To Whom it may concern, I arrived and checked in on the iPad at about 5:45pm on 7/13/26 for a 2nd follow up for a work-related injury. I never received a link, so I assumed I did not need one. The receptionist, whose name I did not get, decided to wait 2 hours before saying anything about a link. However, in those 2 hour she had time to sit on her phone with someone and complain about other patients and about a man she is seeing, whom she thinks is seeing someone else, but she's still going to see him, but she is not sleeping in the bed with him. I do not appreciate the fact that she had time to talk but she could not complete the duties of her job. I do not appreciate my time being wasted, especially since I live over 45 minutes away. I would appreciate it if management could review employee phone privileges during work hours, as excessive personal use appears to be interfering with essential job responsibilities. read more

ERICA D. was friendly, knowledgeable and amazing. Made and online appointment and took my husband in for cold/flu, symptoms. They first tested for COVID & 17 other viruses which came back negative. ERICA D. gave him a thorough exam, listened to his lungs, even found wax buildup in his ears. He's a cardiac patient and susceptible to pneumonia but before I could ask, she ordered a chest ex-ray. Because of the ex-ray, he was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and prescribed steroids and antibiotics. I value how thorough she was and how she listened to our concerns and symptoms, which enabled her to diagnose him accurately. I recently visited On Dmed (new name as of 9-2023) for xrays of my knee to confirm whether I had a re-broken kneecap. I did not, was at On Dmed from entrance to discharge with a disc of the x-rays after intake and 4 x-rays done by their on-site radiologist in 2 1/2 hours on a holiday which is not too bad. This facility is in network with my insurance so the co-pay - $50 - was considerably lower than that of a hospital-affiliated urgent aid which I believe would have been $400 to commence the process of treatment. Before considering urgent aid care it would be a good idea to find out which local facility is in network and which bills at an ER rate and confirm with your insurance. It would also be wise to learn which healthcare situation On Dmed can help, and which are better handled by a hospital-based urgent aid or traditional ER. These are posted on their webpage, or just grab a magnet at check in when you arrive. I would also set up an account if you wish to utilize On Dmed ahead of time. It take a bit of time to do this, but will save you time once you arrive. Appointments can be set up on their webpage as well. I arrived ahead of time and they did have patients ahead of me, but I was admitted promptly. Bring a book just in case. All on-site personnel were great. When I was discharged I was prescribed a medication which, after reading the patient information sheet, was not workable with my healthcare issues as a totality, which, of course, On Dmed did not have access to (this is where a hospital-based Urgent Aid or ER would have the edge). I took Advil instead of the medication prescribed and that is okay. The main person who coordinated my care was a nurse practitioner and the person who issued the radiology report was a radiologist. I am presuming that there is a physician affiliated and in contact with this practice, but I did not meet them. Not a bad experience. I received a confirmation of my healthcare need, was discharged with papers and a disc of the x-rays should I need follow-up care, the timeframe was reasonable, and my insurance to date has fully covered all. Not sure if I will return there but if a healthcare need coincides with what On Dmnd can offer, perhaps I shall. read more

I had to visit there twice within the last six weeks. I broke two toes the care and kindness was beyond my expectation. I had an issue last week with my breathing my doctor wanted me to go to a urgent care ASAP for EEG. I was not sure if I should go to hospital or local urgent care. Just go ahead and keep driving until you find yourself a Midwest express. Wait time horrible. Staff too young from the front desk to the nurses/techs just immature. Came in on Friday got labs I was told there would be a turn around time of 2 days. Here it is a week later with no word. I give them a call only to find out that there's still no results and possibly not even submitted yet. Nothing about this gives "Urgent" ....you've been warned. read more

Thanks to Nurse Practitioner, Crystal, and the assistant, Pam for their knowledge and expertise on helping me with my ear issue. Both expressed concern for my problem, listened intently, asked pertinent question, and asked if I felt comfortable during the ear irrigation process. We were quite fortunate to not have a large crowd on this day but I don't believe the service would have been diminished at all. Keep up the good work! Came in because I was honestly feeling like I was dying. Wait wasn't that bad at all. Staff were amazing, friendly and I tested positive for COVID and was really dehydrate. Despite closing at 8p, they allowed me and my boyfriend to stay until our ride showed up at 8:30p without problems. Super friendly folks. When I had an IV put in, I became ghost white and almost passed out, but they handled it awesome and were so happy to see me doing good after all was done! Went for a covid test. Was given full respiratory test without clear explanation of what that meant. Got charged $750 after health insurance discounts. I am the stupid one I suppose for assuming it would be anything but a scam of a clinic, but alas, a scam is precisely what it is. I went to the On Dmed in Homewood, Il. on 3-16-23, I had a bad sore throat and pain in my left ear. they did throat, culture, Covid test, and nasal culture. I told the nurse practitioner that I had been exposed to strep throat. I got a call on the 17th that all my tests were negative. I still felt awful on the 20th so I returned it to the urgent care. I asked for a copy of my results, and found out I was positive for strep. The nurse practitioner clearly did not do the job he is paid to do! I would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

I've been to this establishment 3 times in the last year. All of a sudden they can't see me because of 2 of my chronic conditions that I've always had. I was directed to go back to the hospital. However, upon contacting my PCP (who referred me to urgent care) again, she sent me to a different urgent care. I was not only seen right away, but they wondered if this establishment has any medical professionals that are properly licensed. Furthermore, how does one consider themselves a medical establishment and yet, aren't familiar with basic terminology??? Thankfully, I do have the time and patience to file a complaint formally. The reason for urgent care is to avoid the emergency room. This Homewood , Illinois location charges more than the emergency room. I work a federal job and have good insurance. My insurance company would not even pay they cost for a Nurse Practitioner and unskilled nurse maybe. The cost of health care is outrage but to take advantage of an urgent but not emergency health issue for a buck. I will never go to this office in Homewood again. They also are allowing maybe a Medical assistant to do services that should be provided by a skilled professional. When my primary care doctor is not available; I will stick to Midwest Express clinics. The health care at Midwest is good you can get fast and affordable care for the insured and uninsured. read more

Having a fever and hacking cough over the weekend, I didn't know if it was the flu or pneumonia. I called my primary care doctor, but there were no available appointments so I looked up nearest urgent care facilities. This one had more positive reviews so I went there. Every aspect was positive, professional and efficient-from receptionist to medical staff. Lab work done at facility so proper diagnosing of illness and treatment was given immediately. A print out of the Summary Report was thorough and appreciated. Report/lab work I authorized to be sent to my PCP. I highly recommend this facility. read more

The only reason I am giving one star is because I had to and also because of the nurses and 1 doctor/NP. I came into the office Monday 09/14/2020 in regards to UTI symptoms. The NP that seen me which was Christina seem like she was in another world and not really listening to my concerns. After the initial exam, Christina then prescribed me Macrobid BID for 5 days which was not a normal regimen for a UTI which I questioned as well due to I work pharmacuticals. After completing the 5 days of treatment my symptoms not only never improved but became worse. I then called the office in regards to how I'm feeling and NP Dominique advised me to go to my primary care other than trying to help me in any other way and prescribed me fluconazole to "alleviate" the discomfort. I then called again today and spoke with NP Martel and he was very helpful and prescribed me some different antibiotics as I requested before to help with my symptoms. This company needs to really have their NP's trained to better assist with patient concerns and not ignoring them when they have an issue. I really appreciate Flora, Talisa, and Martel for taking that extra step in making sure I am well. I give them 5 stars!!! read more
