Yesterday, we woke up to find that our garage door would not open and then realized that the loud BANG we heard last night was associated with one of our garage door springs had snapped in half! We live in a townhome community and called the HOA management company who is responsible for the garage door as part of the structure and then contacted Lockout Garage Doors. Literally within ~30 mins from my outreach to the HOA, I got a call from Lockout and they shared that they had a field service person literally in the community next to ours and would be at our home in about 30 mins. The field service engineer, Yurslev, was AMAZING - he was highly competent, had a great sense of humor, was extremely helpful to lift our garage door so we could get our cars out and went to work. Nice business. A neighbor recommended them. I saw that the rubber seal on my garage door had worn off, and wanted to replace it before too much rain came into my garage. I tried reaching out to Lockout through Yelp first, though they told me after they get so many people just comparing quotes and never being in contact, they prefer to field phone calls. I spoke to Dianne, she put me in the calendar for two days later. Right on time, Cesar showed up. I didn't compare quotes, but trusted them since my neighbor vouched for them. Dianne also had told me on the phone what the worst case scenario would be (the price depended on the kind of garage door I have). Cesar did what he needed to do, replacing the rubber seal and moving a metal support to better hold the door up without charging for the latter. $300 later, my door is good as new. The Lockout Garage Doors service tech was to be here between 10am and noon yesterday, he showed up at 12:37pm during lunch and minutes before my son had a class I need to be with him for. Today he was supposed to be here 10:30am to 11am and showed up at 9:50am while my son was in class. I homeschool my son (he has special needs) and I can't leave him alone for more than a minute or 2. I scheduled the times I was available specifically. Maybe he needs a new watch, but he can't follow a schedule. I scheduled with our maintenance guy by text, so there was no confusion at the time. I showed him 2 videos of the garage door remotes not working. He did not believe them to be true apparently and wanted to replace the entire garage door opener. The garage door opens 100% of the time with the button on the wall and the app on my phone. When I asked him to leave he would not. I asked many times and he just stood there at my garage door. When I said I have a camera recording, he finally walked away. I have the video, maybe I'll put it on social media. This guy is very unprofessional and I'd prefer another company. read more

I got their info from my sister who has used them. My parents have also used Lockout. A few years ago Lockout installed my garage door opener. Tuesday evening i was in the garage doing laundry and heard a horrible crashing sound ....i look up and see the springs snapped ...ugh. i wanted to cry. i called Lockout and they asked if tomorrow works. The problem with that is that I HAD to go to work. She said hold on i'll call you back. A few minutes later she called me back and said someone would be at my place within the hour. 30 min later the guy called and said he would be there in 30 min....he showed up in 20. he came inside and did some measuring. What a hirrbel experience! We called lock out garage Door on 8/26 and totally got advantage of. They were pretty quick, but other than that- a huge nightmare. Let's start by the fact that I don't feel like those guys got any training with commercial overhead! We called for a miss functioning garage door, cables came out of the drum and the door got stuck. The tech arrived about an hour or two later, without and marked car or shirt, looks like just a random person from the street. Took them hours to indicate the problem and hours to fix it, it was a simple job. And the best part was the bill, 2800!!!! That's just a ripoff. After calling them trying to figure out what was done in there and why they are looking to Charge us high, they hit super rude and told me to basically fuck off. Our garage door broke two nights ago. The guy they sent said it was the cable, he fixed it and left, then it broke right after he left. He came back didn't fix it. He also didn't change the wire on the other side which is about to break. This guy didn't inspect shit. I don't know why he stapled their business card on my wall and put their stickers around when they didn't fix shit. A giant tree fell on my garage this morning. It damaged the roof and inside of my garage. I wasn't sure if I could safely get my car out. I have used Lockout Garage Doors before so called again and they were over within 15 minutes to help inspect the situtation. They said once the tree was removed they would return to help secure the interior beam and make sure the garage could safely open. Really impressed! My garage decided to break and trap me inside just as I was about to leave on a weekend getaway. I called Lockout garage ASAP and asked if someone could quickly come to my home to let me out. I was told he would be there between 1-2 hours. I grabbed a snack and barely sat down on my couch and Justin showed up! I was so happy that he came so fast! Turned out one of my garage springs broke but he was able to manually open the garage for me and let me get my car out. Then he made sure it was locked for the weekend. He said he would have to order the parts and come back in a couple days. It did suck having to park outside for a few days but my garage has never been in better shape. Our garage door sustained some damage to the lower panel. Since it was late in the evening, we were surprised that they could come of within the hour. That was very important since the door couldn't close since it was off the track. They straightened it out in about an hour. Didn't need to replace the panel, just the horizontal strut. When the spring on my very heavy double wooden garage door broke a few months ago, I called Lockout Garage Doors after getting a neighbor's referral. Diane was very nice and informative and gave me an estimate of what these heavy duty springs could cost - I was pleasantly surprised the final bill was very reasonable. Justin and another tech were very courteous and professional and did the repair efficiently. They also gave the system an overall inspection/service to ensure no other issues were lurking. Fast forward to today - my garage door wouldn't close since the safety sensors kept making it bounce back. Cleaning and adjusting the sensors didn't help so I reached out to Lockout again. Justin returned my call within a few minutes. I've used them once and the owner/technician was nothing short of amazing. Well my garage door malfunctioned again. The cable on one side unraveled and one of the wheels on the other side dislodged. It happened late on a Sunday evening. If you know what service visits cost on the weekends you'd know these visits aren't cheap. Anyway, the owner responded to my call but unfortunately he was out of town. He offered a technician to come out, but he also offered to teach me how to fix it over facetime. To make a long story short, I'm not very handy, but I was able to fix it with his instructions in approx 10 to 15 minutes.
