What a surprise!! I'd locked my keys inside the seat of my scooter. I was dreading calling a locksmith. My bf and I had tried unsuccessfully to open the front panel to release the latch. In comes Manny, well after about 15 mins, he decided that the normal approach wasn't going to work because the lock has to go backwards to open the seat. So on to plan B, he was able to successfully get the front panel off and within less than a minute the lock was popped and open. After all that he quoted me a price as saying "whatever you think is fair." What?!?! OMG!! Manny is the man! I cannot say how incredibly respectful this guy is. My girlfriend's key to her 08 Honda Civic broke and I went onto Craigslist to find a auto locksmith and Manny's number was the first to pop up. I informed him about what happened and he let me know that unfortunately he wasn't able to help because he doesn't have the equipment to make car keys, but does have the proper equipment to unlock cars if we needed that instead... Thinking that was the end of the call, Manny spoke with me for 15 minutes and gave me sound advice about who he recommends to replace a broken car key, how much to pay, what to watch out for, and making sure there is a guarantee included... Very disappointed, especially after reading so many glowing reviews. I called them yesterday around 6pm to schedule a lockout and key replacement for my car which is stuck at DFW. We agreed to meet at 7:30am today. I wake up and call to re-confirm around 6:30am and I get hung up on. I thought it may have been a bad connection so I call again, get voicemail and left a message. I got to DFW around 7:00 and waited until 7:35. Called them again, but now I get a message saying "you can't call this number from your area". Weird, we both have 214 area codes. I call from my wife's phone, call goes through and some guy picks up. I start explaining about our appointment and he hangs up. Try and call again from my wife's phone and now I get the same msg that I can't call the number from my area. So, basically they were blocking our numbers! If they didn't want to keep the appointment, why not just say so and I would have made other arrangements. This was terrible customer service. read more

I'll try to keep this as short as possible, and leave any expletives out. Basically don't give this guy your business, he's rude and unprofessional. In the end of May (5 months back) I lost my car key in Deep Ellum, so I called up Manny or whatever his name is to open up my car, and make me a new key. Reading previous reviews it seems that only a few years back he wasn't equipped for this type of work (making new keys), but it is a service he provides now. I decided to go with his services, because he was offering to do the job for the lowest price. Well as the saying goes you get what you pay for. He seemed nice enough at first, but once he opened up my car door, and proceeded to do the work to make me a new key, he started busting open the inside of my car door. According to him this was the "old school" way of doing it. It was quite the sight seeing him tear open the inside of my car door. It honestly looked like he didn't know what he was doing. He seemed very frantic, and I don't know if this dude used to do heavy drugs, which left his nerves all fucked up (I can't help throwing in at least one F bomb), or if he just has some major anxiety issues. Regardless it looked like he was struggling, but I was desperate, so I let him finish the work. The key worked fine at first, and then I called him up about a week later to make a different key for my door, because I had lost my key along with my wallet that contained my ID with my current address (basically I was paranoid, didn't want someone finding my belongings altogether, and trying to come to my home to steal my car). So same process, he tore open the inside of my door, and made me a new key for my door, with a new code. Well the key to open my door didn't "feel" right, as if it didn't fit the way it should. Nonetheless it worked, so I didn't say anything. Not even a few weeks later, the window by the driver seat stops working, and going down. I can't say for certain it's due to the work he did, but it was suspicious. Either way he took a look at it, and said the issue had nothing to do with the work he did (of course). I let it go. Jump forward to end of October, and now the door key to unlock my doors isn't working at all. I contact him to see if he can take a look at it, he starts texting me a bunch of questions about my car and key, but with no plan of action of how exactly he's going to address it. I explain to him that it's an urgent matter, because I use my car for work, and drive all around town (I've been leaving my car unlocked). Again I get no response from him. Call him up next morning, and he answers the phone in a very rude tone saying something like "What do you want?". I tell him I need him to take a look at my car as soon as he can. He denies any responsibility for the issue with my key, starts telling me he has a busy day, and says he might be able to take a look at it later in the afternoon. But he completely dodges setting up a time and place to meet, which is very suspicious. I call him up a few times in the day as it nears the afternoon, and he completely dodges my calls. In the end he only is texting me. I'll attach the texts. Finally I just gave up, and accept that this guy isn't going to help me. He has a lot of positive reviews on Yelp, but those reviews are more than 3 years old. A lot can change in that time. This guy may be able to open up your door for the cheap if you leave your keys inside or something like that, but this guy is not qualified to make you a new set of keys if you lose your keys. You're better off paying an extra $50 somewhere else, to get the job done right the first time. TRUST ME. On top of being unqualified to do this type of work, this guy is rude and unprofessional to make matters worse. read more

GREAT service, wonderful experience. I got a flat tire, and while trying to change it locked my keys in the car. I didn't know what to do so we just looked at Yelp and called the person who had good reviews. So glad we did! I called around 9:00pm and Manny answered right away, and was at my apartment within 45 minutes. He was super friendly, and got my car unlocked in seconds. He then noticed the guy I'm dating struggling with the tire change and jumped in and did it for us!! He then refused to accept payment for the tire change, only the car unlock. It was $40 which was way cheaper than the other places we looked at before we called him. Manny is amazing!!! I was visiting from Austin and locked my keys IN MY TRUNK, which I now know makes things a LOT more difficult when you have a car alarm. Most guys would have charged me not only for the unlocking of the car but then would have had to go make a new key to get in the trunk ($$$) since the alarm system shuts down the trunk release. Manny took my entire backseat out (and of course put it back in perfectly) so he could reach back and hit the release from inside the trunk. Amazing. And very, very affordable. He was fast.
