Bliss nails was packed on a Thursday late morning. I just needed my gel removed. I should had just waited. I went to iFancy. There was no one there... no one!! Crazy because next door at Bliss there were twenty plus customers. IFancy destroyed my nail by grinding off my nail!! I was shocked that they charged me $24!!! I only had twenty. I just visited this salon, and they had a sign up front and told me that their credit card machine was broken. I asked if they accept Zelle or Venmo, like almost every other salon in SD, and they said no but pointed me to an ATM machine that they conveniently have in their lobby. If the credit card machine is broken, why do they just so happen to have an ATM machine? I was trying the ATM even though my gut told me something as off, but the ATM was taking a suspiciously long time such that I suspect they may have a card skimmer, so I cancelled the transaction and left. As an attorney who regularly handles fraud cases, something felt off here, and you have to trust your gut. At a minimum, they are violating the law by advertising that they accept credit cards (false advertising), lying about the machine being broken, and then, EITHER getting a commission of you using their ATM (an unfair business practice) OR skimming your credit card. I plan to report them to the police because it is one thing to not accept credit cards, but be open and advertise that. It is quite another to advertise accepting them when it is a lie... read more

I completely forgot that I visited this salon during covid times. I was asked if I'd been there before and I said it was my second time... I went in the beginning of May. Ibran to yelp to rave about this salon. My experience was amazing and I'm so happy I could treat my mom to a wonderful spa day. We called and gave only 15 minute heads up that we were on the way. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted. We sat in a cute waiting area for 5 minutes reviewing colors and then were shown our pedicure chairs. The salon is beautiful! The decor is 100% fancy with many upgrades. The pedicure chairs are extremely nice looking and comfortable. You know how some places have run down looking chairs ?? Not this place! The sink is modern and so is the hand dryer. I just loved it all! We both got the diamond pedicure. For $70, I've never been treated so well at a nail salon. We rcvd heated neck pillow, massage chair, awesome callus removal, salt Scrub, paraffin wax, drinks, leg and foot massage, hot towels, hot stones, steam treatment over legs during massage. This was the best pedicure I've ever had! A robot even rolled over to greet us. Soooo cute and extra! The owner (I believe) also checked on us. Everyone was really kind:) Loved our manicures too. I fell asleep and it was a great nap. I'm 6 weeks postpartum so this day was very much needed and I'm happy. This place is a scam. I had to pay $90 for a basic medium length acrylic nail set with french tip. Their website says an "acrylic white tip full set" only costs $50. They also force you to use their ATM because their credit card system "doesn't work" even though they claim it does online. The service was average. 1st appointment with Rose was great, no issues. Appointment 2, Rose says to wait 10 mins, and then made me wait 40 ADDITIONAL minutes with no update. When I left the owner told me it was because nobody took down my phone number to call me. Why wouldn't she tell me when I arrived so I could go run an errand or come back? 3rd appointment, AGAIN nobody took my number when booking, but this time I called 15 mins before my appt time to make sure Rose was on time, was told to come in 30 mins later, came in 45 mins past my appt time and STILL waited. With SO many other salons in the area, the quality and high prices doesn't justify the bad customer service. I highly recommend going somewhere else unless you want to waste your time. read more

I've been here twice before, once for a pedicure and once for a gel manicure. I loved the pedicure, but the manicure was just average. I'm giving it two stars because of the experience I just had. I arrived at 6:20 for a pedicure, and they said it would be a 5-minute wait. However, after waiting about 25 minutes, a woman walked in after me and was helped right away. With the salon about to close, I felt uncomfortable and honestly frustrated that they assisted her before me. I have been a loyal customer here for almost 5 years. The owner, Lonnie, is truly a lovely human who treats her customers like family. She works really hard to curate the space to make people feel welcomed, comfortable and enjoy a moment of Zen while getting quality nail services. Every nail service comes with a beverage of choice (margaritas or wine, too!) which is so nice after a long day. If I'm unable to enjoy a cocktail due to my work schedule, the iced Vietnamese coffee is quite nice as well. Both Lonnie & Rose are excellent for full sets and nail art. I don't mind paying for a good job. But when you overpay and then have to go to another nail place to fix their mess.poorly done. The gel polish is uneven and lumpy, and the shape of my nails is inconsistent and sloppy. For the price I paid, I expected a much higher level of quality and attention to detail. I did a bunch of Yelp and Google research to find a place that had good reviews, and not-so-terrible reviews in terms of infections or real injuries. This was the place that beat others. I just wanted to get my hype-builder gel off from another salon because it was prematurely chipping, and just did not want to go back to them. They were able to fit me in easily, and were able to get this awful gel off. It definitely took sometime but they were persistent, and were able to get it off without hurting me. I needed my acrylic nails and off and just a basic mani. I wasn't asked what shape I wanted and she did almond, I didn't realize it until the paint was on. Usually they ask. I really liked the cleanliness and vibe of the salon. The staff was good but I felt a little blindsided by the prices. I called ahead for an appointment and started right when I got there which was great. I got a gel fill done which was $50 on the website, when we were finished I was told it was $67 which seems a little pricey for a fill. It was an extra $10 for shape which doesn't seem super logical to me because they have to shape the acrylic's anyways if they get cut. Also $7 for one broken nail. I also got a plain color nothing fancy kept the same shape as before. So I just wanted to throw it out there that the fees are not 100% accurate and they did not tell me through out the process which I would feel better about. So that's my review I was dissatisfied with that but everything was good! Just make sure to ask if you think there is a possibility you could be charged more. read more
