They even took the time to fix a few other parts of the garage that were slightly misaligned, which were unrelated to the spring issue. Local Garage Doors came to the rescue today! The spring snapped on our garage door on Friday night rendering the door inoperable. I made a call this morning to LGD and was able to get an appointment for later in the day.... Jakob and Guillermo got here right at the top of my appointment window and were friendly and knowledgeable. They gave me great price and offered me options for the springs to be replaced. Kathryn A is a LIAR. She LIED and said they contacted me, they are full of it, they never contacted me, they only just called AFTER I left the review, at 11: 40. NEVER trust these people. A garbage, phony company that should not be in business. Called yesterday to set up a "free estimate" appointment. Office woman told me that Adison would come by between 9-11Am and would call me 15-20 minutes before arriving. The two hour window is expired, I received no call, Adison never showed up. I even called the office twice, and nobody bothers to answer, which means they know they screwed up but would prefer to be COWARDS and not answer and not deal with it, hoping I would simply go away-I can't imagine why they would be so rude and entitled, but it seems to be this company's trademark. I do not even believe the positive comments, because it sounds like a completely different company from another dimension or reality. These people are amateurs. Don't waste your time with them, they are a complete fraud, and never mind the multiple coupons to desperately get people to call in. If this were a reputable, reliable business, they wouldn't need shenanigans to get in, their service sucks, and it speaks for itself. Would NEVER use them. A very confusing company. People need to know that this same company has offices in over 50 locations in CA, AZ, NV, You will never see the same persons for any quote, install, repair or warranty. They only sell Liftmaster at huge markups. No Chamberlain, Genie, etc. When I asked for a quote for install of a mid range with wifi, camera, etc. The install came to $987.00. When I went to Liftmaster website and asked for the same unit - no price online. A list of "local" professional installers, had at least 20 companies - and none of them was Local Garage Doors. Shoppers Beware; I always do a little research before I call a company to come to my house. I just have to mention a few red flags. The website boasts having 3000 + 5-star yelp reviews, they have 5, soon to be 6. Website also has the BBB Accredited Logo, went to San Diego BBB website - not accredited. I browsed the photos here on yelp and came acrossed a beautiful picture of the company truck on a snow covered road with snow covered trees...I have been in San Diego for 20 years and never saw snow like this. Was happy they had availability the next day and was given a 2 hour window however no one showed up. No call, no contact at all. Can't say enough good things about my first experience with Jakob and Local Garage Door company. My garage door was stuck in mid-position due to a tangled cable. A real person answered their phone right away and, beyond my every expectation, they were able to send someone within 2 hours. Jakob arrived well within that time window and was as courteous, professional, patient, friendly, honest, and skilled as any service vendor I've ever worked with in 40 years of home ownership. The last two times I had garage door issues, I had used two other companies and was made to feel like they were doing me a favor by even coming out and like they were gouging me on price. Jakob gave me a couple different options for fixing the problem and Local Garage Door's prices for each approach was about half of what I had paid the other companies -- and for what Jakob proved to me were higher quality materials than the others used. He had all the parts he needed right on the truck with him and got it fixed very efficiently. No problems since. I have Local Garage Door Company's sticker displayed prominently on the inside of my garage door now and they will absolutely be my go-to service provider from now on.
