I went into this with super low expectations. It was the only restaurant in town and looked super sketch from the outside. But inside was nice and clean and service was great. Food was yummy too. The only things keeping it from 5 stars was the price. But if you're the only joint in town you can kinda charge what you want haha. read more

By God, I can't help but love this place. It's a case of not judging a book by it's cover. From the road, it looks run down, kind of shabby and needing some TLC. Signs on the front door basically give you the message that they're not about to put up with a bunch of whiny-ass tourists who expect everything catered to them -- they're serving what they serve, and if you don't like it, you can eat elsewhere. Being from a tourist area in Wisconsin, I totally get that and even found it appealing. Once they've scared off the pain in the ass tourists, the inside is lovely, clean and well decorated. The waitress was super friendly, the food was outstanding. I had the best burger and incredible french fries that I've likely ever had, my wife had hot beef and mashed potatoes -- a serving that was literally cowboy-sized. Great food. Great service. It will be a featured stop on future trips thru Montana. read more

Funky rough exterior, country local cute interior. The beer batter french fries are incredible. The FU Burger is one of my all time favorites. Fantastic Ultimate Burger is a 1/2 lb. Bacon and Mushroom fully loaded burger. Unlimited soft drinks. The wait staff was great. If you missed lunch there, it is your loss. We will be back, if in the area. read more

Don't let the humble exterior fool you. This charming cafe has amazing freshly cooked potato chips and smoked pulled pork. The burgers and fries were awesome, too. We were looking for anywhere to get a bite to eat between Billings and Great Falls and were glad to find the Loco Creek Grill. We'd absolutely stop there again. Real cowboys eat here (not those posers with turquoise lizard boots). I'm always on the lookout for authentic local eateries and this is a good one. We were passing through on the way to Billings and found this place at a crossroads. Yes, you can get food at the gas station/minimart next door, but go here. My husband had a burger made with locally grown beef and homemade chips and it was terrific. I had the hot beef sandwich and it was lovely comfort food. Friendly staff with a down home attitude. First red flag should have been the dirty entry way and the smell of stale grease. But we were traveling and wanted some breakfast. I had the 1/2 biscuits snd gravy and my husband had bacon, 1 egg and hash browns. Mine was just plain gross and not edible and my husband's was cold. Waitress was attentive but cook was super slow. Took over 45 minutes to get our food and they weren't busy. I don't recommend. read more

Fast, friendly service, and great food! They serve their drinks in cute little mason jars, and the poutine had chunks of curd cheese as wide as the steak fries. The batter on their chicken strips was light and crispy, and their lemonade will quench any thirst! Do stop by! read more

A little difficult to find as it's on the other side of The road from where the map shows it and their signage is pretty nonexistent, and if I am being completely honest, it appeared just a bit sketchy from the outside. BUT - once inside it was clean, friendly and they made a great BLT even though they didn't have it on the menu. - and the homemade chips were excellent! read more

When you happen to be hunting in Twodot, make it a point to swing by the cafe in Harlowton! The service is great and the food even better.

This isn't one of them Mongolian grills or nothing but this place is real nice and homie with amazing people for staff the waitress was very kind and always kept up with checking in and even the cook who came out to hand me my food while she was busy was very kind and clean this is an amazing establishment in a very remote town would recommend to anyone. read more

If you ever find yourself in Harlowton (and I can't imagine that's likely) this is as good as it gets; and I don't mean just for Harlowton, I mean anywhere. It's far from fancy in appearance, it's a real rancher local place. The food was GREAT! Real food in real quantities that taste great and fills you up. I really appreciated that they let the food speak for itself, not overly seasoned and the true flavors come through of the fresh ingredients. And it was hot! I love it when I get a real hot meal that is this good. read more

Awful service. But I'm sure it's hard to find good help in a place like Harlowtown. When we were ordering my old man asked the one waitress if the chicken friend steak was home made/hand breaded. Her response was, in an annoyed way, "I didn't know, I'm not back there when they cook it." Probably should have just walked out and gone some place else after that. Would have given it 1 star but the food turned out good and had good sized portions. Felt bad for the cooks, I think they were fed up with her as well. These small town resturants in eastern montana can definitly be hit or miss. This one was a miss. read more
