What a great bunch of guys. Alex answered and I told him I was stranded in Alameda with a key that had broken in half for my 2003 Volvo V40 . He had to hang up to call his guys in the field and check if they had blanks, and he says "don't worry, I'll call you right back!" That's when I remember, omg yes, this could be really stressful, but this one was easy peasy. Alex did confirm they had the blanks and an ETA of 90 minutes, which was totally understandable since the "best" time for people to have car / key trouble is our first day of real rain, of course! Anyhow, I just sat in my car napping until they arrived. Ori and Edgar saved the day. True life savers, the full experience. I lost my key to my Saab 95 year 2000, and with no spare I was clueless as to what I could do. Dressed in my PJ's, I put my clothes in the dryer. I was holding my wet "hang-dry only" laundry in one hand, a box of dryer sheets and my phone in the other. My phone beeped. "10% Battery" it chirped. I only had myself to blame for walking out of my apartment without my door keys (had instead grabbed my car keys) with nothing else in my pocket except my iPod as I was going out for a run. As I was beating myself up, the most weird and surprising coincidence in the world happened - I saw the Lockology van parked on the corner of my apartment building. Frank was responding to another car lock-out, and I thanked my lucky stars that I ran into him. He was very friendly and polite throughout our whole process of getting me back into my apartment. GREAT service bad a great price. Have a 2003 Volvo S40 that I lost my last set of keys. Since it was sitting in the BART parking lot, if I had to use the Dealer, I would have had to tow it to the dealership while waiting 3-5 business days for the replacement keys. AND THEN would have paid nearly twice as much for only one key. This group came out the same day (within only a few hours) and had me in the car and with two new transponder keys. These folks are on hit!!! I went to the Honda dealer in Oakland on Saturday (9/6/2014) for a new remote key and they told me that it would be $250 for a replacement. I did not need a replacement, I just needed a new housing for my remote control. Mine was falling apart and my remote only worked 50% of the time and causing me anxiety attacks because I thought that I was going to be late to appointments. Just had Lockology come over to cut and program two blank keys that I had bought from dealership for my Honda Pilot. The one original key fob I had died over the weekend. I walked out of my room this morning and I have the habit of turning the lock from the inside as I walk out. Made breakfast and forgot something in my room then lo and behold...I forgot my keys and wallet. Definitely couldn't go to work without them. The old card trick doesn't work because the door frame blocks you from doing it. Also didn't have the supplies to pick it. Thankfully I had my phone and internet access so I got on yelp and just called the first 5 star place close to my apartment (Eastlake area). My basement door was jammed. The last locksmith I used had a 70% increase in service call charge between this year and last year. That's just ridiculous so I called around for other options. Simon was courteous over the phone, but there's a bit of confusion back and forth about the quote. (Like was the service call charge on top of the estimate or inclusive of the estimate.) But we did get it resolved, the quote was reasonable so I scheduled an appointment for later that same day. Soon after I made my appointment, Frank called to see if he can come earlier since he was nearby. He arrived in a jiffy and got to work on the jammed door. After getting it unstuck, he gave us some advise on how to get it fixed and what would be most reasonable given our circumstances. In a word, Frank rocks. While catching a movie at the Grand Lake Theater Saturday evening, my car was vandalized - ignition trashed, battery stolen, molding ripped off the steering column, bunch of stuff stolen from trunk, etc. I guess I'm lucky the thieves were unsuccessful in stealing the car, however they did a fair amount of damage and the car was not drivable. Sunday morning I called a few locksmiths and reached Nadav at Lockology who promised to send over a technician to repair the ignition on site. Ori arrived and he not only got the badly damaged ignition working but helped me install a new battery. He even fixed the molding on the steering column (without me asking) for free.
