The business owner responded stating that a "thorough investigation" was conducted, yet no attempt was made to contact me or verify my identity before publicly dismissing my experience. Calling an investigation thorough while not even asking for my name is misleading at best. That said, I will not be providing my name or additional identifying details. The plumber who was sent to my home behaved aggressively and unprofessionally, and I do not feel safe sharing personal information that could expose me to potential retaliation or physical harm. Whether or not this individual is currently employed by the company does not change my lived experience at the time of service. Dismissing a customer's concerns on a technicality (rather than addressing the behavior described) raises further concerns about accountability and how complaints are handled. I spent $250 for them to fix my toilet, the problem that was occurring prior to them coming out, is still happening and now they want to charge me an extra $150. Don't waste your time or money. They will keep making you pay more and the problem will never be fixed. I appreciate your response, but I want to clarify why this situation is frustrating from my perspective. I initially called because my toilet was continuously running. Your technician came out, diagnosed the issue, and recommended specific repairs, which I agreed to in good faith. I trusted that the problem was properly identified and paid $250 for that service. However, the exact same issue persisted immediately after the repair. That tells me the root cause was not correctly diagnosed the first time. Now being told that an additional repair is needed--at an additional cost--feels unfair, as I already paid for what I was told would fix the problem. As a customer, I rely on your expertise to properly diagnose the issue upfront. When the original problem remains unresolved, it's reasonable to expect some level of accountability rather than being asked to pay again. At a minimum, I would expect either: The follow-up repair to be covered, or A significant reduction in cost given that the initial repair did not resolve the issue I simply want the issue fixed without feeling like I'm paying twice for the same unresolved problem. read more

I hired LSP from Yelp for fixing the toilet-clogging/water-backup. A total of 6 repair attempts (Feb-Sep 2023) and the issue kept recurring after 1-2 months from the repair date. The service was not fulfilled as agreed even after 8 months and we had to engage a second plumber to fix the issue. No camera footage to show the clogging locations. First a tech came and did hydro-jet for $600. Problem recurred after a month. The plumber Art told us he will install liner for 23 feet under the house to fix the issue for $5070. He recommended liner is better over replacing with ABS pipes. The problem existed right after liner installation. He went ahead and started doing spot repairs for the pipe under the house and started extracting money for each spot repair for a total of $1900 (total $7570 pocketed). Problem persisted. By now its 8 months have passed, and recurring leaking of human waste under the crawl space caused elevated level of mold, the repair of mold cost us $3450. He came back and told us the next remedy is to install liner (note: the solution is still not "replace with ABS pipes") for the pipe outside the house going to the city which is another $6500 (that would make the total $14070). This also would not have solved the problem because the root cause was in the collapsed connection that could not be lined and improperly lined liner itself with bumps. Their root cause identification of the problem kept changing and they kept extracting money regardless of the warranty of each work. At this juncture, we sensed lack of integrity/foul play by LSP and engaged a second plumber to fix the issue which cost us $4600. The second plumber fixed the issue on 10/2023 (only the pipe under the house) and the problem never recurred until now. In addition to the inadequate repairs, Art was unprofessional, verbally abusive, and jumped over the gate (trespassed) when no one was home to do snaking. Till dated LSP has not accepted the accountability of the wrongdoing of Art to us or refunded us the money. Imagine 8 months of stress and mold exposure with a little baby at home. read more

What an ordeal. While LSP was able to solve my initial problem (clogged kitchen drain) it took 4 visits over 3 days, one plumber left stains on our carpet and the last crew didn't complete the cleanup correctly. (Also, LSP offers discounts for positive reviews, which likely explains their ratings.) We had a plumber come on day 1 to snake the drain, and he's in the kitchen for 2.5 hours as snake was stuck in the pipe. It's the end of the day, so he says he's going to return the next morning with additional equipment, leaving our sink without an attached drain pipe. The following day, he doesn't show up for the appointment at 10, 12, then 2 PM. I try to call LSP, but they can't be reached. The manager then informs me the plumber will return by 5, but, if not, they'll send someone else. At 5:00 another plumber arrives, the first guy having completely ditched us, and he doesn't know the situation, attempts to get the snake out for about 5 minutes, then leaves. He also left greasy stains on the hallway carpet where he removed his line from the auger. On the third day a team comes to work on the problem. They want to cut a hole in the wall to replace the pipe and remove the drain, or a hydro flush (both options are much more expensive, of course). They do the flush, remove the snake and put it back together. EXCEPT they didn't reinstall the dishwasher correctly (see picture) and the screws used to mount our dishwasher to the counter are now stripped and can't be removed to fix the batting that wraps dishwasher. Giving 2 stars since they did manage to fix the initial problem they created after much time and money. Of the four plumbers we interacted with, two were good, and two made things worse. I now have to figure out how to fix my dishwasher so we can use it and clean my greasy carpet. read more

My husband and I can't express how upset we are with this company. We called this company up for our clogged sink about 2 weeks ago. They quickly sent over their plumber to resolve our issues. However, he did not have all his equipments and had to borrow our water hose. Once the job was done, he was not able to detach our water hose from his equipment. He promised to bring it back the next day, which did not happen. We called the office a couple of days after that asking for it back. And they have kept telling us that someone will bring back our hose. And yet nobody has stopped by. After calling the office on multiple occasions and keep getting the same response from the dispatcher that someone is coming with our water hose and still we don't have it back as of today, we concluded this company is not trustworthy. We do NOT recommend doing business with this establishment! What a bunch of liars! Then they lied to Yelp HQ claiming I threatened them with my negative review and asked them for payment. That says a lot.. about this business values and culture. DO NOT RECOMMEND. RUN, don't walk away. -- original review posted back in October 2022 -- Do not trust anybody at this company.  Filter out and read carefully the 1-star reviews from real life customers' experiences in dealing with LSP.  1-star for Luis on Yelp chat was helpful navigating lots and lots of miscommunications.... But that was about it and the beginning of a week long nightmare that ended up costing me $2500 with no work done and no pipe leak fixed.  Day 1: water incident happened while I was gone the whole day.  I came home to a wet ceiling and water dripping from my garage ceiling. Day 2: John the supervisor, who's also a certified plumber came out to give me an estimate to fix my pipe leak in the garage.  Instead he recommended his Buddy of 20-years, Carlos at Xact restoration to take "good care of me" Note: LSP works with 2 other restoration companies. But John gets "free" services from Xact, do he highly recommended Xact. But after what transpired in the past 2 weeks, I believe John gets his 20% referral fee -- as what commonly happens in with contractors "working with each other"Day 3: I get a call from AJ asking me about another project to do -- that I mentioned to John.  Way to upsell.  Ugh you haven't even fixed the pipe leak and you already getting greedy? Day 4: by now I've been dealing with FIVE different  vendors, all because of John and his buddy Carlos at Xact. That evening I found an honest guy who was shocked I've been left without running water for all week.  Day 5: got rid of all greedy vendors.  Met with the honest contractor that I hired on the spot. Leak fixed and I had running water the next day on day 6... finally!  Is it so hard to find ONE 100% honest, fairly priced and trustworthy contractor? So... John the supervisor & plumber is fully updated on what went down with Xact.... He has not returned any of my texts nor my calls --- after he so highly recommend his buddy Carlos who's the owner of Xact restoration. Conclusion: if it looks too good to be true.... It ***is*** too good to be true.  Trust your instinct.  I believed and trusted John... but sadly  I was proven wrong.  It's very disheartening when contractors take advantage of people facing crisis situations.  I was taken on some greedy contractors joy ride and paid the $$$$$price.  First and last time.  Lesson learnt. read more

I contacted LSP for broken hot water machine under my sink. I appreciated how easy the communication was. They are text enabled which made booking very easy and the technician sent a photo of himself which made me feel safe opening the door ! I also appreciated that the consultation was free. However, he didn't really seem to know much about how to actually fix the device. He said that he always recommends just replacing it because there's no "reset" button or on off switch lol... exactly sir, if there was I could have done that. But he was honest he didn't know how to fix and just recommended I buy a new one. So I appreciated he didn't waste my time pretending to tinker. Then he told me it would be $150 to "install". It's literally just something you have to change the hoses and plug in... so I laughed a bit in my mind. And then I got a quote from them via email that said the install would be $250!! Wowza these guys must make a killing on people who don't know any better. The whole install will take 15 minutes tops and that includes taking the new machine out of the box (which only costs $100 on sale btw). So overall I think they're way too expensive. I guess I was too quick to give them 5 stars. About a week after their $650 (overpriced) install of our pressure regulator valve installation, I noticed a hair line leak in the pipe adjacent to where they did the work. When I called to state as such, I was assured they would take care of it. At the same time I told them the pressure was still very high at first, then it'd back down to "normal". They said, not sure problem, we will send someone out. They did send someone the next day only to try amd charge me another $400 to fix the pipe in which they cracked. I explained that it wasn't leaking before they touched it and now it's leaking. I can understand old piping things happen, but to gauge me again with an overpriced quote is so disrespectful amd rude, they definitely lost a customer. They assured me a manager would call to discuss "a deal" that might be struck, but they never did. With so many plumbers in LA, I'd recommend price comparing to this company amd know they use a call center for dispatch and are obviously needing to cover their overhead and make.profit. Highly recommend going with another company than this one. While their techs are awesome, they don't control pricing and it's obvious their a money making machine and if I can help another home owner save money amd go with a company that stands behind their work, then it'll make me feel better for spending the over priced valve replacement and time I've spent on another profit seeking priority first company. I'll go with a customer first company and while rare, in LA there are many who priorities are customers, repeat business and referrals that matter more than profit as the first priority. We recently hired Local Service Pros to try to figure out why our hot water wasn't working. They came over multiple times, told us to change our valves and ended up charging us over $1000. The problem was never fixed. When we asked for a refund for some of the work, the only way they would consider giving us any money back is if we did even more work with them and spent at least another $1000. But they said even with all of that, they couldn't guarantee the problem could be fixed. For landlords, I am flagging that not only do they suggest overpriced services, their technicians will also inappropriately contact tenants to pressure them to accept these services. I'm writing this review specifically for Louis Serrano, who is not only an amazing plumber, but also went way beyond what was expected of him. After years of horrible water pressure in our apartment, regular breakages of our cheap, off-brand kitchen sink spray nozzles, and an incredibly slow tankless water heater situation, our landlord called LSP Plumbing. Before Louis, we were running gallons and gallons of water for about 10 minutes just to get the water temp heated up to be able to take a shower. It also meant our clothes weren't getting very clean, because even on the hot setting, the water in the washing machine was never hot. Louis showed up on time and ready to work. First Louis descaled our tankless water heater, which no one had ever done in the four years of our living in the apartment. He said it is supposed to be done annually. He then custom ordered a spray nozzle from the actual manufacturer of the sink. Furthermore, Louis changed out the cartridge underneath the shower handle assembly. The upshot of it all was that when he left, the water pressure was unbelievably strong. It was like a whole new shower experience. Also, the water throughout the house heated up very quickly. If you want a great plumber, call LSP Plumbing and ask specifically for Louis Serrano. Truly, he's the best plumber I've ever worked with. read more

Well here I am again. I have used LSP in the past for my water heater replacement back in September so, when my kitchen sink backed up, of course they were the first company I called. Turns out, I needed the old Galvanized drain pipe in my kitchen wall replaced because it was completely block from 67 years of grease and everything else build up. See photos below. I had a leaking valve on my water main, causing low pressure and significant erosion to my hill side. After requesting a plumber through the Yelp site, one of the first to respond was LSP Plumbing. They were very persistent in keeping communication with me and promised a technician could arrive within the next few hours. As promised, their technician James arrived and promptly assessed the issue. After only a few minutes of negotiating a rate which seemed fair, James went right to work on cutting the line and replacing the valve. He had to leave only once to obtain parts, but within a couple hours, the problem was fixed and the workmanship appeared quite professional. James was professional, courteous and efficent. These guys are amazing. We had an issue with the pilot not on and the first plumber that came out had no clue what he was doing. He was with Payless Water Heaters. The Payless plumber Daniel did not even know that we needed a lighter to turn on the PILOt! How stupid can you be as a plumber. He then quoted me $899 and $2499 to fix the issue. Gabriel from Local Service Pro was honest and quick. He showed me what needed to be done and fixed it in 20 minutes. 5 Million stars for Gabriel for being honest and educating me on what needs to be done. They will be my default plumber moving forward. BEWARE! This company is a scam! My wife messaged them to inquire about their cost for a sewer line cleaning - they said they had a $79 coupon so she scheduled them to come the next day between 11am-1pm. They showed up at 10:20am. I told the service tech that he's early and that I still needed clear out any brush/shrubs so that there would be no trouble accessing the clean out. He said no problem, he could come back later but then mentioned the charge was $150, which was not what we were told prior. He kept saying that is the charge but finally he agreed to call his dispatch to get it settled. While waiting, I cleared all the brush to the sewer clean out. After 20 or 30 minutes, dispatch then called us to tell us the tech is saying that the clean out is difficult to access because of trees and/or shrubs and that there's an extra fee for that. I explained that there is a clear path to the sewer clean out and nothing blocking the access. She asked that we text her photos. After yet another 30 minutes they finally agreed that they would only charge $79. The tech started to snake the line and claimed he found the problem spot which he said he could not fix or clear out. He then ran a camera and said this is the spot that is preventing the snake from working. We would need to repair that part of the sewer line and would provide us with an estimate.  So, he left with our sewer line still clogged and full of water. The estimate came in quickly. It was $2,500 just to repair that one spot in the sewer line and they would apply the $79 if we did the work with them. I was reading some reviews to see if this company could be trusted because it felt like it was a scam from the minute they said it would cost $150 after quoting us $79. I came across a review where something similar happened. The tech snaked out then sewer line, said it couldn't be fixed and told them they needed to spend more $ on something else to fix the problem. They then went to Home Depot and rented their own sewer line snake and fixed the problem in an hour. I decided to try the same thing. I ran over to Home depot and rented a medium-size sewer snake for $59 and cleared the line in under 15 minutes. This means the tech did not even try to clear out our line, only to get us to spend more $ on repairs with their company!! read more

This company is not the worst I've ever dealt with, but not by much. We hired Local Service Pros to install a new tankless water heater and a new water pressure regulator for my mother in law's home. They called me the day of the install to say the tankless water heater would not be viable because of city code and we had to use a regular tank. We ignorantly approved the work not knowing any better. It turns out the tankless water heater we wanted would have been fine to instal despite their misinformation. When it came time to do the job they installed a new regulator right next to the old one instead of replacing it. In doing so, they killed our decorative bush by cutting it at the roots. (See photos) When I came back to inspect the work I found our kitchen cabinet had been broken, the bush cut, and the regulator job done incorrectly. When I called the company to speak with management I was instead put on a three way call with the tech who had done the work. The tech of course defended his work and stated that he put the regulator where he put it because the house didn't have one. I'll note that the old regulator was less than two feet away in a location that was standard. (See photos) Over the course of several weeks, I called and emailed multiple times to speak with management to which I was consistently put off saying they would call me later. As of now (several months later) they have done absolutely nothing to remedy the situation and still haven't called me back. I have absolutely no issue with accidents and honest mistakes. I wouldn't have had a problem with the bush being killed if it needed to happen, or accidental damage to our kitchen cabinet. I do however have an issue with a company that will not stand by their work or make an attempt to remedy the above issues especially when due to negligence. Bottom line, if you are in desperate need for a plumber and have no where else to turn, take your chance. If you however have the time to find a better company then do so. We noticed the hallway carpet was wet, suspected a pipe leak in our walls and my husband found Local Service Pro to come out for the fix last Friday. Alex came out, put two holes in our downstairs ceiling, two holes in our upstairs hallway, couldn't find the leak, scheduled to come back on Monday and left for the day. We lived with the leak all weekend. On Monday, he showed up with another guy, put another hole in the bathroom wall, looked up and down. Said the toilet was the culprit, detached the toilet, announced the mystery was solved, charged us $800 and left. Guess what? The toilet wasn't the source of the leak! We had another group come out who found the source of the leak for only $250 and didn't put any additional holes in our walls, they used a moisture meter. So we are out $800, have multiple holes in our dry wall in multiple parts of our house and a detached toilet, all thanks to Local Service Pro. We literally paid them $800 to make our situation even worse. Now they're not returning our messages to request they at least fix the toilet they detached so we can at least have a functioning toilet. I'm a mom with two small children and to say I'm mad that these people came in, didn't solve the problem and took $800 from me after making the problem even worse is an understatement.
