Before visiting, I had…read moreread several negative reviews mentioning disrespectful customer service and employees belittling customers. Despite those reviews, I decided to give them a chance. I called ahead to let them know I was on my way to make the purchase. I arrived shortly before closing, around 5:55 PM. As soon as I walked in, an older gentleman made rude comments about me shopping only a few minutes before closing. One younger employee was kind and tried to defuse the situation, even telling me not to listen to him because he was a "grump." I was prepared to spend over $500, but I left without buying a single plant. I understand that I arrived near closing time, but I had called ahead and expected basic courtesy and professionalism. Instead, I felt unwelcome, belittled, and as though my business was an inconvenience. Unfortunately, the negative reviews I read beforehand turned out to be accurate. I chose not to spend my money at a business that treats customers this way. Respect and customer service matter, regardless of the time of day.

I love going and seeing all the new up and coming businesses that I can support on Long Island, and I always enjoy that these markets are held at a nursery. There are always so many great vendors but I'd like to highlight some great food options, I'll also be @ their instagrams, definitely look them up! To start I got some chocolate boba milk tea from @wickedsisterstea, it was a perfect pick me up, just sweet enough and super flavorful. They also sell an assortment of loose teas that I highly recommend! Next my boyfriend and I sampled some empanadas at @amped_panadas, we shared the Florentine which is the vegetarian option and was super juicy and cooked perfectly and we shared the "the amped" a sloppy Joe empanada very clearly cooked with love. Two special shoutouts to @thelidipcompany and @creationsofbacon we sampled the Greek and baked clam dip which was basically a gyro and baked clam that can be served with crackers and pita. Unfortunately she was sold out otherwise my boyfriend and I would've bought it all! We also sampled the bacon Oreo and bacon jam sandwich at creations of bacon. Perfect mix of sweet savory and spicy! Lastly we stopped at @prettybakedonlongisland. We bought some jalapeño cheddar pretzels and she was having BOGO 50% off cookies so of course I grabbed a couple of those! Overall, todays farmers market experience was a great first time back! I'm so excited for the spring season and what's to come. Another social shout out to all the other vendors, the candle makers, crystal sellers, and pickle guys! You were not overlooked, but you also weren't bacon... Daisy's Garden was the perfect location to have this and as the weather gets warmer more vendors can definitely be added to the outside. So excited for more markets at this adorable location!

Prices are reasonable for the North Fork. If you get the local pennysaver they have an advert. for $5 off $40 in purchases. Staff is knowledgeable and will assist you finding a particular item. Parking lot is huge. The Farm Market is a separate large building. Before Covid they had some indoor seating and a good bakery. Now it looks empty. Just a few pies, jars of jelly and candles. Definitely worth a visit to The Glass Greenhouse side of the business.

I ate one slice that night and one the following day. I left NY after that otherwise I would have eaten more. We also picked up goat cheese with blueberry and lemon zest that was fantastic! My friends have been here before and went out of their way to get the pie today. I'm sure we'll all be back!
