I am glad I choose Lockology because they were so prompt in getting here in the heat of traffic hour in the Bay Area. Frank was polite enough to call me that he may be a bit late given the traffic, but the wait was still minimal. The total time it took Frank from arrival to unlocking the car door was less than 10 minutes. About 5 minutes after Frank left, we realized the battery was dead and called Frank who CAME BACK and helped us jump start the car. He was a complete professional through and through. Lockology was great. I had lost the one and only key to my Volvo and searched around the east bay and over on the peninsula to find ANYONE who could make a new key for me with little luck. Then I called Lockology. Ori came out and assessed the situation. Fast, Thorough and Friendly. I broke my remote/ car key, didn't have a back up. The dealers were charging some ridiculous amount to have one done and I had to leave my car with them. This place was cool...I called on the day before Christmas eve. This was no small job. Saturn cars suck...the ignition switch and housing was broke ....Ori I think thats his name...came fairly quick. Was pleasant and went above and beyond his basic job. Stayed pretty much all afternoon trying to fix my problem...he did fix what he was supposed to fix but unfortunately other parts was damaged as well. Also I would like to mention that the guy on the phone WAS VERY REASONABLE AND WORKED WITH ME....I saw that someone else said these guys are not flexible, interesting because I thought they was more than flexible, granted without "giving the farm away"... I'm all about service. I called Lockology late Feb 2016 to come out and replace the lock cylinder in the car. Back then, service was prompt and the technician was professional. They charged me a little over $200 for the replacement and two new keys. Fast forward to today, when I get home after running some errands, I can't shut the engine off. The key won't turn at all. I call Lockology and explain the problem. Inform him they had serviced my locks and he says he'll pull up my records. Forget the fact that we got "disconnected", he immediately informs me parts are 90 days and labor 1 year warranty and since it's been 2 years, I'll have to pay full price. I ask what is the full price and he responds that it may be $250 but won't know until they diagnose the problem. Ok, I get it, but I'm thinking this is a brand new part and most vehicles I've owned for over 8 yrs have never had ignition problems, but ce lest vie. The tech gets to my place about 1 1/2 after my call, not his fault since he was he only one in the area and was on another call, and takes the cylinder apart and diagnoses the problem. He then says it'll cost $250. I'm now in shock. It took less than 10min and the part is this tiny little metal part that somehow got bent and an easy fix. I ask, how can the cost be $250 for such a small part and labor for about 1/2hr. He says that is what the owner instructed and that the owner had quoted $250 to me. The tech can see I'm a bit upset so he calls the owner. Owner says give a 10% discount. if my math is right, I'm still paying about $500 per hour. Uh really? The tech calls the owner back. They want to now charge $180. I'm like forget it. It's now all about the principle. It's a part the company replaced. It's the work they did. They should stand by their work and the parts. I totally get they can't guarantee parts for ever, but from a servicing perspective, especially for work you've done, charge by the hour at a discounted rate. None of this flat rate excrement. I'm totally disgusted by this company. I rejected them and now I'll be going to the other 5 star company on yelp. BEWARE! read more

Nadav + Lockolgy Locksmith were great! Super friendly, great communication (let me know his ETA and kept me updated about it through the day) and most of all were able to fix my issue completely. He came to my office and did the work, which was icing on the cake and a great deal. I had a 2004 Porsche Cayenne with non-functioning remote (purchased the car used). The local dealership was very helpful, but after 4 hours they were unable to program new keys for it. (And I was going to pay a couple hundred more for the privilege.) After sending me on my way, claiming of "wiring rot to the immobilizer" I was losing hope. Very impressed and grateful despite a yucky event-- someone broke into my 2010 prius during a short walk and among other things stole a set of prius keys. This meant I needed to wipe out stolen Smart key signal, change the emergency locks, get a new spare key, and reset both keys in my possession with a new smart key connection signal. The woman who answered the phone was super relaxed and informative, and Ori factored me into a rolling set of appointments on the evening of the same day that I called for help. Frankly, I was a bit blown away and slightly alarmed that within about an hour he was able to do everything I needed using nothing more than an unmarked white van parked near my car, but I was totally grateful for the assistance. My Honda Pilot key was stuck in the ignition. The key wouldn't budge, wouldn't turn and I couldn't start the car. Called Honda, they quoted $400-$500 plus tow fee. Lost the key fob to my 2006 Volkwagen Pssatt and called Lockology, the VW Dealership and a few other locksmiths that were highly rated on Yelp. It was Labor Day and I figured I probably wouldn't hear from anyone until at least the next day. To my surprise, Rick at Lockology called me back within about an hour and even offered to come out that day if I was in a bind. Thankfully I had a back up key so I was able to wait a couple of days. He had his assistant, Ori ,call me back to answer some more questions I had and confirm the price. He was patient and detailed and seemed honest and trustworthy. The prices were much lower than the dealership and quite reasonable, especially considering the convenience of having them come to my home and completing the job in less than an hour. Well, I was having some problems with my car key turning in the ignition for about a good week, figured I best call a locksmith to have this problem checked out before matters got worse. I was helped by Ori. Great guy, great service. We had run into a little trouble with some of the locking mechanisms, but he figured it out right away. We struggled through the heat of the day together and got everything working good as new. Which is great considering my car is a disaster on wheels. He was punctual, courteous, and professional. Follow up service during warranty period is poor. We were told Edgar would come out two different days and he never did. First time, the office called to tell me he would not make it out, 2nd time, no call at all. They still have not fixed a lock which keeps unlocking on it's own. We paid $275 for 2 locks and attempted repair of a old cabinet lock. read more
