I searched burgers in BH and Pizzeria 131 sounded like a winner. And it was two minutes away! I ordered a Tipsy Cowboy burger with fries. It has to be THE BEST BURGER ON THE ISLAND. Juicy, full of marvelous flavors and smothered in grilled onions. YUM. As a matter of fact, today, after a long day of unpacking and sorting, I just ordered another one. Can't wait to pick it up. The atmosphere in the bar area when I picked up my order seemed like a place I would like to return to with friends. You cannot go wrong here.

We waited over an hour for a large half-pepperoni, half-cheese pizza. The burger and fries we ordered came out in about 30 minutes, but the waitress bringing out the burger said the pizza was coming. Twenty minutes later we inquired again, only to be told they were backed up. We got that message from the 50-minute wait, but when people who ordered pizza after us, received their pizza before we did, we knew this place had issues. When the lady finally brought out the pizza, she was like, "sorry," but big deal, by then the damage was already done. They made no efforts to make it up to us, especially considering we had waited so long. Very disappointing. They really didn't care about our two han-gry (hungry and angry) kids who really wanted to eat that pizza. The restaurant had a fairly steady flow of customers ordering, but it was not crowded or overwhelming. People enjoyed food and drinks around their tables and watching the big screen televisions with trivia and sports updates. Nobody was at the pool table. After waiting so long, my son was trying to be optimistic and said we should play some pool, since no one was playing. Then he saw the big sign that said only 18-year-olds and older, no exceptions! Needless to say, we were sorely disappointed with this experience. For a Monday night, where the pace was not very busy or unmanageable, this should not have been that hard to make a pizza in less than an hour. This was ridiculous. As a result, I do not recommend this place, especially if you have kids. Check out the other pizza places in town and save yourself a lot of time and frustration ... or order your dinner at lunchtime.

It was 3:30 so we shopped around again and then got in line 15 minutes early. We were second, everyone formed a line. We thought it must have a reputation if people are waiting for the doors to open What a good call. They have lots of choices besides pizza, salads, drinks and a fun, clean dinning place with a jute box. Not sure if it was really playing music but it was good music. A lot of Italian dishes they serve but we really wanted to try their pizza. We had a cheese pizza and a Caesar salad. Wow! Thin crust at its best. Very tasty and satisfying! Yup I see why people wait in line for doors to open . It's a must when visiting Bar Harbor. The first day we got here my daughter saw it and wanted to go. I said let's try a different place instead of pizza. So glad we came on our last day. It was one of the best pizza I've had and will remember! Prices are so reasonable, restaurant is very clean. You order, pay, get a buzzer, and you wait at a table or booth and they bring food to you. It's great you are not waiting to pay so you can leave when done. Just note the bathrooms in back and you go up a ramp and a few steps. I will be back when in Bar Harbor.

We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and two fountain sodas. The place was still busy around 9 pm. The employee was friendly and hooked us with paper plates and packets of parm cheese & red pepper which was great since I'm not sure we would have found plates in our hotel at that time. I have to say, it was a quality, regular pie. Lots of large pieces of pepperoni on every slice, cooked well, good sauce, good crust. We were very satisfied with our pie from here and would come back!

The undercarriage was decent, not much of a flop jlop, but not entirely crispy either, kind of right in the middle. The flavor of the pizza was bland. The flavors were all muted and it was hard to pick up on anything besides the cheese. For a cheese pizza, it may have gotten a 6.5/10, but because it's a margarita, I have to judge it more harshly, I'd give it a 5/10. The breadsticks were so dense. Almost like they didn't let the bread dough proof at all after rolling them into sticks. Genuinely, freezer breadsticks would have probably been better. 3/10.

I wish I could give it 5 stars, but realistically it's probably not quite that deserving food-wise. That being said, I still love the atmosphere and nostalgia of it. They also have really good gluten-free options, which my mom loves.

I got a caprese pizza, with fresh basil and balsamic glaze on top. The dough was hand stretched and created, and made to order. The wait was a little long, and the staff moved a touch slow- but I considered this the pace of the state, and as an out-of-towner, I just waited patiently and explore the rest of the offerings. They had a FULL liquor store inside this gas station. As a NYer, this was insane to see- they had scotch, vodka, etc- everything you could want! There was a nice coffee station, milkshake machine, etc. It was so good, we went here again a second day to get sandwiches for the road. They also had a good supply of Humpty Dumpty chips in a flavor called AAll-Dressed. These were life changing. I bought ALL of the bags they had (only 4 left) and ate one on the drive home, and another that evening at the next hotel. This place is clean, accommodating, has a lot to offer, so if you are going to picnic at Acadia or just want to stock your campsite- this is a great place for everything, and to get some fresh-made and affordable food.
