    2 lobsters $50, includes fries.

Fast service, good size lobsters, nice casual atmosphere. We had to be handsy with our lobster, especially the tail portion since there was no way to split it open. I didn't have my pocket knife and the plastic knife provided didn't help much. Nevertheless, we managed to get the tail portion extracted whole. I would eat here again. Came for LL Bean so getting to eat lunch here was an extra benefit.

We just had a great and filling lunch today! So yummy and happy we stopped for fish & chips and a Haddock sandwich! (Both were amazing tasting Haddock- a local to Maine seafood!) Had lemonade and did I mention that their tartar sauce was fresh and tasty too? Amazing place! It's off-season and it was a warm and welcoming place to enjoy a Christmas shopping day!

Came here with my daughter a few days ago and we each had a large clam chowder and split a lobster roll and fries. Are there cheaper eats right around the corner? Yes. But we were with my large dog who needed a rest after shopping all morning and they were kind enough to bring her a water bowl. I loved the fries and all the condiments they offer. My daughter also said that was the best lobster roll she's ever had. And we come to Maine every summer, so that's saying a lot. We will most likely be back if we get the chance!

The food here is so tasty and a decent price for what you get! I am a local and go here quite a bit if I want some good fried seafood :)

Gluten Free Whole Belly Fried Clams

I was hankering for some seafood on my daytrip to ME and stopped at this place for a late lunch en route. It was conveniently located off the highway and plenty of parking off main drag behind restaurant. So, for $30 this is what I got... fried whole belly clam basket with fries and they have batter that is gluten free ... awesome. The clams were good enough, a few were a bit gritty not even a pint's worth amount... the fries were terrible ... limp and soggey. When I ordered some other patrons were walking away with their lobster rolls which looked pretty darn good. ( $32 ) If I go here again.. I'll opt for that .. but it's a big maybe. I'm sorry, but I just don't think it was that good to justify $30 + dollars. I can buy a whole lb and a half lobster pre- steamed on sale at my local supermarket for about half the price !!! And, a local seafood place near where I live have fabulous lobster rolls for $19 believe it or not. But hey, if you got the $$$ and you're floating through Freeport and willing to pay tourist trap prices....?

    Very clean & comfortable.

Yup, even Ms Cookie loves lobster . However, current prices were a little too extravagant for us down south New Englanders, let alone sharing with a verousixous pup. Despite our Lobsta rolls were fresh, on a butter grilled roll, served cold with a whole claw and chopper tail, on a delicate layer of greens. Ah, cold as it should be. Nice selection of local ale on tap, shaded tables, so pup was welcome. Being on the main Freeport drag and smartly located within the prime shopping area, prices are understood.

Came in for a quick meal on Sunday night. $30 for lobster salad. Dressings are packaged. I'd return to try a lobster roll or seafood basket. Casual dining.

Great place for a cup of chowder. We tried the red dogs for our first time and it was tasty on a grilled bun. Corn on the cob was perfect. Will be back for the shrimp or lobster roll. Very friendly staff and clean restaurant

Overall 3.5 Upstairs seating area is full service and a nice place to sit for a bit. Small space with bar and high top seating. Server was nice but a bit slow and we had to ask for water refills. Menu is the same at the counter or upstairs. The clam chowder had a nice consistency (not too watery) with a solid amount of clams. I would order this again if I came back. The clams were full belly, cooked well and were clean... not gritty. The tarter sauce was goo. I didn't try the calamari to be able to speak to it. The fried ravioli were standard that came with pre packaged marinara sauce.

Worth the drive, and the wait! The lobster bisque was absolutely fantastic - creamy, hint of heat and good pieces of fresh lobster. The lobster roll was as good as any I have enjoyed in Maine. The location is close to the LL Bean store, so it's a little touristy, but solid food offering here.

The Lobster Cooker in Freeport, Maine, is a hidden gem for seafood enthusiasts. Tucked away in this picturesque coastal town, this unassuming restaurant offers an authentic and unforgettable dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by a cozy and rustic atmosphere that sets the stage for a delightful meal. The decor, adorned with nautical elements and charming lobster traps, creates an inviting ambiance. The friendly and attentive staff immediately make you feel at home, adding to the overall welcoming vibe. As for the food, the portions are quite small for the price you pay. Overall the taste is alright and I didn't dislike anything; however, you'd think there'd be some sort of unique flavor or something to differentiate from other similar establishments.

Haddock and fries - and yummy tartar sauce.

We stopped in after running errands and had a fabulous lunch. We opted for upstairs as that is where you can get 'full service and full bar'. It was also raining out so the outside seating wasn't something that we could do. We ordered the fried shrimp and the fried haddock baskets. The seafood was very fresh, and the coating on the shrimp and haddock was flavorful - not just breading. Unfortunately the fries were also very, very good (tried not to eat all of them just cuz). Bonus for sports fans - lots of screens with everything from golf to tennis to baseball and football. Drinks were good and reasonable. We'll look forward to a return visit!

Paul's bistro has the best food in town! We came the other night for dinner but I will post about…read morethat yumminess in another review! Today we came for a warm bowl of soup and fireplace , since it's chilly and raining outside. The clam chowder is a must ! It's honestly the best clam chowder I've ever tasted. It has a lot of the clam juice in it , so it's very flavorful and not overly thick like most clam chowders . It's perfectly balanced and full of clams. We also got the French onion soup. I really enjoyed their version of this classic. It has bourbon in it and has a very unique flavor. It's rich and has plenty of onions and broiled cheese on top. It has a flavor of its own , so don't come expecting your typical French onion soup! My hubby ordered the Maine lobster roll with a side salad, Instead of fries. I ordered the fish and chips remembering how tasty it was last summer! I'd probably skip the fish n chips. I didn't particularly love the taste of the fried fish. ( maybe because I am seed oil free! I'm not saying they cook with seed oils , I would just choose something else, next time ,because there are so many delicious choices ! ) Definitely check out my food pics attached! The lobster roll on their warm buttery roll is delicious! It's A nice size, too. His side salad was super fresh. The service here is excellent! Bradford was very friendly and helpful. We would've never discovered the ridiculously delicious clam chowder had he not recommended it! My only disappointment was that the fireplace wasn't burning. They said they only turn it on in the evening. They tried to clean it and get it going for us, though, so I really appreciate the effort ! They have a great staff , beautiful ambiance and a wide, delicious choice of food on their menu! If the owners read this review, perhaps they could compromise on cold rainy days and provide the fire place. I promise it will encourage more people to come in ! Pleasant surprise- they got the fireplace going as we were finishing our lunch so we moved to the chairs in front of the fireplace and just sat and enjoyed it for a few moments afterwards. Such a cozy spot.
