I've collected Jonathan Adler furniture for years, and my home is predominantly furnished with their pieces -- so it's especially disappointing to write this review. I ordered a sofa that arrived in an open, poorly taped box, with visible damage and a foot-long tear in the bottom lining of the sofa. It was clearly mishandled and poorly packaged from the start. The situation was made worse by the lack of urgency or accountability from customer service. I had to follow up multiple times to get a refund, and there was no apology or acknowledgment of the condition the item arrived in. Even more concerning: while the website sometimes labels certain pieces as "final sale," the reality is that all furniture is final sale, whether it's marked that way or not. This policy is not clearly disclosed at checkout and feels intentionally misleading -- especially when you're spending thousands of dollars on large, made-to-order items. This is not the level of transparency, service, or quality I expect from a brand that markets itself as luxury. After this experience, I'll be looking at other brands. I no longer trust Jonathan Adler to deliver on their promise of quality or stand behind what they sell. read more

Great furniture. Jonathan is very talented and kind. The customer service is terrible and ruined everything for me. The thrill is gone. After spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on beds, credenza, chairs, pillows, throws, gifts and more, you can't even replace a defective picture frame that doesn't stand up??? Goodbye, Jonathan. Just moved to a new condo in Weho and need to furnish it and make it glamorous. So many great furniture stores in the area to choose from, you really should treat a JA Insider better and not cause me to shop elsewhere. read more

I ordered an item that, according to the JA wesbite, woud ship on 7/6/26. The item never arrived. When I tracked the package through JA's website, it said that the item was being "prepared" for shipping on 7/6/26, but had not shipped. It is now 8 days later, the item never arrived,and it is IMPOSSIBLE to communicate with anyone at this company.. I sent multiple emails to their customer service department. No response. I called the customer service telephone number. It is out of service. I tried calling individual stores aeound the country, but every time, my call was immediately put on indefinite hold. I do not believe this company is even in business anymore. And if they are, they are charging people's credit cards, not delivering product and not communicating through any medium. Shame on you,Jomathan Adler. You used to be such a great retailer. In my opinion, you are now just a scam. read more

My husband bought me the Aquamarine Credenza that we saw in the window of your Upper East Side showroom. After paying thousands of dollars for the piece, the experience started off poorly when the delivery was incredibly unprofessional - as it was outsourced and not "white glove" and the delivery person got injured trying to lift the piece. I had to give him ice and we had to get another company to our home to finish delivery. Then, I did not even use the piece because the quality was so poor. The drawers are thin and flimsy and I did not think it could hold dishes or silverware (I even had a discussion with a Jonathan Adler employee who confirmed the drawers held papers, etc.). Also, the piece is so heavy, it cannot be moved from the spot it was delivered. The empty, new, pristine piece was sitting in my hallway unused as I was figuring out how to use the piece without damaging it. A few months after delivery, my husband was walking down the hallway and his body (short, slight build) lightly brushed the brass knob for the top left hand drawer. It should be noted the large brass drawer knobs are installed via a cut through the glass and they are screwed in and protrude at least 3/4 of an inch and are intended to be pulled to open the drawer. Unbelievably, the mere touch of the knob from its side was enough to shatter the glass all around the knob (it must have been installed on a Kant or screwed in too tightly - or perhaps this was just a design defect - glass drawers should pull from the underside and not have drilled holes in them). I considered how to fix this. The glass is painted, so the glass cannot be replaced. In any event, I called Jonathan Adler. No one was willing to help me, despite many calls. I was hopeful they would stand behind the product and replace it. The answer was a firm no and they offered no solution but to use the credenza with shattered glass. Not helpful. When my husband was in NYC, he visited another Jonathan Adler store (he purchased the credenza by calling Jonathan Adler). The Aquamarine Credenza in the window of the closed Upper East Side store that we noticed originally was itself scratched and cracked and being damaged out since the store had closed. My husband asked that Jonathan Adler please consider exchange our new, cracked drawer with the used, old drawer from the damaged credenza. No one was willing to accommodate this request. Finally, after many long phone calls and complaints, we escalated the matter and Sydney ( the only helpful employee at Jonathan Adler who definitely went out of her way many times to help us and who should be recognized for her wonderful customer care) came back to us and offered that we pay a certain sum for the old drawer of the broken credenza that was being "damaged out." My husband felt so bad for accidentally "touching" and breaking the credenza, that he agreed to this arrangement. Sydney delivered the old drawer to a friend's apartment in NYC for us and we appreciate her help However, I remain upset as I assume the old drawer will be faded, perhaps chipped, and not match the other pieces exactly any way - and we will have no recourse yet again. Except for Sydney, who should be promoted and praised, I found the customer service experience at Jonathan Adler to be substandard for a company of this repute, and I want everyone to know that the company definitely does not stand behind its products. If a glass credenza has holes drilled in the glass for the knobs, there should be some protective mechanism to ensure that using or touching the knob (even from the side) will not shatter the surrounding glass. It should be noted that we are incredibly meticulous and careful individuals who take pride in our possessions. To say the least, I will never recommend Jonathan Adler to any of my friends. The furniture looks nice and the colors are great, but the quality is very cheap and the customer service is horrible. I am extremely disappointed. read more

Jonathan Adler is a high end home furnishing store with the American potter (and interior decorator) Jonathan Adler's creations. These are one of a kind trendy designs. We had a store on Madison Avenue not far from my apartment that closed. I am glad this location and a few others in Manhattan are still open. I always feel welcomed when I shop here. The employees are very nice and helpful when I have a question. I'm usually looking for a gift for my daughter since she loves these pieces and decor. Naturally when we are out shopping together we stop in to see what's new. You can also request the catalog and order online. I just received the recent catalog this past week. It's just in time for my daughters birthday in July! I'm recommending this Jonathan Adler location and his whimsical decor when you decide to redecorate. His designs are always a hit with family guests too. Especially my Jonathan Adler Salt and Pepper Shaker. read more

Please read the fine print, I'm warning you, dear consumers. I bought a small desk that can't weigh more than 25 pounds. Didn't look right in my apartment. $1600 down the drain, they said it was a final sale item. Where was this final sale notated? The small print somewhere NOT where the table was listed. First time in my life someone wld not accept a return. What's wrong with these people? We're not all made of money. Definitely priced at a high end range, but their products are so beautiful and original. I would spend thousands here if I could afford to! I've purchased art from Jonathan Adler and keep receiving compliments 'til this day! I tend to drop by here just to window shop, but the staff is super fun and friendly so it's always a positive experience. read more

How. Terribly. Awful. If I could give it less stars, I would. Today I walked in- was the ONLY client in the little shop. Three employees there, NOT ONE turned to greet me. One was too busy on the computer, while the other two were too busy chatting about dating. I purposely walked passed and AROUND them. Nope. Not even eye contact. Acted like I wasn't there. RUDE. You would think with all of that free time on their hands, they would try and make the displays look even slightly decent. Embarrassingly sad merchandising compared to other locations. Two other people came in- no greeting to them either. They turned and walked out. I love J-Adler's things. I've bought a few pieces at their UES and also the Village locations. I work next door to this location AND I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT in here again. I will make sure to tell everyone to NEVER come to this location. Good job representing the brand. read more

This is a lovely showroom. The sales assistants are a little weird about you sitting on the furniture, but I guess that comes with the territory. Think Ikea but triple the price, and double the quality. read more

After the stellar attention and expertise that I experienced here I had to write a review. I was warmly welcomed and asked if I needed help. I was left to wander throughout the large store without being followed or harangued. When I asked a salesperson a question she couldn't have been more responsive and professional. I ended up purchasing a pillow that was located in a different store and both saleswomen went beyond the call of duty to locate the pillow and ship it to me. I purchased a $4000 sofa for a client. After 7 months one of the buttons in the tufting came loose and left a tear in the velvet. After a back and forth with the store for a month they finally said they weren't going to do anything about it. That is not the way it should have been handled, especially for a sofa that cost $4K. My advise - Go somewhere else. read more
