Last night my group did not 1... not 2... but 3 rooms at Locked Adventures! I wouldn't normally consider doing that many rooms back-to-back, but we were having SO MUCH FUN that we just wanted to keep on going! The 3 rooms we did were as follows: - The Curse of KV62: A beautifully designed room, with incredibly unique puzzles (several of which I have never seen anywhere else!) This has an epic feel to it. Often times rooms require some suspension of disbelief in order to feel fully immersed in the theme - not this one! Every last detail exceeded my expectations. - Quest for the Throne: Truly has something for everyone! I love all sorts of different puzzles, and this room had just about everything - all of it implemented extremely well, and (without spoiling anything) the end of the game rewarded my efforts! - Dystopia: FUN FUN FUN! Everybody in my group was laughing and hollering the whole time. This was the most ominous of the rooms I did at Locked, and though it certainly wasn't a 'horror' theme, it kept me on edge! Without giving too much away... it's a more exciting experience than your run-of-the-mill escape room - that's for sure. 3 game masters were present, and they are all SO COOL! Ron, Jim, and Ky were all friendly to the point where I probably could have just hung out with them in the lobby the whole time and walked away satisfied. I experienced all of their game master skills first hand (and was even able to get some behind-the-scenes knowledge from them about designing and running rooms) and let me tell you - they know what they're doing!! Despite having talked to them in the lobby before and after each game, I was completely immersed in the rooms (if you choose to do Curse of KV62 you'll understand exactly why I wasn't able to associate their in-game persona with their out-of-game persona). Highly recommended for any team building occasion, This place is huge and comfy. The waiting room is full of interesting toys and puzzles. They even have arcade games!! I went to Locked Adventures with my friends and did 3 of their rooms Quest for the Throne: You were born into a Royal family and it is your birthright to assume the Throne upon the King's death, but your evil younger brother has exiled you from the Kingdom. Very dynamic puzzle, their puzzles will make you feel good once you solve it. Very immersive narrative by the game master, The Curse of KV62: You are in the Valley of Kings and are exploring tomb KV62 when the curse of the Pharaoh's has invoked and sealed off the entrance. This room is super Immersive, even the voice hint is so immersive. It's obvious to see that there must be lots of efforts to build this beautiful room. The lightning was great, it is creepy dark but they make sure you can see all the objects well. They also use modern technology of escape room for this KV62 room. Make sure you escape within the time limit unless you want to get cursed! Dystopia: The Zombie Apocalypse has finally happened! You've been able to survive in your small community so far. It is your job to collect necessary supplies in order to survive. There is an abandoned compound not too far away that you need to search through for any supplies your community could use. Rumor has it that food and weapons have been spotted there, including the highly sought after Twinkie. However evidence of zombie walkers have been seen around this compound as well - caution must be used.You and your team will split up to cover more ground, make sure you have something to carry any supplies you find back with you so they are not contaminated, don't lose anyone and don't get bit! This is one of my favorite escape room! I don't want to spoil too much of it, but you will definitely have fun in this room! Your mission is to survive and you will run inside the room. I'm impressed with the details they put into this room, made me really think we are encountering zombie for real! Overall, this one Escape room is one must do if you are in the neighborhood! read more

Our doctor took our whole office here for a team building experience! There were 12 of us and we did the Dystopia since it's the only room that accommodates 10+ people. I'm writing this based off myself and my friend's experience from this weekend. My team (5 of us), Did all of the rooms at this location. While I'm thankful that owners helped us celebrate our 100th room with them (V), I'm writing this based on their Dystopia room. We knew going in that it was a Zombie Apocolypse room. The GM explained the rules and that we would encounter an actor that was allowed to touch us, but we were not allowed to touch him. Ok great. What was not ok was 3 things. 1). While yes he did a jump scare and did scare my friend, she was screaming and cowered in the corner and he kept at her!! Another team mate had to make a distraction so that he would leave her alone. 2). I understand that the zombie was supposed to try to take the bag of items from us, but he was so aggressive in doing so, I jammed my thumb, and have a scrape on my hand from literally playing tug of war with him. 3). Once I took the bag, I don't know what he was thinking but he was going after my other team mate, and he knocked her down on the floor!!!! No one (the actor), the GM or even the owners bothered to ask how my friend was or if she was ok. She mentioned it to them, then said oh well we're sorry. Like come on!! I know actors are not supposed to break character or the GM isn't supposed to come in the room, but when someone you employ knocks down a customer, this would have been once instance where that would have been totally acceptable yet it never happened. Super disappointed about that. I understand about the actor getting into character, however this person was so aggressive that it just left us bruised and frustrated. Even though we just celebrated with the owners for our 100th room, it was like they didn't even care. Oh and they might want to work on the transition from Dystopia to The Mad Scientist, as it was super confusing. read more

We had so much fun, I was a little worried the girls (ages 10-11) wouldn't be able to do the puzzles or enjoy it, but we had a blast! Rain was awesome, he made us feel excited to get started, very kind and patient with the girls. We'd get stuck on some tasks in the room, but the person watching was very helpful without giving away the answers, he had us think and kept in character of the theme we chose (the curse of KV62). My family and I were on vacation. We decided to try this escape room. This was my mom's and my first time doing an escape room. The guy was very friendly upon greeting. There was a locker area for us to put our purses, Apple Watches, and smart phones. There was a video of what is expected and rules which helped. He gave us a run down and said he can give us hints if we ask for them. I liked that they allowed giving us hints to finish to the room. My family and I did the Mad Science Room, that was an awesome experience and we escaped / solved the problem. We played the Mad Scientist room on a double date. We ran around separately for at least 10 minutes without any traction, desperately watching the clock tick by. So Raymond, our game master, gave us a little clue which sparked a chain of connections. When we split our search into two pairs is when we really started putting pieces together, but still stressed with the time. Exciting to the very end when we saved our lives with no seconds to spare. We played their "V' game and it was fantastic! It's a 90-minute vampire themed game with non-linear gameplay with a creepy atmosphere, but not necessarily scary if you are worried about that (like myself). It has a minimum of 4 players, however a very big thanks to the owners for being very accommodating in letting our group play with less. Definitely have four or more if you are newer to escape rooms, because this room has a lot to do! There is a unique and comical hint system in-game, which I always love. Also, shout-out to the employees here for their great customer service. Our GM, Rain, was fantastic in setting up the story for the room and the debriefing afterwards. Omg what a fun fun experience!!! My friend and I decided to take a trip down to San Diego to do escape rooms. We came with my son and his cousin aged 12 and 14. One has never been in a live actor room before and hasn't been to a scary escape room. Omg this room did not disappoint. We did the Quest for the Throne Room, we had a group of 4 people who had done a range of 1-20 rooms. We escaped with 18:45 left. It was a super fun room. Decor was all in theme. The hosts were awesome, offered us a little nudge when we were stuck. Definitely recommend Locked Adventures for Escape Room enthusiasts. Went back and brought 4 1st timers to do the Mad Scientist Room. This game is 45 minutes and was a great first Room, some people in our group didn't know what to expect but they loved it!! We had 9 people for the Dystopia room, although 9 seemed like a lot it may be helpful for someone who has never done an escape room before. This is a two part review since we've been here twice. This is a great up and coming escape room business that continues to expand! What I like most about Locked Adventures is they will give you a clue if everyone on the team agrees to ask for one. They'll also give out random hints if they see you're struggling or off course completely. I personally tend to just go around the room yelling "Help! Help!" in hopes of more hints, which may or may not come lol. The other nice thing about Locked Adventures set up is unlike other escape rooms, you won't be penalized on time for asking for clues and there is no max amount of clues you can have. They also have an awesome little game room with a Foosball table, Skiball Table, a TV, and a bowl of candy (Thanks for the candy). You can reserve this room for a large work party or family party. Now for the good stuff; we went here twice; both times in a team of 4. The first time we took on the "Quest for the Throne" escape room. Without giving away any spoilers (follow the purple fabric), this was a very challenging escape room that definitely took all 4 of us working together. With this specific quest for the throne you are attempting to gather all the information needed to find out who plotted against your father and King to have him killed. You are the heir to the throne but someone is trying to overthrow you. You must find the proof that you're the rightful heir to the throne within the allotted time frame (I think it's 45mins). The Quest for the Throne escape room was definitely one of my top 5 escape rooms that I've done. The second time we went, we booked the "Mad Scientist" escape room. Once again we did a team of 4 and definitely needed a team since the time to complete this room is only (30-35mins I believe). You might think it's not worth the money to do a 35 minute escape room, but it absolutely is because there are so many different elaborate puzzles within this one room that'll blow you away. This room definitely required people to work on various tasks seperately rather than attacking one objective altogether. The purpose of this room is to find the secret antidote containing a cure for a deadly virus that is infecting others (precursor for the new Zombie Escape Room coming soon!) This was one of the harder escape rooms we have done but not so difficult we couldn't complete. In fact we were able to escape with 7 minutes to spare. Between these two challenging escape rooms you can't go wrong. The Quest for the Throne is easier than the Mad Scientist but can feel a lot more rewarding in the end. The Mad Scientist is more challenging than the Quest for the Throne but also feels rewarding when you complete the elaborate puzzles within the room. Overall Locked Adventures is one of my favorite escape room locations and the staff is extremely friendly as well as accommodating. I would definitely recommend trying out Locked Adventures if you're on the fence and trying to pick a fun escape room! read more

We had an absolute blast here. None of us in our group had done an escape room before, but this is a great place to start! It was easy to book online as well as same day. The website was up to date and easy to maneuver. The check in process and instructions was easy and hassle free. The staff is down to Earth, friendly, and great at what they do. My 3 member group were all Escape Room first timers and it turned out to be an awesome immersive experience. We did "The Curse of KV62" and while some prior knowledge of Egyptology is advantageous but those without can still have an equally fun time. Our game master, Taylor did a really good job of explaining the concept to us and our "tour guide" (Rainn?) really got us into the whole ancient Egypt vibe. Decor and lighting in the room really set the ambience. Though we did have to "beg" for a clue, for first timers we not only completed it with 8 mins to spare but have a really enjoyable time doing it.
