Great off the beaten path hole in the wall family owned restaurant. After seeing some price gouging going on in the parkway, we decided to stop in for lunch on a saturday. It is on the second level across the street from the villages. We were greeted and promptly seated. The menu is your typical sports bar fare. I noticed alot of positive reviews for their burgers but opted for the 1/4 Lb south of the border hot dog not only was this dog delicious it was pretty darn big and it came with fresh French fries. The unique thing about the chili was that it had beans in it which I am not typically used to but it complimented the chili and diced onions well. The only downside was that it didn't come with cheese. I also ordered a Sierra Nevada citrus wheat ale pint and it was ice cold and hit the spot. My wife ordered a hot turkey sandwich and our daughter oredered a personal cheese pizza all were great according to my wife and daughter. Our waiter was very cordial and quick. The bison/elk burger was very good. I had them add mushrooms and Swiss and that took it to the next level. The French fries had a very good seasoning on them, had skin on them and a nice outside texture and fluffy interior. The beans had great flavor but did not stay warm very long. The space is inviting and we ate on the balcony to people watch those on the street. They seemed to be down servers but dinner did not take long to get to the table. If you're looking for a different kind of burger, I recommend checking them out. read more

The host was very friendly and seated us right away. My husband and I ordered unsweetened tea and our granddaughter ordered half sweet/half unsweetened. Apparently they don't know how to make unsweetened tea because it looked like colored water and tasted like water. Our granddaughter's was fine so the sweetened must have been made correctly...with actual tea!! I asked the server if I could get a diet instead and she brought it. My husband and I split the Classic burger with fries. They split the burger in the kitchen for us. It was delicious and the fries were awesome!! We decided to try Mountain Edge for dinner. Parking is challenging and sometimes pricey but you then have access to lots of other activities in Gatlinburg. We were promptly seated and a little disappointed by the menu. It is quite limited with burgers, a few sandwiches, a very salads. My bacon cheeseburger was good. The service was courteous and prompt. Drink sizes are large with free refills. The seating was somewhat uncomfortable but the decor was comfortable. There are sports channels on clustered TVs. read more

The food was actually pretty good. The chicken sandwich had hints of sweetness which was really good. Their fries are crispy and they give you a great amount. The burger was decent. The vibe was very relaxed and not over the tope like the rest of downtown, which was refreshing. Our server, Dylan, was absolutely amazing and I want to give him a big shout out. We were hungry and cold and this was the nearest place we found. We were all pretty irritated at this point so just picked the closest place and walked in. Upon entering there's a sign saying to place your name on the board for seating. You have servers running back and forth between both sides of the dining room. We placed our name on the list and were seated soon after. Seating was a bit cramped between two other tables in a corner which made it hard to get in and out. Service was good! Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Food: Average and sort of expensive for what you get! Girls got the baked potato with side of soup and hubs and I got the 1/2 sandwich with cup of soup. I chose the broccoli cheese soup with ham and cheese sandwich, hubs got the chicken chili soup with ham and cheese sandwich. Both soups were good but you get very little. This was the best place we ate at on our trip to Tennessee. The burgers were amazing. You get the choice of beef or bison. My picky kids even loved the food. The service was wonderful. Great restruant! I sat at the bar and got a cider and chicken sandwhich, both were delicious. Several servers and bartenders swung by during that time and each were polite and friendly. The restruant is much bigger than I initially thought and I will def try to swing by again when I can. This wasn't our first choice as the other restaurant nearby was closed, so we chanced it here. We arrived and were immediately seated. It looked like their hours on the website wasn't accurate as we got there after 4:30 and were still seated. The restaurant was also pretty slow perhaps due to the inaccurate hours on Yelp and google. They have a small selection of beer and a big selection of sandwiches and some burgers. The pizzas looked good, but I opted for their club. It was okay, as I wish the bread was a little softer but nothing to complain about. Overall, the girl was a good waitress and the food was okay. I wanted to try this place out since I've never been. Well, I wasn't impressed. Service wasn't that good, friendly but not good. Took a while to get waited on and order also took a while to get on the table. Had to ask for refills which you shouldn't ever have to at a restaurant. Food was average at best, maybe a little less. Prices are way too high for diner type food and you can go any where to get burgers. I got the tram burger which was a cheese burger with bacon, picked and onion. The bacon had a lot of fat in it. The positive thing is you can sit outside to look out and see some of Gatlinburg. Inside of the restaurant is neat with the ski type feel. read more

When we walked in we were greeted by a kind but very understaffed staff who asked us to mark our names on the chalkboard as we waited. The wait wasn't bad at all for that time of the day (only 25 minutes) and the service was great considering how flooded they were at the moment. The prices, especially for the burger looked ridiculous but I liked the idea of the chili burger. My brother tried ordering the pizza but they were out so he had the same thing. The fries were amazing, but the burger itself was over cooked and unseasoned. The patty was gray on the inside and the chili had no flavor, so we couldn't finish it. Super rude start to the experience. Walked in and were immediately told to put our names on the board and we were looking at a 45 minute or so wait. I get it that they may be understaffed, but there's no reason to be rude. Once seated the waiter was attentive and friendly. The avalanche club was great, except I never got the sauce that I asked for on the side. The bison burger was gross and tasted like it came out of a freezer. The mozz sticks were good however the sauce was not marinara it was more of a tomato paste. They do have cherrywine which was actually a delicious soda drink. read more

This place has excellent service and excellent food! I had the Buffalo burger, it's huge and so delicious! My daughter had the Elk & Buffalo burger (mixed) and she absolutely loved it. The hubs (a chef/grill master) decided to get the basic beef hamburger with bacon and he could not believe how awesome it tasted (and he grills a mean burger). He got the elk and bison burger but said he didn't really taste the elk at all (he eats bison pretty regularly). After finding out that our first restaurant choice for dinner was closed for the day, we decided to have dinner at the Mountain Edge Grill located on the second level of Baskins Square. The atmosphere inside has the feel of a rustic ski lodge with a fireplace and decorated with mounted game heads, ski trail maps, photos, and ski gear from various ski areas around the country. I saw some trail maps from my neck of the woods of NH including Wildcat, Bretton Woods, and Tenney Mtn. The chair in the front lobby is made of old Elan skis and there are life size stuffed bears too. The TVs in the main dining room show extreme downhill skiing and mountain biking stunts played in a loop. The ski movie reminded me of the Warren Miller movies I see each year. The menu offerings include sandwiches, half pound burgers,hot dogs, chicken tenders, pizza, fries, salads, soup, sides, and Pepsi fountain drinks. A kids menu (Bunny Slope) menu is also offered. The prices are fair, items priced under $11. My friend ordered a Diet Pepsi ($2.20) and the American Classic burger ($7.49) and substituted the fries for a side salad ($1.99 more). The half pound burger was pretty big and pretty good, topped with lettuce, tomato, and onion. The side salad had chopped/shredded lettuce, peppers, onions, shredded cheese, and dressing. I ordered an ice water and started out with a crock of Signature Soup ($5.59) which was a White Chicken Chili with tortilla chips and cheese on the side. The soup was a feel good winter soup, which was served very hot, mostly chicken broth with white meat chicken and beans, not spicy at all. For dinner, I had the Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich Platter ($9.19) served with fries, dill pickle chips, and slaw. The sandwich was good which had dense shredded pork mixed with a sweet BBQ sauce served on a big soft toasted bun. The fries were fried golden and crispy, but on the salty side. The shredded cole slaw was creamy and sweet. The service was decent for the most part. All of the food was brought out at the same time. However, before we were about to eat our food, we realized they forgot the utensils and napkins at our table and we had to ask for some. The check for 2 people came out to just under $30 with tax and before tip. read more

We visited this gem in the afternoon on Thursday, August 18th, 2022 taking a 3 minute walk there from Ripley's Aquarium. We had a party of 4 children and 4 adults. We were seated quickly and served up excellent tasting food. Hotdogs, burgers, fries, waffle chips and pizza were spot on. The kids cleaned their plates. The service was great. They have a good beer selection as well. Try it next time you go to Gatlinburg. read more

This place is hidden from the main strip. We stopped in for lunch as everywhere else had a very long wait. Our party of 9 was seated after about a 30 min wait. My only complaint is that the host would not seat us until our entire party arrived - he was not understanding that one of the moms in our group was standing outside with a screaming toddler. So she had to bring screaming toddler into the establishment before they would seat us I feel like they could have made an exception. He was also extremely rude about the whole thing. Our server was great and very attentive. He made excellent recommendations regarding food and the bar menu. The food was good as well. We would eat here again but it is NOT family friendly in my opinion. read more

Hubby and I ate here for the first time in 2012 and decided it was the best burger we'd ever had. Came back 10 years later and it still holds up as the best burgers we've ever eaten. No fluff.
