I'd passed this place a few times while in the area and finally gave it a try this weekend. Place was packed and had too many TVs to count, definitely a great place to watch a sporting event. Final Four game was on 8-10 screens. Food wise, the chicken surprised me. The menu is HUGE and they have a bit of everything. The chicken was extremely tender, seasoned well and juicy. I had no idea what dirty rice was but you get two sides with the dinner and most of the options were variations of a potato. Rice had bits of meat and reminded me of a Mediterranean spice, heavy heavy flavor with mostly a cardamom and all spice flavor upfront. The Brussel sprouts, which happened to be the veggie of the day, were delicious. Simple glaze on them did the trick. A few were a little crispier (maybe even burnt) than you would have liked but overall they were a great compliment to the chicken. Someone I was with got the boneless chicken wings and they were gigantic, the biggest I've ever seen. Tender white meat throughout. Could have been two pounds of meat on the plate for one order (either 10 or 12 I can't remember). read more

I celebrated my 21st birthday here during the heat of covid. The bar was supposed to close at midnight but the bartender let us stay an extra 5 minutes to buy my first legal drink. We had an incredible time and I had a 21st birthday I'll never forget. We didn't eat anything but the food smelled very good. The vibes were fantastic. read more

3rd time there but last time now. Each time we have tried different things hoping to find something good. Last time was a burger, it was dry, plain, with no flavor. I am a Vietnam Era Veteran. I played at a Loby's e ent, hosted by a guy named Eric Brook. I gave a shoutout to fellow Veterans in the room, thanked those with requests, and began playing "Moonshadow." Out of nowhere, Mr. Brooks grabbed another mic, and shouted over me that "I do not allow politics or religion on MY stage!" I asked what the offense was. He then began shouting at me, all on the mic. Myself, and other Veterans present, left Loby's, and will never return. I've written Loby's management several times asking what their written policy is on Veterans. Well where do I start?? I ordered the Reuben sandwich. It came out with the rye bread burnt. So they brought me out cold rye bread and then I had to scrap everything off and put it on the cold bread. Decided to try something new on a Friday evening so went to Loby's Bar & Grille. Food was good overall and priced well. The pizza was very tasty, but toppings were minimal. We were excited to find a good breakfast place and stopped in this AM. We sat at the bar as All the high tops in the patio were for 6. The fellow who brought us coffee was terrific, although all they have is non-dairy creamer. NG. We waited for a half hour to have our order taken and the woman behind the bar had an attitude. My breakfast -scrambled eggs, toast and bacon was Ok, but my husband's country fried steak and gravy was not good. Hate to evaluate on just one visit but not looking forward to another one. read more

If a police officer makes a suggestion, it has to be good. That's how we found Loby's on the side of a small shopping strip. This is a sports bar with an extensive beer and wine list. It's a big place and it gets loud. You can sit at the bar, a high top, a table or booth. Our time there went perfectly. We were seated, ordered, received our meals quickly, got refills and the check all with a smile. The tables were nearly full when we left at 5:30 on a Sunday evening, and a group was walking in. A band was setting up on the outdoor covered patio and we could hear it warming up. The Rueben was big with the Thousand Island dressing on the side. The fried bologna sandwich had thick slices on good bread with an onion...so good. This was a nice spot. read more

Interrogates disabled veterans about their disability if they have a service dog. Obviously hasn't even read the ADA but claims to be an expert while asking illegal questions. Manager is an huge Karen. Got angry I didn't want to eat the tots and got in my face aggressively about it. Extremely rude, slow service, dirty atmosphere and their food is nasty. We ate here on Friday night and ordered the fish special. The fish was lukewarm and the fries had been cooked ahead and were mediocre. They must cook this ahead to keep up with how busy they get in a Friday night. Very disappointed in my meal. read more

I went to Loby's to hear a local band I enjoy. I was pleasantly surprised to discover tasty food and a generally decent ambiance. The menu is pretty diverse, lots of different options from quesadillas, ribs, burgers, wings, ny style pizza, mac-n-cheese, steak, fish - generally with fun twists on traditional bar food - steak sandwich on a pretzel bun with carmelized onions, banana peppers and pepper jack cheese. Yum. We shared an order of bacon cheddar fries, which were delicious. I wish the cheese was more melted instead of just thrown on top of the fries. The fries themselves were awesome, very tasty like they could have been the creamy delicious yukon gold potatoes. My friend ordered a giant wedge salad and I had the pulled pork sandwich. It was served on ciabatta bread and even more fries. The pulled pork was tender and the sauce was sweet but not overwhelmingly so. We shared a piece of german chocolate cake that was supposedly made on site. It had freezer burn. So it might have been fresh a week or so ago but definitely not when I got it, so you couldn't really taste the coconut or chocolate of the cake. Definitely a low point. There are two music locales - inside on the stage or a dj outside on the patio. The sound for the band was terrible. It was so loud it was distorted and hard to hear. I guess some would say that it just a bar for ya but they could have mixed the sound a bit better. Maybe that was the band. Who knows. We went on a night with two high school reunions, that was fascinating to watch. They have nightly specials including - burgers for $5, .35 wings, etc. Service was amazing. Our waitress was awesome. Drinks were never empty. Always checking on us. She made the night and what took my review from 3 to 4 stars. Gotta love good service. read more

The waiter was perfectly timed without being intrusive or pesty. Down to earth and a natural at his profession. The food was to die for. I had the steak salad and was the best I have ever eaten. Such fabulous flavors and seasonings you really don't need to use any dressings. If you like a little heat too this salad is for you! My significant other had the pork dinner. Pork chops are his favorite and they did not disappoint! Juicy and flavorful and His asparagus was cooked to perfection. The Loby's potatoes are a mix of chunked roasted/fried with grated Parmesan cheese! He personally did not care for them yet he is more of a mashed potatoes guy. We made the mistake of trying Loby's again several years after our last visit. (At that last visit we were told you eat the wings how the kitchen makes them, even if that's underdone and slimy.) But, the beautiful day and the promise of a cold drink on a patio suckered us in. The table we were seated at was dusted in cigarette ashes, but hey, it's a sunny day so we don't stress about it. Our waitress came to the table and asked what we'd like to drink. We asked for a drink menu because it's been sometime since we were in only to be told there is no drink menu. The waitress says, "we have everything a regular bar has." We tell her thank you will need a minute or two to decide. She kindly brings us ice water, which has dark things floating in it. When she returns, I order either a Kilians Irish Red or Blue Moon on tap, only to be told that Loby's only serves Bud Light on the patio. So much for, "we have everything a regular bar has". I don't think we'll be giving Loby's another try. read more

Went on the advice of a co-worker. So disappointed with the server (if that's what you would call her). Ordered, waited about twenty minutes or more and finally flagged her down for salad. Said ok...no apology or empathy for us sitting there. Ten minutes later brings all the food, with the salad. Nothing like letting your food get cold while eating your salad, huh? Never once asked us about refills, and we had to ask for flatware and napkins AFTER the food sat there for five minutes. I waited tables for years, so I know where of I speak. We have been here several times...and overall I was being kind with a 3 rating. The food is here is pretty good, above average. The best are the sauerkraut balls. The ahi tacos are also really good. The service is horrible. Slow and at times non existent. Our servers tend to disappear and it takes for ever to even get a bottled beverage. read more

Loby's has good food for a decent price however a man claiming that it was his restaurant let his kids run around like it was a playground. When I told him to get. A handle on his kids he told me he was going to wipe the floor with me. Is this the atmosphere the restaurant wants to portray? A sports bar, yes, but with delicious food, very fair prices, great daily specials (1/2 price deals), friendly staff and talented musical acts. The only negatives is the music is loud (or I'm just old) and a few chuck holes in parking lot. I think it is the best sports bar in Stark County. read more

Worst service ever. Went into the restaurant and had to wait over 15 minutes for any staff member to acknowledge us. The only reason we were seated was because a member of the band performing, went and talked to a staff member. We were sat at the bar and had to wait another 17 minutes before one of the two bartenders acknowledged us and asked if we wanted a drink. Other people approached the bar after we did and were served before we were. Will Never go back. read more

The manager tonight was pretty rude. I came in before the Friday night drinking rush to grab some wings and a drink. I sat on the end barstool, which apparently turns into the service bar late at night. I ordered from the bartender, paid, then in comes the manager telling me that once I ate, Id have to move somewhere else. Didn't even offer to find me another seat. And as I'm eating my wings, he's standing at the edge of the bar watching me eat. He then proceeds to make up a sign and tape it next to me that says, "service bar only." loby's is a good place to watch ohio state games and eat a good meal. they have a lot of menu options and the staff is great. i recommend the chicken tenders and chicken sandwich. fries are cooked perfectly and have a great taste. the inside and outside areas are clean and nice. i recommend this establishment to everyone. read more

Large bar with a cool outdoor patio. Some weekends they have bands that play inside. Domestic bottled beers are $2.50. The buffalo chicken sandwich was good but the french fries were really good. They actually have a pretty extensive and more upscale menu for bar food--they serve quite a few entrees around the $14 price point. Buffalo Bills fans should be happy to know this is a Bills bar. read more
