Veggie Vegetable Gyoza

We were visiting from out of town and were glad to find a Japanese restaurant that got OK reviews. The prices were reasonable for the portion sizes and the sushi was fresh. The service was good too. The restaurant itself was a bit dark and the menus were dirty. There were quite a few customers on Sun evening which is a good sign.

Great food, good service. The food was so tasty. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. I would strongly recommend this culinary experience.

Food was amazing! Service spot on! Nice calm music is background as we watched the football game . Enjoy a wonderful lunch with my grandson!!

Dumpling soup

Ummm wow! From the service, to the amazing sake menu and the offering of fine foods, absolutely yes! The dumpling soup was full of veggies, flavor, and delicious. I could have stayed just for this and will return for a tub of it, seriously. The Japanese Ramen is a real treat. Huge bowl with all of the awesomeness. The broth is amazing. The noodles delightful. The toppings and meats, divine. Seriously, don't miss this spot!

Unexpectedly a great pho soup, the meat was tender and flavorful and not salty at all and I'm not a fan of the slice meat balls.

Beautiful Sakura roll.

This is my go-to for excellent sushi in Walla Walla. Sushi is as good as anything you'll find in Seattle or LA.

Wow, they are sushi gods, they dance like gazelles from the hearth to the table with tiny purses of delicate flavor

Bento lunch special is delicious. The service was great. We were here mid-week and no wait. It did fill up by the time we finished.

The 1st time I went, not long after I moved here, I got a burger at lunch time. I remember thinking it was meh. The meat was dry and the bun was stale. That's about all I remember. 2nd time, I got their version of Eggs Benedict. The eggs were overcooked (jammy-to-dry yolks) and the cheese sauce was terrible. 3rd time was the salmon filet, which was significantly undercooked in the middle. 4th time, I got the Country Biscuit Breakfast: gravy was terribly salty and the scrambled eggs were rubber. Tonight, it was the corned beef hash with two poached eggs and a Belgian waffle: the hash was more green pepper than meat or potatoes, the "poached" eggs were white hockey pucks with completely solid yolks and the Belgian waffle was a fluffy waffle-shaped pancake, no crispness on the outside at all. The waitstaff are fantastic and extremely nice. The setting is ... dated, but serviceable. The place is still better than the truly awful Denny's in town. I really hate ripping the place because the folks are so nice. I guess I'll sum it up this way: I've never had a truly bad meal at Clarette's, but I've never had a truly good meal there, either.

Along with the plateful of crab (Dungeness), I also received a plateful of beans, garlic bread and coleslaw. Yes, two plates. The crab is served at exactly 6 p.m. as soon as the Master of Ceremonies gives a welcome. It was simply amazing that the 1,000 plus guests were served within a very short time. There were three windows of servers open and everyone just lined up and went through in an orderly fashion. The crab was among the best that I've eaten (and I've had a lot of crab over the years). I had a few bites of my beans, garlic bread and coleslaw, but I mainly concentrated my efforts on the crab. It is all-you-can-eat, so when this comes around again next year, bring an appetite and get there as soon as the doors open (usually around 4-4:30). Tickets are pre-sold. This is a casual event at the Fairgrounds building, but I did notice some guests were dressed up. Great for groups and truly a fun night out.
