We love a kid friendly brewery... This place is great. Second time here and I caught them while Brad's Pitt BBQ was still open. They really did amazing with the remodel. I first came when it was still under construction. You can order your BBQ and they bring it over next door. And the BBQ is actually good ***10/10 highly recommend from your local transplant from TX*** As for the service - we love samples & they definitely don't hold back until they get it right. Jenn's recommendations where all pretty amazing but I ended getting the Raspberry sour (red/pink drink) and I wanted something strong so she brought me a Belgian to try. All in all - I am very happy and this was a great way to bring in the weekend.

When your Dad's birthday falls on Cinco de Mayo, you celebrate big. With COVID 19, this year was the exception to the rule. Still wanting to celebrate somehow during this strange time, my sister and I opted to have a "beer tasting" (at a distance of course!) in the backyard. Locavore was the brewery of choice - mainly because they offer reasonably sized crowler options for a reasonable price, and also because Dad had yet to sample their goodness. ++ Ordering online is simple. Each beer is listed on the website with details describing the style, flavor and color, which made it easy to narrow down our choices. Once selected, I was able to quickly pay ahead of time and my order was delivered curbside upon arrival! ++ We opted to sample 6 different styles of beer - creating our own flight. We started with the My Bock, their newly created golden lager, which was full bodied and a gorgeous color, then moved to the Sugar Magnolia, their take on Blue Moon - both of which Dad loved. Next up, Das Litre - a rich Oktoberfest style beer, followed by their Irish Red. Both my husband and Dad loved the darker beers, while Mom and my sister enjoyed the lighter offerings. My personal favorite were the last ones we sampled - the 5th, a tasty Pale Ale, followed by the Lilly Hammer IPA - which featured the perfect amount of hops and was oh, so delicious. ++Prices range depending on beer style, but start around $6 for 22oz, which provided just the right amount for the 5 of us! 6 packs and growlers are available for purchase and/or exchange through their program too! Even though it's been a hot minute since I have been back to Locavore and can safely say, I still dig this spot. What better way to toast to another year older and wiser!

    Excellent Green Chile Pale Ale!

Continuing the experience of trying out breweries that came along after living in Colorado. Locavore being the latest I'm posting a review for was a brewery I liked pretty well! The Backberry Belgian Wit was the first of the three beers we had. It also, unfortunately was the one I liked least. It was just a bit too sweet and more often than not(there are exceptions of course) I lean towards desiring citrus in my wit beers over berry oriented ones. But after that thing started turning around! My second beer was my favorite one of the three. This was the green chile pale ale the Heisenberg. Nice chile flavor with just a touch of peppered heat. In my younger days I loved the flaming hot chile beers that would make your mouth really burn but now getting something tamer is what I prefer making this chile pale ale a perfect fit! Our final beer was the Nut Brown Ale. Oh, I do love the nut beers and this was a very good one! With hazelnut features this was a very fine beer to kick back, relax and have a conversation regarding it... of course that's where my conversation drifted was over the tasty beers with Steve!

This spot was just what we were looking for today. Needed somewhere we could bring the pup inside in case it was raining. We enjoyed the beer (blackberry wheat was my favorite) and it was a nice open space with enough parking. Once you're there it doesn't feel like you're in the middle of a shopping plaza. We enjoyed the patio and got takeout from the sushi place a couple doors down (which was also very good by the way). Also, the staff was very friendly :) We'd definitely come back!

Gluten free, not by choice. Delicious beer!

The atmosphere is what makes this an awesome place! Great employees, low-key surroundings. Just recently expanded and now have darts and pinball! My husband LOVES their beer so much that our home bar currently has a keg of 2-Fingers on tap. I'm gluten free so enjoy the canned Holidaily beers they serve. Having Brad's Pit BBQ next door and the collaboration between the 2 businesses is awesome! I use the Spotlight n app and am saving my points to get myself a nice beanie, I hope! Already have a ball cap!

Superb beer selection and great bbq. food. Great Service! They even have games to play.

Nice place to have a good beer. Good selection. Two nice outside sitting areas. They even have pinball.

I've tried a few brews from Locavore over the years, but had yet to make my way to the source; until now! PROs: ++ The space is large with tons of different seating styles to cater to any group size or a solo brew-venture! ++ There's a great patio for those sunny Colorado days! ++ The brews are fantastic! During my visit I opted for a flight to try a variety of their offerings (The Dude, Bloch's Bounty Stout, Blackberry Betty, Summertide, Jolly Farmer, and Fifi) and loved them all! ++ Locavore is located in a strip mall, so there's plenty of parking! So bring all you friends!! CONs: -- Like most breweries they don't serve food. Bummer! They do have a set-up with a restaurant nearby to order at a kiosk in the brewery and they will deliver! Yay! -- The beertenders there during our visit wasn't very attentive. Not that we needed to be doted on, but a "hey, how are the beers" every once in a while is nice. Oh well, perhaps it was an off day. The cons really aren't that bad - I'll gladly come back to check out more of the beer offerings at Locavore Beer Works!

After taking our old husky for a nice easy walk at nearby Ketring Lake this past Sunday, we decided to hunt this place down and give 'em a try. I popped my head in and asked if the dog was welcome on the patio, and the beertender said she was welcome inside, so we sat at an inside table as it was brisk out. My wife ordered the Oud Bruin (Belgian style brown ale) and I got a hazy double IPA. The taste of the Oud Bruin I had impressed me a lot - very similar to the ones I had in Belgium decades ago. My IPA was good but a bit understated - could use a bit more hop-forwardness. My wife ordered the Double Golden Ale for her second beer. I had a taste of that as well, and it was quite good, but if it's meant to be a knock off of the famous Duvel from Belgium the recipe needs a bit of tweaking. This is a pretty small place - seats maybe twenty people inside, and another 25 or so outside on the great looking patio, I'm guessing. There was a couple with two young kids when we first arrived, and another couple entered just as we were leaving, so we were the only customers for most of our visit. The very pleasant beertender chatted cordially with us. We'll head back here next time we're in the area. I'd love to see this place do well and continue to add something different to downtown Littleton.

We were impressed that most if not all of the beers they make here are gluten-free (we aren't gluten intolerant, but it's good to see that they take all customers' needs into account). It's quite unusual to see Delirium Tremens beer from Brouwerij Huyghe in Belgium on the beer menu - I haven't had it in years and may well order one the next time I go. There's a shelf full of games if you care to play one, and they have events in the evenings, including Magic: The Gathering on the second Monday of each month.
