Delicious food, fair prices and excellent customers service. Their checked tenders are the best I have tasted. They come out pipping hot, crispy yet tenders in the inside and not greasy at all. I ordered a Cesar salad and opt to switch out the dressing. The balsamic vinaigrette was ok. The grilled chicken in salad was good and salad fresh. Definitely will come back to get their chicken tenders !

Been going here for years, great friendly staff and decent sports bar ambiance for watching the game. Their food is quite good and usually cooked from scratch. Their chicken fingers are my absolute favorite, it's a huge portion and very fresh.

Hungrily looking for a bite to eat post hike. A quick Yelp search and Gipper's popped up. Going in blindly, this place was a pleasant surprise. Packed to the brim with sports memorabilia, this place had all the makings and feels of a great local hometown place. Seated immediately and handed menus, my friend and I ordered two local brews and browsed the menu. The menu is huge. There are so many options it was hard to choose. A lot of the burgers and tasty meals are named after famous athletes. One recommendation I can definitely say would be the chicken tenders. Holy moly! I don't typically brag about chicken but these were hot, tender, juicy, and crispy. I opted for a chicken club and my friend went with the steak. Our food was promptly served and like the tenders, equally delicious. Service here is great. Definitely looking forward to a return trip.

Great wings! Amazing nachos and a bangin Caesar wrap. Drinks were on mark and the service..well..it made my day. First trip but won't be the last. Get new napkins.. when you eats wings the napkins stick to your fingers :/

Went here for lunch before we did groceries today. The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. They have a huge menu so there's something for everyone. Highly recommend the French onion soup!!

It was Blues Jam on Sunday and an older crowd of locals. Great music from several bands each playing a set. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful with drink orders and food choices. If you like cider, go for the Downeast Cider on draft - delicious and not overly sweet. Special on Sunday of $9 Bud Light pitchers. We mainly came in for lunch more so than for drinks. Another Sunday special is $.95 apiece wings. We got 8 extra crispy with the sweet chili sauce. Highly recommend! Main entree was a cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers with side of onion rings, and hubby had a Reuben with sweet potato fries. The burger was small but really good. Onion rings were crispy and not greasy. The Reuben was crisp on outside with good flavor. Although the portions weren't huge, you couldn't beat the price at $9.95 per meal. Everything is made to order by Ron in the back. If you are in a hurry for your meal and not planning to sit around and drink for the afternoon, just tell your waitress and I'm sure things will come out faster for you. Would come back again!

This watering hole had everything I was looking for. Retro decor that remained unchanged since my high school days when the Auburn Mall was THE place to hit the arcade and slush puppy stand (what a punk I was). There was a two dog special the night I went and, being the hot dog aficionado that I am, I got me two dogs and a basket of fries. The bar was packed with the locals, friendly, laughing, yes think Cheers, it was that. Bar tender was friendly, greeted me when I walked in. Sit wherever you like, food server came right over with menus and the drinks came out fast. Menu is everything you want when you want dive bar grub -which I did. Daily specials on the board and the menu was just what you'd expect. Burgers, baskets, wings, I used to love their stuffed mushroom caps and that was my meal goal until I heard about the grilled hot dogs. You get into Thatchers from outside or inside the mall. Mall diners in Maine are a dying breed but Thatchers stands tall holding its crown. If you wanna hit the arcade (still there) and experience the heyday of mall eateries head into Thatchers and take in the green pleather seats in a bar that seems like they know your name.

T he food is great, the service is great and they have a great selection of beers and specialty drinks. However, my recent visit to Buck It just as they opened for the lunch hour during the week was less than satisfying. The waitress, who appeared to be young, was more concerned with talking with the one customer at the bar than to keep an eye on our table. She was quick to take our drink order, but after she dropped them off, we didn't see her for a good 5+ minutes when we placed our food order. After the food was delivered, we never saw the girl until she brought us our check. The majority of the time you could hear her out back talking to the kitchen staff and then she would return to the bar and chat with the one person. At no point did she ever check on us to see how the meal was. Now to the food. My wife had the steak tips with fries and I had the bourbon chicken tips. The chicken was cooked well and had a BBQ sauce it was tossed in. Rice was very bland, but with some salt, pepper and BBQ sauce it was alive again. My wife's tips were cooked very well, but seriously under seasoned. A little salt can go a long way on steak. I was going to sample a smoked whiskey drink they had, but since the bartender was no where to be found, I settled on my soda. It's a good thing we didn't run out of drink, because we would have needed glow wands and flags to get the attention of the bartender. It's too bad because I had high praise for Buck It and the service it what drives my review from a 5-start to a 2-star. Customer service is what makes this a great place, but the younger generation don't understand the first thing about interaction and customer service unless it's through a phone or social media app. It's too bad. Keep the seasoned employees on during lunch if you want to interact with the staff.

The burgers were hand-made, not pre-pressed patties. Mushroom Swiss and cheeseburger both tasted great. There's a lot of cheese, and a decent amount of meat. While I can't verify this, my grandson said "it was the cleanest bathroom of any restaurant." He was impressed. Lol. Seriously.

I will also say knowing this is a sports bar like spot I didn't have the highest expectations to begin with. Which I appreciate when a spot surprises me and blows those expectations out of the water. That did not occur here! It was our second choice for dinner tonight due to our first spot having a wait. So firstly for a positive I will say Deck House does have ample parking and lots of space for people to eat so that's a plus. Also if you are looking for a classic sports bar vibes with many tvs on the walls and plenty of bar seats this may be your spot to catch a game with friends. Overall for our experience service was slow, they were friendly it just took a long time for food and other tables received their food much faster after shorter waits. My wife got the Braised Beef Short Rib and it was cooked well and was extremely tender, she enjoyed it very much. I got the Lobster Mac which was good but much smaller than I expected and some lobster pieces were tough due to their large size. Our meals and then two margaritas which were decent were almost $100. We did get some of the more expensive meals off the menu but I do believe for the price we could get better food elsewhere. I'm glad we tried it but nothing would be worth revisiting for. Hopefully if you visit you have a better experience!

Well, we finally made it happen, and we loved it! I seriously can't wait to go back. Located in Windham and next to a go-kart + mini-golfing spot, odds are you've also driven by this restaurant. The views from the deck are spectacular, and I can't wait to go back during the fall foliage season. The indoor space is also lovely -- it feels like a giant cabin! We loved the vibe: it's cozy, lowkey, and casual, which is precisely what we were looking for. The service was excellent from the minute we walked inside. The hostess was accommodating when we asked to sit at a different table (better views!), and our waitress was kind and constantly checking on us. The menu was more extensive than we expected. They have it all -- an impressive starters section, plenty of pub/tavern food, and even dinner plates. They also had a full cocktail menu (all reasonably priced), plenty of local beers, and wines. We had the strawberry margarita with jalapeño-infused tequila ($10), and it was delicious (albeit a bit small for a marg, but it was also only ten bucks). Our burgers ($18) were great, but unfortunately, a bit overcooked. The fries were just okay, nothing to write home about, and portion-wise, smaller than what we expected. We also ordered their four-cheese macaroni as a starter, and that was delicious! Overall, however, we enjoyed our time and can't wait to return!
