I'm very excited to have LTT in my building and very impressed with my initial experience. Their Chicken Tenders are legit! Fresh, battered in house, huge & juicy. Size does matter.....especially with chicken . I ordered two sauces, the ranch which is freshly made, and the sweet sour sauce is great with a nice kick . The Trio Dip (queso, salsa & bean dip) is equally amazing. Not pictured is the pecan pie that was delicious and not too sweet, just right . I only came to this place because I was told they had good food but was also warned about the bad customer service. The ambiance was ok but they had portable AC units because the AC was out. Me and my partner were there for lunch/dinner. When we first entered I was searched by security for weapons, I didn't know it was a club, but if this is how you keep the establishment safe then, ok.... IMO if you're gonna search patrons ask for Identification as well. There were 4 hostesses at the podium, 3 talking and laughing and one sitting down with her back turned to us. We waited for a min or two and she never turned around. I then said excuse me, do we seat ourselves? The host lady turns around with an attitude and so no, hold on. Didn't greet us, didn't apologize for the wait or anything. Took us to a table with three chairs right by the portable AC unit and She walked away with no introduction. My partner was uncomfortable with the seating and wanted to Move to a booth, we waited for a server and she never came until I asked another waitress to be moved. She had a freaking fitted baseball cap on with the biggest eyelashes I've ever seen. Gave me so much attitude for no reason at all. I just don't get! It's Sunday afternoon and this place has rude employees who don't have any kind of hospitality, customer service, server experience nor expertise on how to perform at establishment like this. I didn't waste my time nor money here. Spoke with the owner and told her she needed to speak with her staff about customer service and respect! If your staff don't want work stay HOME! Even navigation gets confused how to get there. Parking could be hard to get but was easy for us. Walked into an empty restaurant on a Friday night. Before we were sat down the guy at the front frisked my son and I for weapons. First time that's ever happened to me. The music was a bit loud for an empty space. The waitress took a few minutes to come to the table. We figured out what we wanted and the waitress told us before we ordered that we had to pay for the food before it was cooked and brought out. Thats fine we didn't mind. The restaurant has an industrial vibe. It was a bit cold but not uncomfortable. We got the food and the portions were perfect. It's definitely Louisiana inspired food. I'll begin with the positive of the experience. Our waitress was wonderful, very attentive , bubbly and positive. I'm disappointed I can't remember her name at the moment. Ambiance was cool, spacious layout, music was loud but not unbearable , nor did it make it difficult to speak with my date. Now to the most important aspect after customer service, the food. The food was subpar . I'm a northern girl now living in Atlanta ... I've learned to appreciate a good set of grits; however the grits at this location are far too thick, it almost made me feel as though I was nearly eating a grit cake. The temperature of the food was not to my standard. I prefer my food hot not lukewarm. I ordered The Worx... and unfortunately I wasn't impressed... now this may not be the outcome for someone else . The crab legs were over steamed and or grilled(however prepared) the crab meat required far too much work to scrape it out the soft leg, the salmon was over cooked and dry although it was requested to be prepared medium well. The shrimp were small....Visiting Dallas for 24 hours I was encouraged to visit this spot. Now although I made no complaints about the defects in my meal my waitress was kind enough to ask how everything was , and of course I could be nothing less than honest. She wanted to help make it right and attempted to reach out to whatever chef (Arnell) would have been the point of contact. Just too be clear I wasn't looking for a free meal; however a simple apology and acknowledgment of the error would have gone a long way. I am big on customer service; however Arnell delivered unacceptable customer service. He seemed to refuse to stop by my table to speak with me walking past my table several times. Until I finally called him out. Nonetheless , I do want to thank Chef Hunna for taking the initiative to catch me before leaving and apologize for the experience. Despite the additional feedback I could provide on the lackluster customer service from a particular chef I would hope that the feedback will be taken as a way to improve on service and remember your service before anything else is your brand. read more

The service was super slow, it took almost two hours for our waitress to take our orders. Nothing was really organized and one of the members of my party didn't get his food at all. I don't know if they need more people or what, however, as my first experience here I doubt I'd be coming back. The plus side is that it has a beautiful view of Dallas. Where do I start ...... let's go with my arrival. Google gave great directions. Then I remembered this hill used to be the spot in 1976!!! My last dinner there was 2000. It's Sunday before 10:15 Am. There is NO free parking and I'm the first person to arrive. Valet park my vehicle. Why??? The entire garage on that lower level is empty. Why can't first arrivals park in garage? The entire hill was RESERVED for Valet. Start charging Valet at 11:00. Attendant claimed there was parking down the hill yet when asked he couldn't explain where. Then he nodded as if it was in the back but shrugged his shoulders like I just don't know. Entering is reserved for the New Tenants and Tenants of course . Then the reserved valet signs. Valet once was a luxury service. At Locals it's mandated due to greed @$15.00, lack of space and over crowding. Upon entering nice but casual there was nothing luxurious on those cemented floors. The iron chairs were the WORST I have ever sat on. The seat was so short I kept pushing back to keep myself on the chair. My neice then said "These chairs are horrible " and I agreed. How does large or tall people sit in those chairs ???? It was ridiculous even for ME!!!!!! The music honestly SOUND like a Dollar Store radio. The food was eatable but NOTHING was great and an extremely long way from GREAT!!!!!!! The menu prices were acceptable and fair. I would never order anything that I ordered for Brunch again at Locals. It was NOT to "MY" liking. While eating we heard someone yelling "You're a Bad Chick". We turned to see staff approaching a table with a sign. What the hell was that for and why????? It was distracting and definitely when the customers had NO clue why their dinner time was being disrupted!!!! Did the BAD chick offer to pay for everyone a drink???? Then we asked their explanation was NOT clear. We asked if they did Birthday shouts and somehow I'm still confused. I enjoyed the people I celebrated with. It was a memorable moment!!! I hadn't seen my neice and her husband for over two years. For that, I was happy to be there and enjoyed her minute of our socializing and togetherness with friends from Chi town and family. LOCAL isn't what I expected and assumed from their ads. Advertisements are OFTEN deceiving in DFW!!!!! Local is extremely crowded and management should rethink, reconsider and revamp some things. One thing I was proud of in THAT area is EVERY ONE was accepted at LOCAL. There was NO discrimination as often witnessed, felt or reported in UPTOWN!!!!! Thanks Local for being a part of the DFW community. I pray you will receive my review as a token of love for future improvement, growth and prosperity. We sat there for 15 minutes...no waiter even looked our way. We didn't even get water. And we would be understanding if it was busy but considering they were fairly empty there was no excuse. Then we get up to leave and suddenly the staff wants to come over..something they should've done 15 minutes ago. They didn't even offer an apology. If a restaurant is going to mandate 20% gratuity they need to offer 20% gratuity worthy service. read more

First off,I want to start by saying before we walked in points were deducted because Google Maps doesn't take you to the right place it's behind the apartments so you can easily pass the restaurant. Next, we came in we came in put on a wait that's fine. When we got seated we sat there for 25 minutes not to mention I had to address about who is are server all of a sudden nobody knows anything no drinks no NOTHING. I'm asking about my server they still don't know because there is no communication.Finally find our server she doesn't even know she was but made sure she got that card for that $50 hold which I still have yet to receive! Now the food did come out fast but as we were waiting we felt a wet sensation on the side of us and what I'm referring to is the leak in the roof multiple leaks at that. I am not a fan of this restaurant at all. The owner is also extremely rude. I've eaten at this restaurant twice. First in the evening. I ordered the seafood pasta. It was not Cajun at all. Just loaded with old bay. During that visit my friend ordered wine. The glass had an odor so she had to request a new glass. The second time I went was for brunch. Absolutely not the typical crowd I would be around. I will admit the shrimp, fish and grits were good but that was it. I also order gumbo. The roux was burnt. It was not good at all. I had it taken off my bill. We also ordered a Hennymosa tower. It was good but you can tell they use extremely cheap champagne. We all had migraines by the time we got home. I live in the building and having them here has also been a huge inconvenience. When they first opened there was a shooting. The restaurant owner told me today that it was not her problem. Keep that in mind when you're visiting. That's the kind of crowd they attract. I also would not recommend living here. A lot of the residence, including myself, are trying to move because of them. It's extremely had to get in and out of the building now because of them. Our property manager gave them a huge amount of our parking so now it's even hard just getting in and out of the garage. Today I spoke to the manager about it. She doesn't care. Before she starts with her response, I absolutely ended up yelling at her and calling her "names" as she said. Either way, it's a huge disservice if you're planning on living here. The food isn't even that great in my opinion. read more

This place is the bomb diggity. Absolutely love the fish tacos! They always use super fresh fruit and veggies, the brisket sandwich and "fat" fries are my hubby's fav...if you want a swank and clean atmosphere with fast and friendly service, good drinks and bomb food...this is the place to go! Love the chicken strips too! I guess it's a family recipe they use for the breading. Ordered those to go for the kids, they said it's better than Chic-fil-a...and that's saying something! read more

This place was pretty good. Food was basic and tasted like the normal Tex mex. the location is pretty cool as it is located next to the Katy trail in Dallas. My husband, dog, and I actually stopped here to eat a little evening snack before resuming our walk. The view was nice as you get to eat while looking at the bridge. Valet parking only besides the literal only 2 parking spots that they have reserved for street parking. Seems like the most expensive item is around $40. I ordered a pasta dish not listed on the menu. Regular portion size dish. The bill came and my pasta dish was $65! How?! It wasn't even good enough to finish. This is not steakhouse quality food for any pasta dish to be that expensive. Not to mention you have to be searched to even enter the restaurant. They didn't even serve Iced Tea!
