Talk about an Amazing Experience @ Locally Nourished in Dayton, WA. !! We were passing through and in need of a good meal on a Friday morning. They delivered tenfold! Located right off of Main St., their historic building has been beautifully maintained and utilized, featuring sections for their cafe, spacious dining areas with plenty of seating throughout, and an array of merchandise. Service was hospitable and courteous. Staff took pride in their establishment and stayed busy. We loved their creative and appealing promotional merchandise as well. Great specialty drink options. I thoroughly enjoyed my rich and creamy vanilla latte. Our breakfast meals were absolutely fantastic and made with top quality ingredients, seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The breakfast burrito had the best savory veggies and tender meat! The breakfast plate had melt-in-your-mouth cheesy taters, tasty crisp bacon, and delicately fried over-medium eggs! Locally Nourished serves food that is distinctive, tasty, often using unusual cups and saucers or distinctive garnishes to add to the delight of what might otherwise be a boring bagel, say, or a bowl of potatoes--the latter a morning speciality at a very reasonable price. This is a very interesting restaurant and store. When first walking in, it's not apparent that it is a restaurant. A person has to walk toward the back of the business to find the restaurant and order. Along the way there are an odd assortment of odds and ends for sale, some new and some used. It is a very comfortable atmosphere to dine in. There are many tables spread about with plenty of chairs. It's a very large eating area. Even on one of the hottest days of the year, it was significantly cooler inside with just fans running. just came in to look at the plants... I thought they were either moving the business, but they were just fixing up the storefront... they are still moving something's around because they had to replace the front windows... I was honestly surprised because walk in you just in awe of all the plants ... i'm honestly so happy that they replaced the windows because it just looks like a more welcoming business. When you first come in extremely clean and has that down to earth home feeling... The Woman who helped me was so helpful, courteous, and polite... I don't get service like that because Im tattooed from head to toe... I usually get rude people follow me around,whispers,racist comments... in the end of course I finally leave the business and never returned... I know it's hard for some people nowadays to even go somewhere due to the fact that a lot of things are pricey. But it wasn't too bad for the price of the food nor the plant. it's so nice just to go into a business and have a smiley face. And they welcome you no matter what you look like. So I'm not 100% on who the lady was, but whoever was in charge on Saturday during car show around noon deserves a 1. The food, tad pricey but was pretty good though. Employees working front counter were awesome. When I let them know my order was wrong, (ordered my sandwich in a wrap, got homemade bread instead) lady in charge came up very condescending made it awkward to say the very least, grabbed my sandwich back and left. My guess she was the manager or the owner. I would just suggest if a customer brings a wrong order to your attention maybe just a small apology would be better then reprimanding me for telling the front counter gal my order was wrong. I guess the right thing to do was to march back into the kitchen myself and return it to the chef? I won't be back. But even though I threw away the bread, the mushroom mixture was great. read more

Everything is fresh made. Good gluten free options. You can get their excellent verde pozole as a bowl or as a side dish. I tend to order the soup and the Italian grinder wrap most often. My wife and I stopped in on our way through Dayton. Pretty straightforward coffee shop that serves small plates. We ordered two panini's. One had mold on it. To the shops credit the server asked if we would like a refund or something else. We asked for a refund. Just checked my account and she only refunded us for one sandwich? After she took away both sandwiches apologizing for the mold on the bread? I didn't have the coffee, but it doesn't mold as easy as bread so I'd stick with the coffee. read more

What a great find! I was on a road trip through Eastern Washington, and left Clarkston early heading west for the Columbia Gorge. I wanted to visit Dayton and decided to stop at Locally Nourished for breakfast. Cool space in a former antique mall on the main street, with easy parking. Once inside, you're greeted by friendly faces and a huge open space with high ceilings. Everything suggests "have a seat, relax..." Tall windows facing the street let in abundant natural light. Great coffee, fresh baked goods, and breakfast and lunch items. I had quiche (one of 3 offered) with a fresh fruit bowl and it was perfect! Although, I was tempted by the French toast special (with bacon) and some of the other menu items. Coming from the west side of the state, I was pleasantly surprised by the morning's playlist which included songs from The Smiths, Morrissey, and Bryan Ferry. Wait...in Dayton, WA? Yes! The owners have roots on the West Side of the state but have made Dayton, and its lovely small town, their new home. I definitely got it. A little oasis between Walla Walla and Clarkston/Lewiston. Very welcoming, they've put a pool table inside for local teens who just want to hang out. Interesting objects--some display and some for sale--are displayed along the perimeter of the space. I spoke with Leah, one of the proprietors, at length about Dayton. She very kindly suggested some of the points of interest in Dayton, and environs. Highly recommended. I recently took a job in Dayton Washington and needed a good option for morning pick me ups. This place has been the best hole in the wall find this year for me! First off, the staff are so kind and friendly and genuinely care about each one of their customers. I asked where their food was sourced from and they said almost all of it is locally grown a lot of it is organic and they almost all their meals from scratch. As a vegetarian I like to know that I have options for healthy eating. They have sandwiches and quiches and protein smoothies and if you'll keep the secret with me? They've got the best chai in the Pacific Northwest in my opinion. They also have oatmeal to go with ginger and Chai and bananas and walnuts and also lots of good little nuggets that I couldn't begin to think of on my own. We were very disappointed in our panini sandwich for takeout. We ordered a version called the Italian Grinder and we received the Caprese. The bread was some sort of bun that was warm but not grilled and by the time we sat down to eat it 10 minutes later it was soggy and inedible. read more

Locally Nourished has something for everyone. I was surprised to see a menu in Dayton, WA that has vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and other dishes. They also have carnivore/omnivore options. The breads are made with organic grains from Joel's, fresh roasted coffee from Rey's Roast and there are so many choices. We had the mushroom panini (made with local Chesed farms 'shrooms), quiche, chia pudding, banana berry smoothies and an oat milk latte to go. It is so nice to be able to get food from a place that takes pandemic protocols seriously that uses organic, local, fresh ingredients. Everyone was so kind and we will definitely be back. read more

The bacon was delicious as well very thick cut of meat versus the scrawny microwavable stuff you get other places.
