The…read morefirst thing we noticed is that parking was obscure - we had to stop to ask a nice couple for directions! (Turns out guest parking spots are across the street from the park entrance on Lakeshore Dr, if anyone else is wondering!) Lagoon Park has a really simple and easy to walk trail - it was all flat and mostly graveled. It only took us about 20-25 minutes to circle around (with a 6 year old to boot), so we ended up circling it twice to get a longer walk in! Along the way we stopped to check out two bridges, investigated a couple of smaller dirt trails, admired the MASS amount of lily pads, waved hello to a few of the nice people in the small section of neighborhood we passed by, and the trail leads you right past Wegmans, so we took a break for some sugar cookies, too! I also noticed there were quite a few great fishing spots, if you're looking for those. And a few maps of the trail, which was a nice addition, even though I can't imagine it's easy to get lost here. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice easy trail walk, or some hidden fishing nooks!

Take I-390 south to Rush and follow 15A south along Hemlock Lake. After passing Johnson Hill Road, Reynold's Gully will be a mile down on your left. I parked where it said "daffodil meadow" since that sounded pretty sweet, and we ventured on into the woods. I had no idea it would be such a lovely hike alongside the Irondequoit Creek. We headed the wrong way on the red trail (I think?) and ended up intersecting with a few different trails along the way. The mud was minimal and there were very few other people on the trail the Friday I was there. With a few folks fishing along our hike, Freddy got some great people watching and chipmunk chasing in. I know now that there's a very popular fish hatchery. I didn't know what the situation would be with that during all things COVID, so we kept it simple and made a swift exit right after our sweaty hike. THis park is lush and gorgeous and provides a TON of magnificent views. Happy hiking!

This is a really lovely park... plenty of open space for playing games on the grass, getting some…read moresun, and also a pavilion or two for larger groups that want some cover & picnic tables. in the lower area, there's a very short little pathway by the water... there were kids playing and exploring the water, and someone else was fly fishing. On the upper portion of the park is the actual walking trail, which is a really well worn out path and very easy to walk (though I wouldn't consider it accessible to those in wheelchairs, etc). There isn't really anything to *see* at the end... it just kind of ends... but then you turn around and walk back. Honestly, my dog was more than happy to explore the entirety either way. :) I do have to remove one star because their bathroom facilities aren't great. At the time of my visit, the women's restroom was completely clogged - and the men's room was basically a single stall. :-/ TL;DR Really enjoyable park and I'll definitely be back in the future.
