Update: business owner graciously worked with me to resolve the issue which at its core was caused by poor communication. Good customer service policy. Original review: Had locks replaced at condo. At first, it was okay. But one lock started to stick open less than 24 hours later. The business owner did not respond to immediate and repeated requests to come back out. The technician whose number we had also told us he would come back on two consecutive nights and never showed up on either. No communication at all. Ended up paying another locksmith an extra $238 to repair the problem they caused. read more

I contacted Locksmith Tech because my front door lock wasn't unlocking properly and thought I needed it re-pinned. Their communication was prompt and extremely courteous (the owner even gave me a follow up call after the service)! I felt their service was top notch and their technician was honest about the options I had. He ended up resetting the pins (which didn't work), and ended up putting in a new cylinder and re-keying my lock. All done within about 30 minutes, the same day that I called! I would highly recommend and will for sure be using Locksmith Tech again in the future (although, I do hope I won't need to!). read more

I could not be more grateful/lucky for the service I received from Locksmith Tech/Idan, particularly since it seems that many locksmiths around the downtown SF area are no longer doing emergency/late night service during the COVID -19 pandemic or only doing it on a limited basis. I moved into my new apartment with a new kitten just a week ago and locked myself out at almost 1am after leaving to get something quickly downstairs and grabbing the wrong set of keys. With just 10% battery left and unwilling to disturb my friends at 1am/leave my kitten, I called emergency maintenance at my building only to find that they don't handle lockouts after business hours. I had to look up 24 hour locksmiths on Yelp in a frantic hurry and called at least 5 without any answer before reaching Locksmith Tech. They assured me someone would arrive within 30 minutes, each of which were agonizing because my phone could die if they arrived late, but Idan came early in less than 20 minutes! I was amazed and relieved. He was very friendly and professional, familiar with my building/others in the area, and able to get my door unlocked in hardly any time at all without needing to replace the locks. Given the circumstances with the super late hour, nearly dead phone, and the numerous calls I had to place before reaching Locksmith Tech, I couldn't believe I was back in my apartment in just half an hour from the time Locksmith Tech picked up my call. Last Saturday, around 3pm when we were about to close the shop the key broke I sede the lock. I called different places and most of them were no available or an hour away from us.
