First time going into a City Market - Loblaws. Its very bright inside and yes its very spacious and clean. They have a big selection on organic produce. I didn't end up getting anything here because of the prices and second of all, I have better produce in my hood where I live. They have a large selection of interesting cakes. Guess you can pre-order. I would rate this place as a higher-end supermarket.

I'm so on the fence with the store. I want to like it, but there's various things that are holding me back. Note: My husband and I are living on a shoestring budget until I finish University next year. As a result, we typically shop at the Real Canadian Superstore down on Seymour and we track prices like hawks. No joke. What I like about City Market: - Free, underground parking that hardly ever seems to be very busy. It's awesome on rainy days. - The general decor and layout of the place is visually appealing and attractive. It's so clean! - The cheese selection and presentation is AWESOME. - There is a cute little cafe over by the check out area that I could totally see myself enjoying a tea from if I ever had the time. What's not winning me over: - Selection: Due to City Market being a smaller store, it doesn't offer nearly as many brands or selection. Don't go there expecting to find everything you could at Superstore. - Prices: Everything generally seems to be slightly higher in cost than what we're used to (sans a few items and things on sale). While City Market does offer the PC/no name brands, some of those were even more expensive than what you can find at Superstore. Considering they're owned by the same parent company, this was super confusing to us. Lastly, and while I'm pretty sure I can't hold this against them, their shopping carts fail to work with the green shopping bins from Superstore. You can fit one of them in their carts.. max. Furthermore, the few times we've asked the clerk to pack our groceries into the bins has been a confusing, hot mess for them. Perhaps we made the wrong assumption in thinking they'd be familiar and accommodating with the concept since they are practically the same company. Ah well. Long story short, if you've got the dough, check it out. However, if you're like us and shop at Superstore for the prices and selection, stick with that option.

It is nice in here, look at the wow factor.

Nice selection, lots of unique choices. Most staff friendly and helpful. One scrawny miserable cashier but otherwise good.

The store looks nice, but the selection is poor, and the prices are high. I'd rather go to IGA than here and that's saying something.

I love watching movies and enjoy a good food or a simple snack to go with it, so I decided to pass…read morethrough this store as I'm usually in this area anyways to see what kind of selection they have. The good: they do have SOME selections of chips and other snack items, as well as beverages like soda and non-alcoholic drinks. And the prices seems fair and competitive. Also the employees that I've seen seemed friendly. The bad: Not the best selections, not saying they're bad as they do provide options, but it's just as I've seen better. That and if you're looking for something as simple as chips, then unless if I'm missing something, THEIR selections of those items seemed not that far off from Walmart or even the dollar store (ie. Dollarama) options. Bottom line, this is definitely a good spot to visit if you're looking for some grubs to eat as they do have items for you to grab either to eat in the store as they have their own tables and seats (with a flatscreen tv as well, nice touch), foods in the deli to be eaten on the go, and even the typical roasted whole chicken for about $10 for you to take home for dinner. Basically, if you've been to any IGA, then you've probably already seen them all for the most part. :)

Remember to bring an extra arm and a leg, you WILL need them. The prices of items are ridiculous;…read morecompared to Save On foods, Superstore & Walmart, here the milk was extra $2 or more, same for yogurt, cereal, club soda, kalamata olives and the list goes on.... Decided to walk home 2 blocks and drove to Save On Foods. I spent less than $10 on gas, bought more stuff on a reasonable price in Save On Foods.

Decided to come by to this store recently after a medical appointment right next door because I've…read morebeen itching to check out their inventory and see what they had to offer for a while. Anyways, if you been to any popular grocery store chain, you've been to all of them because they offer pretty much the same idea as any other stores. Their prices seems to be pretty fair and do have a decent amount of items for you to buy as a quick lunch (sandwich, wraps, sushi, chicken tenders and chicken pieces). I decided to get the chicken tenders and the total + the free dipping sauce (first one is free) = $6.11 and the chicken ended up being relatively tender and moist. Is the best tasting chicken ever? No but it does the job if you are hungry and needed something quick. and also the dipping sauce helped a lot too. I also noticed some hot pot meat slices and it's kind of surprising as I didn't really expect them to have these as I've only ever really seen them in Asian stores. The prices for it though wasn't exactly the greatest as I had seen slightly better offers, but it's definitely not terrible. Osaka supermarket in Park Royal mall in West Vancouver 5~8 minute drive away is a better option for anyone who wants this. Lastly the cashier that checked my items out seemed friendly enough. Not a bad place to check out for a quick meal.

Probably the worst groceries store on the north shore…read more These guys don't care about much. I don't think the management care so why should the staff. Zero response for concerns.
