Buddy has his Porsche parked at my aunts house. Lost his key, and needed to move his car. He had no spares... they where able to make new keys and get the car started. It was expensive but he did do a bunch of work. Including taking out the computer soldering, programming then making the keys and programming them. Super pain in the ass and cost me a bunch. I recently purchased a used vehicle that only had one FOB and wanted a second one as a backup. The dealer quoted me a very high price so I decided to shop a compatible FOB online and have it programmed by a locksmith. The first locksmith I called gave off a bad vibe. They were $40 cheaper but it didn't feel right. I called Lockology and David answered the phone. Before agreeing to make the appointment he asked if I had the FCC# for the FOB and a few other questions. Once he was satisfied the FOB was compatible he scheduled the appointment. Since I wanted it done quickly, I went to David. He was just as professional in person as he was on the phone. Within 20 minutes he programmed the FOB and made sure it, as well as my original FOB both worked properly. He also cut the emergency key blade. Very satisfied with the service and professionalism. I live in the East Lake neighborhood in Oakland. Of all the nearby locksmiths to report response rates within 10 minutes via Yelp, this was the only place to actually respond to me within 10 minutes. Also, the most affordable quoted rate and they were able to service me on a Saturday. I called in and asked how soon they could come. They had a locksmiths at my door within 45 minutes. What a great company! They came to my house within two hours of requesting service for a new transponder key and remote for my car, and finished their work super fast. I got locked out of my apartment a few evenings ago, and was luckily able to borrow someone's phone since mine was locked in the house. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get help since it was already 7pm, but I called Lockology, and Eli was at my door in less than 20 minutes. I didn't know that our apartment complex's doors are some of the hardest to unlock and pick, but Eli was super helpful and did everything he could to get the door open without having to drill and change the locks which I'm sure would be more expensive. I was quoted a reasonable price on the phone for a new key for my Honda Accord and when Ori showed up he was able to get the cost down for me based on my unique situation, even though I mentioned I was okay with the original quote. I meant to write this review when it happened, but life gets busy. I was at work a few nights ago and the lock literally fell out of the front door as my manager was locking (or trying to lock) the door. A customer mentioned lockology locksmith to my manager and she was like, "CALL THEM!" Within about 30 minutes Daniel showed up to help us out, we couldn't close the restaurant door...we really wanted to get out of there. He was so polite and professional. The exact quote he gave us is what we paid. While he was fixing our lock a customer saw and told him she too had lost her keys and needed help. I needed a key replaced for my bmw. The dispatcher who's called 'Alex' sent a guy out to make one the same day. He spent a while going back and forth between his van and my car making adjustments. I also needed him to delete the keys on the manifest. In doing so, he accidentally deleted the new key he just made *facepalm* So. I guess he and his boss became very embarrassed because they have since cut off all communications even after I paid! haha, what a joke. Never hire these tool buckets. I had key fobs/keys for a Honda Element that I had purchased off the internet that I needed programmed and duplicate keys made, since I had purchased it used with only one set of keys. I called the office and they scheduled Edgar to come to my place in Oakland within a couple hours of calling. Edgar reached out to confirm and gave me an ETA, and later to update ETA when he ran into a slight delay. When he arrived we discovered that I had the wrong chip in the keys due to some change they made in the middle of that model year, so my keys were not going to work. Amazingly, he had the right keys on hand, got everything programmed and duplicated quickly, and that was that. I hope to not need their services too much but I know for sure who I will call if I do! Audi dealer wanted to charge $542 to replace lost Audi key. In addition, I would have had to wait 3-5 business days for them to get the key, make an appointment and then go there with my spare key and car. I found Lockology, spoke to David and Alex. They could drive from Oakland and meet me at my house in San Francisco. They had a key in stock. In any case, I was traveling, so I made an appointment for Saturday morning. Alex was very respectful, sent me appointment reminders. On appointment day, David, the owner and locksmith arrived. He explained what he'd be doing and within half an hour, he had cut a spare key, re-programmed all three keys including the plastic emergency key. Thirty percent cheaper than Audi, no fuss.
