They had a huge TV in the middle of the dining room and looked like an amazing sports bar which also had really good food. We had the fried deviled eggs, Jack Daniel's Burgers, and wings. The Jack Daniel's sauce was to die for! Also the shoe lace French fries were an excellent touch along side the mouth watering burgers they put out. During our Tennessee trip, we stopped by Local Goat for lunch and ordered: - Deep Fried Devil Eggs ($10), which was made with Panko breaded eggs, candied bacon, sriracha, green onions. Tasted like rubber. Would not recommend. - Half order of Onion Rings ($8), which came with fire-roasted jalapeno ranch. The onion rings were huge, which I liked because you can actually taste the onion. The ranch went well with it, but I did not taste the jalapeno. - Shrimp & Grits ($22), which had jumbo Gulf shrimp, bacon, spinach, mushrooms, caramelized onions, stone ground cheese grits, sriracha. Shrimps were meaty and the dish was flavorful. - Teriyaki Kabobs ($15 -- lunch menu price), which had teriyaki marinated tenderloin, fried rice, steamed broccoli. This places is AMAZING and honestly worth the 45 min wait that we had. We were particularly hungry on this day after a day out in the park fly fishing. We started with the steak nachos which were great (only complaint is I would have liked a little more nacho sauce. we then each had the hot honey chicken sandwhich (add pimento cheese) and boy was this sandwhich good - the combination of spice and sweet was perfect. This is the best place in the whole area. Top of the list on where to go eat at any time. Pretty large place on the inside and it was fast getting in with a reservation that you need to make. Everyone was super nice and friendly. Staff to the waiters. The waiter knew the menu well and gave us good recommendations on what to eat. I got the ribs and my wife got the meatloaf. Both were delicious and well cooked. I'm a foodie and have tried 3 different types of ribs this week. For the win is the local goat for sure. We kept passing by this place and wondered why it was always packed. The decor is amazing. The staff is very attentive. I suggest getting there early!!! Our waiter was very good in suggesting our entrees since this was our first time. He explained to us how everything is made in house and fresh daily. We had the burgers and they were all that he said they would be. The meat was so full of flavor and the condiments were definitely cut and made that day. The keypad dipping sauces tasted like nothing I've had before. It was so good that we came back the next day and had lunch. The fried greens tomatoes are a must for an appetizer. Amazing food and service! This place does as much of their menu from locally sourced ingredients as possible, which resulted in some fresh and tasty eats. We arrived about 20 minutes before close, but they happily seated us with absolutely no issue. Our server greeted us quickly and explained the concept of the restaurant with a lot of care and focus. Sometimes you can feel the fact that servers have a script they're required to get through. However, our server was excited to connect and share information he cared about. Very cool! I opted for the flame-grilled salmon option, and chose the garlic mashed potatoes and the stone ground cheese grits. The salmon was perfectly cooked and super moist. I also loved the two sides, which were both popping with flavor. The portion was hearty, so I was able to take to-go containers back to the hotel. I also appreciated the fact that we showed up sweaty messes after spending the day at Dollywood and were accepted with open arms. It's rare to find a place with such lovely food that does it without pretension. Bonus points for the fact that the server brought me so many glasses of ice water. What a find! While visiting friends in Sevierville, we had lunch at The Local Goat in Pigeon Forge and were so glad we did. This restaurant isn't like the tourist fair along Parkway. This is a scratch made menu with delicious options and an extensive full bar. We started with fried deviled eggs and stuffed piquillo peppers. Both were absolutely delicious. Peppers were sweet and goat cheese filling was tart, with balsamic reduction to round out the deliciousness. Deep fried deviled eggs were lightly battered and filling was like egg salad, light and delicious. I enjoyed the Pimiento Cheese Cheese burger that has a delicious bacon jam and grilled onions as toppings. Hand cut fries were so good and the burger is huge, shareable and delish! MDP had the Fettucine Rocco, which was so fresh and there was tons of it. Warm lava cake and red velvet cheesecake for dessert - both rich and delicious. My family and I was visiting Pigeon Forge for the weekend and I looked to Yelp for a family restaurant that we would all enjoy and the Local Goat was unanimously agreed upon due to their farm to table and local products used in their restaurant. We were all pleased with our meals. We all had a hamburger with the fries. I love real potato fries versus frozen and fried French fries. When I bit into my burger I could immediately tell this was fresh food. The thickness of the patty and the veggies topped on along with the bun were all in alignment with each other! My burger was cooked as requested and juicy on the inside. My fries were just the right amount of crispy without any sogginess to them. For dessert had their bread pudding and crème brûlée. Bread pudding was awesome but the top coating on the brûlée was a little charred giving the sugar a burnt taste. Overall the meals and desserts were good. There was quite a wait here of 45 mins due to this being a tourist spot so try not to come too hungry as there is definitely a wait. Our server was very pleasant but he took a lot of time in between table visits as he had to service other tables that had a large amount of people and we was a table of 5.
