already he'd for sure do it right. Annndd he didn't. I went straight to a new barber, he saw how it was really messed up, and has been doing it right ever since. I'm sure he does great for most people, but he just couldn't get mine right. This review is long overdue. What can I say about Zaman. He has been my go to guy ever since I stopped by Lobby 86 for the first time 3 years ago. Even now that I moved home after college, I wish I could've brought him with me to continue being my barber. I never go on yelp to review but this haircut was so bad I have to warn others. Neptune cut my hair or should I say butchered it. I asked him to fade it from a 2 up to the top. Needless to say he left it way too long after I repeatedly asked him to cut it very short. Now I look like bozo :) in addition he never asked how long I want my sideburns, he left one about a half inch higher than the other. Then they charged $25. That's fine if it had been half way decent. Don't waste your money. I will say it appeared the other guy was a much better barber but that doesn't help me! read more
