    Lettuce Wrap
    Renee I.

First timer here! I came for happy hour with a group of friends and they love this place. I ordered the Crunchy LA and the Lettuce Wrap, and both were amazing. I think I've found my go-to sushi order because I'm still in the beginning stages. One thing that was slightly disappointing was finding out (after my entrees came out) they serve fried rice even though it's not listed on the menu. At least I know for next time. The service was just okay, nothing to shout about.

We absolutely love this place. Such a great variety of sushi to choose from! Our server, Deacon (in the bar area) is simply the best! Friendly, knowledgeable and just an awesome guy. Lovely patio dining if the weather is nice. Free parking is easy in the garage behind the restaurant. Great happy hour too! Check this place out.

I went for a girls night pre birthday dinner to the walnut hill location for the first time! Large and spacious space, the food was great we ordered a bunch of rolls, hotel Cali, cow girl, vegan hot popper and regular hot popper. Ended the night with some mochi which is the perfect amount and desert! The service was nice too! Will be back again!

Met friends for lunch. Great service. They have a week day HH prices on food & drink from open till dinner. Enjoyed itchy salmon and salad. Spicy edamame is the best.

Had a nice lunch at Blue Sushi. Nice atmosphere and large patio available. Good lunch and happy hour prices until evening. Still thought expensive for what you get. Service was very good. Excellent miso soup I highly recommend. Love sashimi salmon, but was not a fan of their sashimi truffle salmon - 5 very thin pieces without much flavor. They certainly didn't have the buttery flavor you get from good sashimi salmon. We did enjoy the Taki maki roll and Tuna Tower,(neither were on the happy hour/lunch menu). Very expensive lunch and we left hungry.

Gluten free yellowtail (not sure if it was gluten free as my daughter definitely got glutened this evening)

My daughter has celiac disease so I called ahead of time to see if they could accommodate a gluten allergy, they said yes and I even saw they had a separate gluten free menu so seemed great. While it SEEMS that they take precautions, unfortunately my poor daughter definitely got glutened here and now we're dealing with all the classic gluten symptoms. We ordered GF and non GF items so maybe those got mixed up. The waiter even repeated back our order to tell us what he had flagged with an allergy. Also heard the table next to us with chicken, egg and soy allergies so maybe kitchen was swamped. No excuse for that though, we obviously won't be back and cannot recommend this place

Went for Valentine's day lunch, and was immediately seated with our reservation. Our server was so kind and gave me good recommendations as a first timer. Sushi was great quality and fish had an amazing texture. This is my gfs favorite spot so she wanted me to try. Ambiance has a nice ocean feel with the blue. really enjoyed

I was seriously craving sushi so I went on the hunt for a good spot -- and guess what? I found my all-time favorite sushi place right here in Dallas! I started with the Tuna Tower -- super fresh and flavorful. Then I had the Cherry Bomb (a must-try!) and the Lion King Roll -- all during happy hour on a Saturday! The flavors were amazing and the presentation was on point. I honestly wish I had room for more, but I was so full. The service was great, and the vibe of the place made the experience even better. Definitely coming back for another round soon!

Came in for a quick lunch I always order the Itchy Seabass and today I tried the Yellowtail Serrano both were fantastic! My waiter today was Jeremy and he was amazing. I absolutely loved him! He suggested the Godzilla bomb which is a raw sushi roll. It was delicious! Since he saw that I love everything hot, he also suggested the Serrano Pozo to dip the roll in. So good! If you like hot, try it!

Food, service, and ambiance were great! Service was so fast! Food came out within 5-10 minutes. We ordered the Truffle Salmon, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Ceviche. The salmon was fresh and tasty. The brussels sprouts were well seasoned. My husband liked the ceviche; I thought it was ok.

Delicious meal at Blue Sushi. We started our meal with happy hour drinks (yay) and brussels sprouts before we moved on to order sushi. The vegetarian sushi menu is extensive and the fish sushi selection was great too. We were happy with the amount we received for the price and will be returning.

Came in today for happy hour specials which start at 2. Waitstaff were very pleasant and attentive. Got a lot of various items - edamame, mango crab wonton, cherry bomb. My favorite was the maki raw roll I got - lion king. Fresh and tasty!

Lion King Roll Not very exciting roll, not super yummy, and quite pricey. Maybe would've been better fresh than delivery

Upon entering, we were greeted warmly. The decor and interior are gorgeous. The vibe is warm and inviting. It's a large restaurant but it feels cozy. The ambience is one where you want to be there. 5/5 on ambience. Our server, Matthew, was one of the best we have ever had. He was warm, friendly, and helpful. He engaged with the kid and made her feel welcome. He steered me to choices that turned out great. 5/5 on service. We started with the caprese salad and it was excellent. The portion was small for the money, but the quality and flavor were outstanding. Matthew steered me to the lasagna and it was excellent. It was so rich that I could only eat half. I would have liked a bit more sauce, but overall it was very tasty and had lots of meat. I would get it again, maybe split it with the wife who also liked it. The wife had the Bolognese and it was good but not great. It. is supposed to be a pasta and meat dish but there was almost discernible meat. She found one small piece of meat. It was not bad, just not as good as she had hoped, or that we had experienced at Zeppole. She would not get it again. Instead, she stole my lasagna! For dessert, the wife had the olive oil cake. It was good but a bit dry, it should be moister. The kid had the lava cake and although she loves chocolate, she said there was too much. I guess it was cloying sweet. I had chocolate gelato and had no complaints. I cannot leave the review without mentioning the Silicon margarita. Wow, they (plural) were outstanding. I could drink those all night and live to regret it the next day. It is a perfectly balanced blend of flavors with Don Julio tequila, my favorite. Be sure to sip it through the salt. That is one dangerous margarita. I loved it. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. The bolognese and dry olive oil cake prevent a 5 star review, but it certainly was a very good restaurant. We will return for sure to try something else.

I had booked a reservation on Resy and we were seated immediately in a small, intimate booth. Initially, it was not terribly loud, but as the evening progressed and several large parties were seated nearby; the sound of the music was completely drowned out. I think more noise abatement measures could be taken to absorb some of the obtrusive loudness we were getting. For a starter, we ordered the Calamari. It was fried perfectly and was great, but the Thai Sticky sauce was too sweet and the consistency of the sauce was thin. It needed something to make it more viscous, and a secondary sauce, like a marinara or even an aioli would've been nice to balance out the sweetness of the Thai sauce. For an entree, I ordered the Maple- Ginger Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and itself was delicious, but the sauce was too sweet and rich. The fired rice that accompanied my meal was over-the-top salty. It was almost going into "too much" territory. For desert we split the Passion Fruit Ice Cream Pie. This was actually very good and not overly sweet. It was my favorite item from my meal. Overall Renny's truly employs a lot of care and attention to the food, but some of the items crossed a line into "too much" territory. Be it sweetness or saltiness, the kitchen could exercise a bit of restraint to let the flavors of the food shine.
