Super cute store full of all kinds of trinkets. They have sections for kitchen (cute marble cheese boards, mugs, cookware), bath (candles, soaps), interior (jewelry racks, little plant pots) and a section in the back for children. Their prices are pretty good compared to stores in the city and if you have some kind of trinket/decor you're looking for you can probably find it here. They also have jewelry and even crystals! My purchases so far have included a two tiered jewelry rack and a crystal/glass spoon holder. Love everything here! Lockwood is a great boutique for home goods and gifts. They have a great selection and the products are good quality at reasonable prices. The service is friendly and they have a great loyalty program. The store is also really fun to shop...its very eclectic and whimsical. This summer they opened up the backyard with garden items for sale and while you're there you can enjoy coffee and pie (which was delicious!). The children's area is also great and well merchandised. My nephew is due in November, so I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time at Lockwood in the future! It's great to have such a trendy and fun boutique in Astoria! read more

I've been going to Lockwood since it was a previous incarnation around the corner. It's amazing! Incredibly well-curated selection. For years I've been able to go to the store owners or, now, the shop tenders, and say "I need a [insert occasion] gift for a [description of person] who is my [relationship]" and come up with a variety of options at many price points. I've gotten kid's birthday presents, wedding gifts, gifts for my picky mom, for crafters, for dudes, and lots of presents for myself. The store is spacious and chock full of delightful goodies. The card selection is on point. And the jewelry! I wish I had thousands of dollars to adorn myself in the great baubles and perfumes. Lockwood is an awesome neighborhood staple in Astoria. Their selection of products is impeccably curated. They work with lots of local artists and many sustainable, small companies. I only give them four stars because the majority of the products are quite expensive, especially at Lockwood clothing next door. The best way my sisters and I know how to describe Lockwood is as a "Brooklyn store." I'm sure that breaks the owner's heart, since the many Queens specific merchandise implies Queens pride. However, when we've lived in North Brooklyn, tiny housewares and boutique gift shops abound. You could plan a day around shopping because that was actually entertaining. What's cool in Astoria is you can plan a day around a bakery crawl, but stores? Yeah, I'm not really able to plan a boutique hop down Broadway at this point. Astoria is sorely lacking cute, trendy places to buy handmade, locally designed or unique/timely gifts. Lockwood is filling that gap. It's fun to browse. It gets your creativity going. I am friends with the owner, but who cares? The place is awesome. SOooooo much cool stuff for gifts and a whole room for kids. Decorated really nicely, I really can't even believe this place exists - and here in Queens. The old business SITE was about a quarter of what this is. Clothes, bags, prints, kitchen stuff - it's just about a guaranteed hit. Astoria is truly here. So many people are patronizing the businesses here, so many people in the streets shopping and eating. Their soaps and perfumes are made with with wonderful ingredients, their toys are made from quality materials, their baby clothes are made from organic cotton. Been to this store a few times, but this was the first time I've actually bought something. They've got a great selection of unique items you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere. I ordered online and did an I store pickup. While the exact color print I ordered was out of stock (it's a very popular item), I left in a far better situation then what I could have imagined. The staff was very apologetic and promptly found the same print in another color. This was non issue for me as both are fantastic anyway. I asked if they could wrap it not realizing this was something they normally don't do. The manager quickly rushed to the back to find a solution. The print is an off size and wouldn't fit in a standard mailer. When they came back however I was blown away to find they had expertly wrapped my print and even added a ribbon! I LOVE love the Lockwood stores and was so happy when they expanded. It's a great place to buy gifts for anyone you know. Albeit pricey - I love shopping there to support my local, small businesses. They have an incredible selection of everything. From candles to bar supplies to jewelry to Astoria/Queens branded items. The Lockwood Style offers fun sunglasses, clothing, shoes, and some beauty products now. If you follow their Instagram account - you will see new products that they just get in. It's the best. The best part about Lockwood is that they have 15% off deals quite often and Lockwood rewards. Those points really add up! I feel bad giving Lockwood 3 stars, but I went in this weekend and could not be any more disappointed. I was shopping at Lockwood Style with a friend. The store wasn't too busy - but there were a few people shopping in there as well and probably about 3 employees working. They will just walk past you, not say a word and not even glance at you. No acknowledgement at all. I couldn't believe I had to ask for help with something while the employees are standing around just chatting with each other. I used to read these reviews about terrible customer service there and think to myself - no way.. they're always the best! It is not the case anymore. The service at Lockwood has always been great, but Lockwood Style needs a refresher or a customer service training course from Lockwood. I don't know what kind of water they're drinking, but I'm sure customers will not be back unless you start providing better customer service and becoming friendly. Very disappointed :/ on how the sales person treated after I went there to make an exchange of a fragrance ( I accidentally took the wrong box) I went there to exchange.She said she couldn't exchange because they didn't have the fragrance I wanted and that they didn't have for a while! I claimed the box I took I was behind the tester but this is not the fragrance that I wanted and I asked if I can exchange for another one and she didn't let me. She said her return and exchange policy is valid only for 10 days! The package was good and I didn't use the fragrance! I don't understand why she didn't let me exchange! I actually ended up leaving the fragrance anyways because I didn't like the smell and that's not what I wanted. She had a resting bitch face all the time while she was dealing with me ! I'm reviewing the Lockwoods home goods outpost adjacent to the clothing Lockwoods. This place attracts tourists as much as it does locals (well, the gentry, really). It's a nicely curated collection of stuff you'd find in: Fishs Eddy (actual "Good Morning, Asshole" mugs were there), Anthropologie, Kikkerland, and possible the MoMa store. And maybe Whole Foods -- there were 12-dollar jars of flavored peanut butter there. Definitely worth a visit, even if to just gawk at all of the amazing things (down to the furniture that displays the merch): Good Morning Asshole mugs, tons of cake stands, baking stuff, party planning accessories, etc... I have been to lockwood multiple times and lately i feel like staff arent so friendly. Somehow im always the first to say hello or make eye contact with staff. Walked in today and the girl was on the phone i said hello and smiled and literally no response not even a smile. I want to support and love this store but everytime i enter staff is pretty cold within last year. Then i go towards ditmars and enter brass owl where the staff is always cheerful and friendly. Moving from Brooklyn to Astoria, there were some stores I missed visiting frequently... like A&E Merch, Whisk, the little mall on Bedford, etc... but I stumbled upon Lockwood (which I saw on an Astoria blog and how it was on Orange is the New Black). Good but not great. If you are only going seldomly it's fun with quirky stuff. They don't rotate their merchandise often. How many coin purses with Queens on it can you buy. Their clothing "annex" is fun but for some reason the clothing always fits a but "off." I know it's the brands they carry and not the store, but super frustrating. Lockwood has an amazing collection of home goods, gifts, candy, cards, and more--I always stop there first when I'm trying to shop local for the holidays. I also love all of their Astoria and Queens-themed gear, perfect for an outer borough local! The aesthetic is so light and sweet I sometimes just like to walk through and window shop. It can be a tad pricey for a local store, sometimes rising closer to a boutique level. Still, they have some good sales and also a loyalty program where points add up fast. I've gotten great gifts here--from candles to lotions to wine glasses to kids items to jewelry to home decor. It's very curated and everything is one-of-a-kind, so people really enjoy the unique present. You could walk in, spend 5 minutes in one of the stores, and walk out without anyone saying a word to you. No greetings, no thanks for coming. I learned after visiting both this location as well as the Lockwood in Jackson Heights, that they don't have the same promotions going on simultaneously, which is understandable since they don't carry the same exact merchandise. The one location had 30% off on housewares, and this Lockwood did not, however, this location, had a soap dish that caught my eye, but I didn't feel the price was justified, and the same soap dish was unavailable at the Jackson Heights store. Anyhow, I ended up not buying the soap dish, but instead bought a pair of earrings that initially brought me here! This store is definitely bigger, but something about it feels a little less warm and welcoming, inviting. The customer service in Jackson Heights was excellent. Here, it was decent. DO NOT get me started on the Lockwood clothing store right next door because the ice princess who runs THAT place could not be bothered to make one sound come out of her mouth the entire time we were there, neither did she greet the few customers that left right before we did. Aren't you supposed to ask your customers if they need any help finding something? I feel this might be a job for NATHAN FIELDER. First thing he'd suggest is to get nicer employees, and second might be a dedicated man zone for guys to bro out! It's always funny when you could buy something on the net, but go out of your way to shop local then you're sorry you did. The merch is cute and decently priced, but the first time I was in there I got to hear two of the sales staff having a discussion loudly enough for the whole shop to hear including dropping the F bomb. The second time I went in specifically for a piece of jewelry that I'd seen the first time I went in. Not finding it, I asked the girl at the register if they still carried it. I was met with a blank stare and a curt "I have no idea." Wow, really, you ''have no idea." Well thanks for for the non help, came home and found it online. Essentially a curated Etsy shop. They have all sorts of cool little gifts and knick knacks. I especially enjoy all the cool Queens/Astoria gear. Everything is reasonably priced.
