Terrible value for the service. These guys charged $90 to smog a Honda CRV. Frustratingly, they charge an additional fee for SUVs even if your SUV is the same size as most cars. I initially blamed inflation, but discovered after the fact that I got hosed. I urge my fellow consumers to shop around and find something in the $65 to $70 range. No complaints regarding quality. These guys provide the same service that any other smog place does. read more

Had a great visit. As I was walking to the front door, I could see the technician leave the bay to come meet me at the register. He was very polite and let me know it would be a 45 minute wait. He ended up having out the door in less than 30 minutes. My car failed but he informed me that I get a free retest, so I'm more than happy to come back because I don't have to pay and I know I'll get great customer service. First time customer, but certainly won't be the last! Was in a pinch to get Grandma's smog done and relied on my fellow Yelpers for recommendations. Decided to go with Lodi Quick Smog. I never had a bad experience until today. Last week I went by the shop 3 days in a row. This place was closed. Today I went by there 9/8/2023. I got there at 12:15. I figured the guy was out to lunch so I came back at 1:00 thinking ya an hr lunch he should be back. Now its 130 an I am sitting in the hot sun still no one. The buisness next door says ya he usually goes to lunch and come back. hmmmm. I finally see someone in there about 140. I go up and knock at the door the guy is sweeping. I am knocking for about 2 minutes finally he turns around and sees me. He comes to the door and says I wont be open for about another 45 mins!! I am like are you kidding me????? I have been sitting out in this hot sun for almost an hr. I came here and you were not here, he looked at me and said i have only been closed for about 15 mins~ I said no you werent I have been here wtf. Now to boot my pop had just passed away and I have no patience today. I told the guy look this is my pops van its a 1996 you and on other place are the only people that do this please just open up and get this done....I am hot I have my dog in the car and I live 35 mins away from here. He looked at me and said you are going to have to wait....Not I am sorry to hear about your pops, not let me help you , but you have to wait out in the hot sun.....!!!! I watched him close the door and continue to sweep the floor. Are you kidding me? You would rather turn a customer away instead. I have never been treated so rude in my life. This guy is milking this company taking his lunches and I know because I came by several times that week and he is always closed for long periods of time. If i could let his manager know I def would. I took my Toyota Highlander to this business for a routine smog inspection on a Tuesday afternoon and I was the only customer. The young man that helped me was professional and efficient, and completed the inspection in less than 15 minutes and I was on my way. With the results transmitted directly to the DMV, I was able to complete my annual vehicle registration online. It's across the street from a strip mall - if you have to wait at least you can go browse some stores. I was in and out in :20 today. Could not have been any better. Painless expreience and they offered a discount with check-in. We were the only ones there for a test and it took about 10 minutes. Was glad the car passed. We had a car that failed a visual a couple years ago (no CARB sticker on aftermarket air cleaner) got the sticker and they retested for free. This is an unfortunate and expensive ritual California makes you go through every other year. Lots of places in Henderson for $9.95 but the test is totally different. You wonder how some of the mosquito machines (& diesels) ever pass any kind of test. I like that they transmit the results electronically and you just cruise over to DMV, pay your fees and pickup your sticker (after 90 minute wait, topic for another time.) read more

Wow, I was driving by with my two large dogs in the car, when I remembered I needed a smog. I pulled in and was greeted with a smile. After leashing my dogs and unloading them I sat in the shade and waited for the smog procedure. I had just started surfing social media when I looked up and my car was finished. So impressed. Lodi Quick Smog is a fair priced, very pleasant place of business for your smog needs. It's bad enough the State requires us to smog our older vehicles upon sale in addition to every 2 years for registration renewal. It's nice to know there's a place with very COURTEOUS staff and efficient service that should accommodate any busy lifestyle. I have brought all my vehicles here and have never had a bad experience even when the vehicle didn't pass inspection. I would like to leave a review of the service at Lodi Quick Smog but I have tried for several months to call for an appointment using their posted phone number, (209) 339-9300, but each time there was no answer. It is hard to do business with them if you cannot reach them to make an appointment. In addition, there were no answering machine messages announcing that "You've reached Lodi Quick Smog..." nor was there a facility for leaving a message for them to call me back. read more

What happened to 1st come 1st serve? I was the 1st person before 3 others. Just because, my car is 25 years old, I was told it was going to take longer, no problem. The problem starts when, they decide they want to take the younger cars first and I was waiting long before, the others showed up. I walked in at 1:25 pm and had to leave at 2:45 pm, too angry and upset. This place is not quick and I had to find another Smog Check station. I hope no one ever has to go through, what I did. Super fast and easy STAR station smog, but its twice the price than anywhere else. Don't come here if you are on a budget.

This was my first time there. I had a check engine light on. I didn't know that when you have a check engine light on, you WILL NOT pass the smog check. They took my car and hooked it up. It failed. He tells me I need to fix the check engine light problem and come back. I take my car to Nissan and there I was told that a reputable place would have told me that I would never pass with the light on and not charge me a fee or run the test. I had the $10.00 off online coupon and paid $40.00 to be told to fix the check engine light. I was very angry when I was told that I was taken advantage of. I went back to them and told the lady behind the counter that I felt l was robbed and I felt like the guy doing the work knew it. I told her I felt that I had already paid for the test and I felt that they should run the test again at no charge. They agreed to do that, I did pay the $10.00 fee for the certificate. In the end I got the test done for a total of $50.00 but I also walked away feeling that this place was a bit shady and I will be looking for some place else next time. read more

I've been here a few times with three different vehicles. My first two cars I didn't have a problem with, they were older cars that just needed to pass smog and they passed no problem. Happy, glad to return because it's quick and to the point. However with the third vehicle we do have a small issue. Our check engine light came on 2 days after we got it smogged and it was an emissions code. We were nervous that it was something this shop did so we went back to talk to the guy. He talked with us after making us wait for 30 mins! Was NOT happy about that since the women at the desk said it would be one minute. Also, he wrote down on our paper that our tire pressure was at 35 PSI. Our tires were not at that level. I don't know if he just looked at them and threw a wild guess, or if he actually tested them, but either way you slice it the number was not correct. read more

First of all, this place is the best in the area. It's clean, comfortable, and the employees and owners are professional. Check this place out. I met one of the new owners and was very impressed. He told me that he and his business partner purchased the shop in mid 2015 and the business has been growing. There were 2 other customers ahead of me. The technician was friendly and quick.
